[PP-NK-F11] Lost in the Labyrinth

She had seen plenty of Beat's high-damage attacks up to this point, the majority of them outdoing her own. But as their target was launched across the room with his explosive attack, Teion stared at the impression the queen's body had made against the wall in disbelief. The other party members reacted accordingly, and the dungeon's boss was quick to regain her composure as she charged towards the tank.

"Tch, what level did you say you were again?" She asked, a hint of jealousy in a voice that was just loud enough to be heard by the noirette beside her. Shield's call reached her ears, and without waiting for an answer from the martial artist, she gave the ivory handle of her axe a quick twirl and turned her attention back to the queen.

With an approach not unlike the first, Teion dashed towards the creatures flank, this time hoisting the heavy weapon over her shoulder before it came down with the same glowing steel. The empowered attack sliced through the carapace with ease, dropping her health bar dangerously low. Teion's jaw only clenched, and she let out a muffled scowl as she was unable to finish the creature off.

Beat chuckled as he leaped from behind Teion's flank as he had done before and charged both of his hands with another sword art he was fairly found of, but one that would help him conserve energy should he need it later, "Too high for this boss, that's for damn su-" Beat was cut off as he Red Queen's head snapped to look at him and sent the martial artist flying across the throne room with a swift backhand. 

"Had make me look like a fool didn't you? You're gonna pay for ruining my moment..." Beat said as he picked himself up off of the ground and glared at the now proud looking insect. The attack had not inflicted any damage, but it had certainly disoriented the player. 

"Alright Teion, guess that final hit is all yours. Make it count!" Beat shouted, deciding to keep things positive and cheer on his party members with enthusiasm.

Soredell watches once again as everyone in the party unleashes another salvo of attacks against the Red Queen, but to his shock, Beat's attack fails to hit, leaving the Red Queen with not only a sliver of health left, but an open guard. This was his chance, this was one opportunity he would not pass up. "Alright Teion, guess that final hit is all yours. Make it count!" Defying Beat's words, he rushes forward, his katana in his hands, towards the Red Queen, completely disregarding his own safety. "She's mine!".

Time seems to slow down around Soredell, his focus on nothing but the Red Queen. She attempts to strike at Soredell but her attack completely misses. Jumping up, he activates his tried and true sword art Gen Getsu, and slashes at the queen's head. He lands with a roll, before muttering "Death to the queen." as he sheaths his katana, the queen's head plummeting to the ground, pixelated blood streaming from the stump for a moment, before exploding into a cloud of pixels, the Red Queen now dead.

It's at this moment that the adrenaline finally subsides, and Soredell realizes what he just did. "I... I got a kill. I GOT A KILL!" he cheers. He doesn't care how loud he is, or even the loot he gets, he's just too happy celebrating this moment to care.

Shield gave Soredell a cuff on the shoulder and a thumbs up, walking past him to the throne that the queen had sat upon. Behind it, he found a chest containing what he hoped to be the dungeon's loot. He quickly swapped in his loot finding gear to see if it could boost the odds to give them a little extra. He replaced his armor and axe with two small hoop earrings before finally tapping the lock of the chest

He let out a low whistle as he went over the rewards. It wasn't exactly going to make anyone an instant millionaire, but it was about as much money as they could have hoped to see out of a single dungeon chest. With the loot claimed, a stone wall at the back of the chamber slid open, revealing a stairway up, and on the top faces of the steps, there was a bright light. Sunlight.

"Looks like we have our way out," he whooped, standing up. "Let's get out of here!"
