[F1-PP] <<The First Few Lessons are Free>> (Eschaton)

Recommended Posts

Inaba walked through the town of beginnings along with his newest party member that went by the screen name of Eschaton. The two were on their way to the outer edges of the town looking for some materials for a someone named Zakariah. He had met Eschaton on their first day of being stuck within Aincrad. The brown haired man he knew little about however, Inaba had no real plans of searching for the person out and had only ran into him on a lucky accident. The two after some hellos and how do you dos had found that they shared a quest. Inaba had offered to group up and complete the quest at the same time since they were heading the same way anyways. "Shouldn't be too long before we reach the town's exit." Inaba said in an attempt to make some small talk to make their walk go faster.

The mission they'd taken together had been more than out of more than just mutual interest. At least, that was the case with Eschaton. Tutorials were usually boring, and there were better ways of obtaining gold and XP. But opportunities to make friends? Those were too rare to pass up, even for a streamer like him. And with triumphant blare of the 'quest start' music dooting on his HUD as they walked out nearer to the town's outskirts, Eschaton couldn't help but let out a whoop of joy. Or was it excitement? In either case, it was nice to hear amidst the pain and suffering of SAO"Alright!" he cheered, summoning enthusiasm their party desperately needed. His companion seemed like more of a levelheaded introvert than anything. "Let's just not find monsters too soon, bucko. I wanna... Yknow, live."

Although he offered that statement with a smile, there was a twinge of sadness beneath it all. No one should have to be exposed to this. Eschaton wouldn't wish this fear- No, confusion on anyone. Still, if they were going to suffer, he might as well try and shield himself from the worst of the emotional blows.

Besides, they weren't going to die. Not today, at least. Their quest was too simple: Collecting a few herbs or whatnot, and then making potions. Healing, collecting, and a nice walk all in one, right? With luck, they'd find no monsters during their journey. In fact, he was relying on it. That iron spear of his swung onto his shoulder wasn't meant for quickdraws. Inaba, on the other hand... He seemed quick. Quick enough, anyways. Taking a glance at him, Eschaton cleared his throat, and tried rekindling the conversation. "Anyways, we're teammates now. Any ideas to join a guild? I think we could afford to stick together."
