[F3-SP] Imprisoned <<Escape>>

Recommended Posts

Another day in Aincrad. Richard has just finished his breakfast, as well as Woofles finishing up his small steak. He was readied to set out for a new adventure to the ninth floor. Some information told him about a boss reside in the center of a volcano. One that would be difficult to defeat, but yield a huge reward. However, a volcanic cavern is the least thing that the brunette wanted to explore. One dip into the magma and he's a goner. No matter what, Richard needed to be extremely careful. However, he'd have to face something else different that what he had planned ahead of him. While traversing on the trodden dirt trail to Delilah Village, Richard had a feeling he's being watched by something. Before he could react, his vision suddenly blacked to darkness. He couldn't see anything, even his HUD bar. Not long after, the brunette's body became rigid. It's almost like his body is influenced by the Paralysis effect. Richard couldn't feel anything, and it didn't take long until he fazed out of consciousness.

Waking up in what seemed like a dungeon cell, Richard vision slowly came back to him. His surrounding slowly became clear, as it took a moment for him to realized his current situation. Woofles was resting next to him, slowly waking up as it stretched its small fluffy body. It seemed like he was captured, and was put inside a jail cell.

Getting up from the ground, Richard found himself being shackled to the wall by a pair of rusted chains. His equipment were taken away from him, and beside that, even his normal clothing as well. The chain seemed old and weak enough, so with a strong pull, the Warrior pulled his hands free from the bound. The sudden loud noise made little Woofles jumped a little; the little wolf-cub scuttled closer around his master's leg, curious of the strange place he found himself in. "Alright... now what have we here." Richard spoke aloud, scanning the room. The dungeon design seemed like an old medieval dungeon, with other jail cells lined against the wall, all emptied but his.

Peering past the hallway, Richard could see what seemed like storage room. There's a singular chest, where he could only assume they keep his gears at. If he could run to that room, he could reclaim his equipment, and give these bastard a good lesson. If only he could.

Inspecting the lock mechanism, Richard could see the lock is just as fragile as the chain that binds him. Now, if he could try and pry this lock open without alerting any guards, that would be wonderful. "You never know if you never try." Richard shrugged, as he fumbled over the lock mechanism. While trying to pry the lock open, the Warrior heard a small click. Thinking it was successful, he was disappointed when the reality was the lock got tightened. Letting out a small sigh, Richard stepped back. "Alright... Going out in a peaceful manner is not an option I see." Thinking for a while, he scanned the area around him once again. Still void of people, not even guards. "Well... it's now or never." He thought, as the brunette took a fighting stance, focused on the lock of the door.

"The hard way it is." Richard told himself, striking his fighting pose. The gate was rusty, and the hinges seemed loose enough. Maybe with a good punch, he can break it through. Put all his might into a swift yet devastating kick, the Silver Warrior lunged forward, unleashed the attack onto the rusted gate. The hinges shattered as the gate swung open, dangling from the ground by the lock holding two pieces together.

Once the brunette had freed himself from the jail cell, reclaiming his equipment back wasn't a difficult task, when no one was watching. Now, the main task's at hand, to search around in this god forsaken labyrinth for a way out.

Just as he geared up, Richard could hear footsteps of soldiers running toward his way. The two guards took stance, cornering Richard inside the armory room. Seeing no way out, Richard was force to return fire. Just as the two guard got ready, the Silver Warrior leaped forward. His Sword Art charged to full. Lunged straight into the two Guard with their weapon brandished, the <<Tornado Kick>> Sword Art sweep through the two guards with ease. Each target snapped at the attack, flung backward a distance, before ruptured to million of particles like any other monsters, or player.

"Easy enough." Richard let out a sigh, brushing his hands. "Alright, it's time to get out of here." Richard clapped his hand together, readied for his escape. However, he's still at a lost. There's no possible way to tell where he's at, or anything that would indicate an exit. His map wouldn't work under these condition, so all he had left, is his hunch guiding the way.

Peeking over the corner, Richard saw nothing but two rows of torches mounted upon each wall. The lights illuminate the path way, and water dripping echoed through the hall. The Silver Warrior solemnly walked through the hall, looking for any hint of a sound or anything that might warn him about incoming thread. His step where light, so he wouldn't make too much sound. The ambient light looming over him and his faithful companion.

The place was like a maze. Without a map or any signal for navigation, Richard is treading on blind territory. Using the only trick he knows, the brunette traced along the wall to the left. If it leads him to a dead-end, he can trace the wall back to the previous turn and take a different approach.

Just as Richard peeked over the corner, Woofles let out a loud bark. The sound startled the brunette, as he quickly turned around. Woofles was barking at a hallway, his hair standing up-straight. "Crap... If he keeps on going, he's going to reveal our location!" Richard grunted, as he lunged forward and quickly grab Woofles. His hand placed over the little pupper's snout, stopped him from barking. That was when he heard footsteps.

Quickly searching around, the brunette saw a crack in the wall. It's big enough for both to fit, if they really squeezed themselves in there. With Woofles in his lap, Richard scuttled into the small crevice on the wall. He could hear the footsteps getting louder. Stroking his fur, the Warrior hoped that would calm the little knacker down before he get too aggressive and review their hiding spot.

Hiding within the small, cramped space, Richard could hear what sounded like two guards walking along the hallway. They didn't seem to know where he is, and the longer he stay hidden, the further the two guards get away from him. Woofles was quivering, readied to leap out and engage combat. However, his master held him back, and soothed him down

Until there's no more footsteps, the two slowly made their way out of the small little space they have to fit into. Woofles goes first, and Richard soon followed. They dodged a bullet, but the Warrior knows, it will be eventually inevitable to engage in combat. He must be ready then.

Once the area is clear, and the guards has made their way out, Richard and Woofles got out of the hiding spot. Stretching his arms and hip, the brunette resumed his attention to the little trouble maker that attract the attention of the two guards. Scolded by his master, Woofles whimpered. His tail and ears dropped to and curled to his body, his body pulled back. Richard could only be mad at him for so long. Alas, reached down and placed little Woofles into his hand with a gentle caring hold, the Silver Warrior placed the little wolf onto his shoulder.

Now, the only thing left is to find a way out of this underground labyrinth. All the passage looks the same as one another. Finding a way out is next to impossible. Not only that, now, he knows that guard are patrolling around the area, and encountering one means he'll have to continuously fight his way out. The only thing he could do is push forward.

  • 2 weeks later...

Roaming through the empty hallway, Richard took a left turn. To his surprise, he found himself in a rather large room. The room was filled with tables and benches. This is where the guards reside to refill their stomach with food. Luckily, none of the guard are present at the moment. Maybe it's worth to look through the area to find any clue or something that would tell Richard where he are, or even a map laying around, telling the layout of the entire establishment.

Rummaging through the kitchen area, Richard was quite disappointed that there're no cooking ingredients available for him to grab. He shouldn't expect that level of detail however, considering this place represent a very old dungeon, and the fact that it's still a game. Turning back to the main area, the brunette took a scan around the walls. There're not much decoration, except for a few withered banners, and wall mount torches that seemingly burning without end.

Not to be discouraged by the emptiness of the area, Richard pushed on, heading to a different path. Walking down the same empty hallways, Richard quietly listen to the ambient surrounding. The brunette followed the old maze solving strategy, on taking only left turns, so when the path leads to the dead end, he only have to turn right to backtrack himself to the previous location. However, each path seemingly lead to no where. A wrong turn bring him right back to where he started, and there's no way to mark the path he had chosen, making navigation all the more difficult. It had started to became a hassle to even move anywhere without returning to where he had started.

Taken one wrong turn. Richard was sent back to the kitchen room he had just entered. Frustrated by the fact that he had made all those progress for nothing, the Warrior slammed his hand down onto one of the wooden table hard. That was when his attention was directed to Woofles. The little wolf-cub was standing in a fighting pose, his fang shown, as if readied to pounce forward to attack anyone. The brunette quickly dashed toward his little pet wolf, grabbed him then dash for the furthest table at the corner of the room and hide.
