Beat sighed as his wounds partially healed thanks to the properties of his armor. It had never been a secret that Asterios was by far the strongest of the three bosses they would fight that day, but his strength did seem overwhelming. Fortunately, Beat had already experienced one boss raid where retreat really had become the only option and this situation was far from as bad as the Biceps fight had been. 

"Well, I suppose I can see what I've got to offer here..." He said, pausing as he glanced at his still unimpressive reserve of energy, "Though I doubt that will be much." 

With another long exhale, Beat charged forward, dodging to the left of Asterios and leaping towards his head, slamming a fully charged, fifth level sword art against the beast's cheekbone. The force exploded around the minotaur's head, but Beat could tell some of it still got through. Still, it was rather pathetic compared to what the others were capable of. 

"Walp...that was fun!" Beat said, laughing at himself as he retreated to the safety of his party.

[Baldur 0]

Now that Baldur had his bearings straight, he spun around on his heels to follow Calrex in as the bluenette attacked the giant minotaur. Moving in with a pincher like attack, Baldur watched as Cal missed the giant minotaur, but in evading Calrex's blow, Asterios moved into Baldur's blade. The red light of the <<Muramasa>> cleaved into the massive leg of the bull man, as Baldur whipped through the motions of <<San Ge>> with expert precision and practice.

"Just keep up the thread Cal, we can win this eventually!"

As his sword art ended and Baldur was left motionless for a moment, he raised his blade to shield him. He didn't have as much mitigation as he liked, but he also didn't have alcoholic, so he'd have to rely on his evasion to survive this fight. He had bought his energy drinks, and a teleport crystal, and some healing in case he had to. There was paralysis flying all around, but he didn't have enough time to drink his antidote potion. It was better to act now with attacks while he was still strong. Hopefully they wouldn't get paralyzed again, but the boss would need to hit him first.

This fight wasn't an event.  It was a slaughter fest waiting to happen.  With the introduction of six more beastly guards in armor most elegant, the hunter could only wonder what was really going on.  Where did this events information come from?  Who let the tier ones go into a fight like this?  This fight was a floor boss raid, without any doubt about it.  The creator of this world was throwing impossible odds at them, and it was showing.  The front liners that he had fought with were having more problems that he had seen in any of their other fights together.  Were they all not prepared?  The hunter thought that he shouldn't be here anymore.  Using a teleportation crystal, he felt that it was best for him to get out of there.  He wouldn't be of any use here, after getting everyone else out.

"I'm not useful here, not without some buffs.  I'm leaving these here.  Use them to get the weak out!"

[Takao 0]

A dry, amused chuckle rumbled in Takao's chest as he watched the scene unfold. He thought that the curve of difficulty for Sword Art Online was more like a rollercoaster than a scale, and it showed with these event battles that popped up on floors at random intervals. It was almost as if the game was challenging their feelings of safety, and perhaps rightfully so. It was a dead game after all, he mused. Without the proper buffing instruments normally afforded to a player prior to a floor boss raid, he found himself hindered greatly. The mitigation of the monster was stalling damage and its own output was impressive, even terrifying to a degree. What better way was there to deal with it than drink? Drink he did, via a flask spawned from his inventory, which invigorated his damage and stunted his unsystematic evasiveness. A poor choice perhaps, but more damage output would help bring the ridiculous thing down quicker.

[Asterios 0]

Showing a smug face after paralyzing almost the entirety of the last group, the bullman turned towards the next group foolish creatures that dared to defy him. His eyes set on the blue man that had been getting the majority of his attention and as he saw him switching to a more offensive move, Asterios simply moved out of his striking range mere moments before he could land a fight.

"It will take more than..." he started gloating until he spotted the apparently unarmed guy going towards him. He tried to grab him as he got in close range but the target dodged his hand in return punched him in the face. However, all that wasted movement reduced the impact damage. The bull showed a grin and spit to the side asking the retreating man with a taunting tone: "That all you got boy?"

In that moment, he felt a sharp pain in his right leg. His eyes immediately caught sight of the blue clad samurai that was next to him, cleaving against his calve. With all these frighten monkeys retreating, it seems that there were still some that wanted to put up a fight alongside the now stunned group that had been subjected to the bovine god's wrath. "Haven't seem you around... You seem pretty optimistic. I should do something about that." he muttered, preparing to launch his counterattack. He picks up his massive weapon and swirls it around, hitting almost all the ones that tried to attack him, his AoE attack even clipping those that try to escape.

With great determination as Asterios had chosen to bring forth more reinforcements because he’s too weak himself to fight them all, Macradon would only snicker lightly, it seems that the fighting was slowly getting to the finish line … hopefully. Macradon would take this opportunity to do as much damage as he could to as much as possible, and therefore release his sword art Calmity Disaster. 6 fierce swipes would cleave through 3 guards and Asterios as the health was withered … the guards’ health was chunked down, but Asterios had his enormeous mitigation that would hold back a lot of the damage Macradon would’ve dealt to him, which was fine. It didn’t seem like he was the target of most and would be able to take up some hate across the board for now, having the royal guards in his sight. He would finish his attack and hope that his comrades would follow in with attacks.

Itzal watched as players attacked Asterios, very slowly depleting it's health into, and past the half health zone.  Asterios in response, paralyzed the strongest group yet again, and had summoned up three additional royal guards.  Itzal looked at them all in disbelief.  You had to be kidding he thought to himself.  He readied his sword and Velnia hovered beside him, anxious to do something.  "Right, let's target the guards Velnia.  We have no hope in taking down Asterios."  Velnia nodded.  As long as the purple hyperactive dragon could get in on some of the action, she was totally fine with it.  Itzal charged his sword art and dashed forward, releasing Shadow Explosion on them and dealing weak, but decent damage with his current stats.  After landing the hit he retreated back towards the others.  Why did the minions have to have high mitigation as well?  If they were just going to keep coming back over and over again, they shouldn't have any mitigation at all he thought.

Shield's eyes drifted across the battlefield, his brow furrowing as he saw the number of players dwindling. True, those who had fled would likely contribute little, but it felt like he was back on the Bluebird facing off against Biceps Achelon. He grit his teeth before uncorking the phial holding one of his dwindling supply of health potions. This was going to be an interesting fight one way or the other, but with the multitude of guards arriving on the battlefield, Shield's job was becoming more treacherous.

He watched as his health increased to the nearest that he had been to full since first engaging with Asterios. Still, he knew that if the enemies had any amount of luck that it would be dipping down frighteningly low.

"Everyone look likely," he growled to his team, bracing his shoulder against the back of his shield. "The storm is coming, and it may be a fierce one."

As the effects of the paralysis finally wore off the ginger headed giant planted the butt cap of his axe, Invictus, in the ground and used the weapon's haft to lever himself to his feet. Rolling his head around on his neck, the towering soldier scanned the field of battle and noted the changes. "Time flies when you're having fun," the bearded man spat, swinging his axe across his body to hold the weapon in both hands and consider his actions. With six Royal Guards standing around, in addition to Asterios, there was plenty to be getting on with, and the Vice Commander of the Knights of the Blood Oath knew that his job, typically, was to clear the trash mobs that had spawned in.

Tightening his grip on the two-handed bearded axe to a white-knuckled tightness, the viking-like fighter sprang forward and charged into motion towards the knot of Royal Guards that Asterios had spawned in. Wielding the weapon with what was entirely too much ease, Mack sent the blade scything through one of the soldiers, reducing it to pixels. Continuing his charge, he slammed a shoulder into a second minotaur, blasting the creature from its feet, before slamming the axe head into the bull man's chest. A third minotaur was grabbed by a handful of fur and rammed forcefully backward onto the business end of the weapon of a fourth Royal Guardsman and as that fourth, and final, Guard pulled its weapon free from his compatriot the heavy bearded head of Invictus buried itself in the fourth minotaur's head before being ripped savagely free.

OOC: I am assuming that since: A. I was paralyzed, B. Shield's actions have created space for me, and C. I have yet to attack the Royal Guards that I can use a "Charge on them". If this is incorrect, each of them should get a +70 to their HP.
