[OP-F1] Welcome to Lake Wobegon, where all the women are strong, all the men are good-looking, and all the children are above average.

It was morning time in Aincrad. Perhaps a much later morning than most, but Samriel still counted roughly eleven in the a.m. as 'morning'. She'd had a late breakfast so probably would hold off for food until dinner time. Which meant she had the rest of the day to fill with...anything really. But today she felt like she needed to hit something. Strolling out of the Town of Beginnings, the woman paused just as she got the warning she was leaving the City's safe zone before equipping her heavy armor, but not bothering with her hammer and shield just yet. Looking down at her body, Samriel sighed. If it was just a golden breastplate (even trimmed with rubies) and the black leather pants, she would have no qualms. Still a little odd for her, but hey, armor's armor, right? But with the white cape trimmed with bear fur not to mention the intricately carved golden fox's head with even larger rubies for eyes...the woman felt ostentatious to say the least. She didn't think any guy would put this much ridiculous detail into their craft, but boy howdy was she wrong.

Now in full armor, the blonde headed Northeast. She'd seen the forests of the first floor to a fair extent, but hadn't ever had much reason to venture to the more lake filled area. Why not today as they say. It didn't take long to reach the lake region surprisingly. Standing at a small plateau overlooking the numerous small lakes, the healer took in the view. She had to say that no matter how hellish this game was....it didn't stop it from being damn gorgeous at times. "Wow there's even a rainbow." She remarked aloud, spotting a waterfall that created the pretty prismatic effect.

Jogging down to the nearest lake with a faint smile and managing not to trip over her own feet not even once, the blonde skidded to a stop when she saw the red cursor of a monster in the form of a turtle. A fairly large turtle, but a turtle nonetheless. "Sorry buddy, but you're exp waitin' to be claimed." Samriel announced as she equipped her hammer and shield before rushing up to the aquatic creature and bringing Dawnbreaker down on it's shell with a nearly ear ringing 'thwong~' sound. Wincing, the blonde almost wished she had a bladed weapon, but perhaps her hammer would be more effective.

Enma persisted the idea to Dominion as they sat on the cold dirt ground, to go to his own dominion located at the waterfall of the first floor. Simple hand gestures they had started to use in order to communicate simple ideas with, were being used more commonly now. Finally, Dominion submitted to Enma's request with a nod of approval some three days later. Dominion hadn't done anything for Enma, besides feeding him regularly and going out to practice and partake in adventures. The digital sun was still barely crossing over the horizon, and was still none-existent in the town of beginning when Dominion raised his head. The giant wall that surrounded the metropolis blocked out anything that wasn't high in the sky. So, Dominion raised his right arm and equipped his Monkey King Armor, Monkey Ring, and Monkey King semblance before standing up in the alleyway, the same place he used to call an abode. His spirit monkeys materialized over his hands as Dominion began to walk, Enma standing atop his shoulder with one leg, keeping balance on the moving shoulder with ease. However, Enma seemed more happy, not having his arms crossed, but instead fidgeting. Dominion grinned at his familiar's odd change of mood before turning back to the dirt street ahead.

Dominion had gotten through the thick underbrush, the giant trees that the Nepents perfered to dwell in, and entered the clearing, which was the exact location Enma had been found. The waterfall and all trees around it were Enma's abode. This was not some simple metaphor, as this was the place Dominion befriended his warrior monkey. The monkey had apparently made this spot his place to rule. Dominion placed his arms behind his head, forgetting that Enma would get hit from this motion. Enma jumped over his arm and made a flip to stand on the ground. Dominion had time to spend as Enma moved around his abode checking all the things that had changed or something like that. Dominion began to walk toward the waterfall, the place he had also seen Solomon. The noise was quite loud at this point, the water rushing down and crashing against the rock bottom. As Dominion began to walk beneath the great rush of water, his armor catching all the water for a short period of time, he noticed something. The back of the waterfall seemed to be spacious like a cave, echoing the great rush of water from the depths. Dominion took a step inside and found it to be decently lit by the refracting sunlight. However, simple markings on the walls of the cave, almost like that of tallies, were burned and traveled a good three fourths of the way around.

Shocked by what he saw, Dominion burst out the waterfall the way he came in. Dominion's armor seemed unaffected by the water, except for the new gleam the emitted. Looking around for Enma, he caught sight of the monkey from the top of a tree looking at something. "What is it Enma, what is it that you see?" Dominion called up to Enma, who gazed at a nearby lake. Dominion walked over to the tree and grabbed a low branch. That was all that was needed for Dominion to swiftly climb up to the top, swinging and leaping like the monkey king, showing the perfect form of his imitation martial arts. He only got a brief second for a break before he noticed a player attacking a turtle. Dominion turned to Enma, grinning profusely. "So, I am guessing you want to partake in the battle, or do you just want to meet the player? I would rather not intrude in someone else's combat if they don't want company" Dominion told and asked Enma, who was still focused at the lake. Dominion took that as a yes to both and turned to look down at the player, "Hey, what might you be doing out in the woods of the first floor?" Dominion called out to Samriel from near the highest branch of a nearby tree.

The attack startled the turtle mightily, so much so that it immediately shrank it's head limbs and tail into it's shell. "You can hide but you can't run." Samriel chided under her breath. She was considering it's shell and what might be the best angle to attack from, but before she could, a voice called out above her. Startling at the sudden intrusion, the blonde glanced up with squinting eyes against the morning sunlight. Sure enough, there in the high branches of a nearby tree was a player and a.... "Monkey?"  So distracted by this appearance, Samriel was nearly too slow to react to the turtle's head shooting out where it's tail had been. Neck elongating to reach out and snap at her. Quickly bracing herself behind her shield, the blonde managed to block most of the damage, smirking as the turtle made a weird displeased hissing noise as it took damage to from the enhancement on her jewel encrusted shield. Without looking up again, the healer called up, "I'm picking dandelions. What's it look like I'm doing?" Though her tone of voice wasn't annoyed, just slightly incredulous at the question.

It was already nearing noon as one of Mack's enormous hands brushed aside some of the leafy underbrush and revealed the lake that he had come in search of. It wasn't as if the location of the lake was something that was unknown, rather it was that Mack wanted to personally check it out before suggesting to his twin that she come down here to try her luck at fishing. The simple truth of the matter was that the ginger giant vastly preferred it if Magda stayed down on the first floor as much as was possible. She seemed to have the odd idea that she wanted to be a tank, but at this point her desire was more of a pipe dream than actual reality. As he emerged into the area where the lake was located a small brown missile shot out of the undergrowth and began looking around inquisitively.

"Chewie, I bet there are fish in that lake... why don't you go look," the soldier rumbled in a deep tone. The bear did not need to be told twice. In a flash of fur, Chewie was scampering down the embankment in the direction of the lake and it's cool blue waters.

Look, there was Samriel and a turtle in his way!

Was that going to slow him down when there were fishies on the line?

Not in the least.

Like a tiny freight train, the bear cub rumbled right on past Samriel, brushing against one of her legs in the process. With a short hop, he landed squarely on head of the turtle she was fighting, driving the turtle's head down into the ground. With an almighty leap, the grizzly leaped into the air and plunged into the lake with an enormous splash howling a battle cry at the fishies within.

For his part, Mack remained on the lake shore and drew his axe before planting the weapon in the ground and leaning on it. Samriel was glittering in the noon-day sun, thanks to the armor and weapons he had given to the blonde as gifts. She seemed to be doing just fine against the turtle for the time being. If the situation changed, of course, he would rush in to help.

It looked like the turtle was about to retaliate for the damage it had taken from her thorns enhancement while she was looking up and away from it, but before it could get a chance, something large and furry clipped Samriel's leg, knocking her off balance and causing her to fall over. This might have ended badly if said large and furry didn't conveniently use the turtle's head as a stepping stone on it's way to the lake water, causing a splash but mercifully not getting her wet any. "Uf..." Samriel grunted as she landed in the moist dirt before immediately trying to get to her feet, not able to appreciate the little details of the game like that there was still dirt clinging to her pants as she glanced after a very familiar looking form. "Isn't that..." It sure was. There was Chewie, happily treading water and...biting the water? Oh fish, that made sense. But where Chewie was, so also was...

But she didn't have time to finish that thought as the turtle finally freed it's head from the where the bear cub had wedged it into the ground. Taking advantage of it's confusion, Samriel swung Dawnbreaker like a one-handed golf club with a satisfied smile. "C'mon Snappy, haven't you heard the joke about the Monkey, the Bear and the Turtle by the lake?" Nodding upwards at the player and his odd companion in the tree branches before nodding back at the lake towards Chewie. When she did, the blonde finally noticed the towering redhead leaning on his axe. Jeez he certainly was everywhere, wasn't he? Samriel raised her hammer politely in greeting before refocusing on her 'opponent' who was getting increasingly agitated the more it's health bar was chipped down. Again it struck out it's neck with a surprising quickness but once again Samriel was prepared and braced her shield arm to take the hit, only ending in more pain for Mr. Snappy.

Chewie splashed around in the shallows of the lake where his feet just barely reached the bottom. Every so often his head would disappear under the water to snap at a fish, but so far there had been no luck in catching one. The cub was growing more and more frustrated with his efforts. Magda could catch them, and she didn't even have any fur. Or claws. Or the right kind of teeth. If she could do it than so could he. There had to be some kind of secret to this magic practice of fish catching, and Chewie was determined to figure it out. Again and again he tried until, at last, his jaws snapped shut on the tail of a fish.

Slowly, the bear backed out of the lake, dragging his prize and being none too careful about where he stepped as he hauled out his catch. First one back paw landed on the turtle's head, driving it into the ground. Then the second followed it, pushing the turtle's head still further into the sand. Then both front paws until the turtle's head had all but disappeared into the sand as Chewie continued to drag his delicious prize up onto the bank with the clear intent of devouring it.
