Now, with the objective given by Beatbox in mind, Husky began scanning the place. For a while, the place looked desolated and empty, as if it's nothing more than a structure used to decorated the floor, adding ascetic to the theme. However, when standing before of the podium, with his view cascaded to the center of the room, the brunette could see a glimpse of light shone from under the stone table. 

"Could it be..." Husky thought for a moment. Reaching his hand out to inspect, he was surprised that the stone table moved, revealing a stairwell down to the lower level. Taking a step back, as the way down to the next area was discovered accidentally. "Guys! Look over here!" Husky called out for his team to come. The stairwell lead down to what seemed like a passage, big enough for all four. Maybe this is the way down to the boss room.

Shield joined the others, peering down the passageway that led underground below the chapel. He looked around at the others before stepping forward, taking point as the group's defender. The staircase got considerably darker before it began to lighten on the other end, and even once the light began to return, it returned in a much more sinister hue. As the room slid into view through the door frame, the dancing light was a sickly blue, either from some ethereal source or from tainted candles, or as ended up being the case, both.

There, standing outside of a ring of candles, there loomed two tall figures in dark robes. Ram's horns protruded from holes in the hoods, and their outstretched hands, skeletal and frail looking, emitted a light that surrounded the winged figure that lay in the ritual circle. The angel, Tagas, lay there writhing, his back arched and his head tilted so far back in painful contortion that it looked as if his spine had broken to allow such movement.

With a nod, Shield held up his axe, lowering the Manticore Mask to hide his features before charging into the room, swinging his axe at the nearest figure. Both of the mage knights, as their creature tags so named them, leaped back, holding out their hands towards the intruders. Fiery jets spurted from their palms, but either out of surprise or inability, their attacks did not find purchase, fizzling after only a momentary spurt.

A couple of things had happened as time had passed by: Teion had tried to look for something, what she was looking for was beyond Beatbox's knowledge, but he could only assume that she was trying to find a dungeon, and heck, he wouldn't blame her... he would have too since Shield and Husky weren't giving them any sort of direction on what is going on. Then out of nowhere Husky had stopped the two mage knights, then Shield had joined the Frey with a missed attack, Beatbox had chuckled as he unsheathed his sword stating "I got this Shield, sit back." he had said as he had charged up a sword art and entwining it with Charge and Bullrush, and with one swift movement and one swift AoE combination, both mage knights had bit the dust, killing them where they stood. "Well, that wasn't anything special. Here comes the man of the hour. Don't kill him, let him go fully corrupt." he had said as he saw Tagas move swifty towards the party.

The violet-haired woman gave a glance over her shoulder as they party made their way down the hidden passageway beneath the chapel, taking it upon herself to watch for any trouble that may appear behind them. As their meager light source grew dimmer Teion felt her chest tighten slightly along with the grip around her weapon. Thankfully the group would not be plunged into complete darkness, but it wasn't long before they initiated their first combat. Teion could see little through the narrow stairwell, stepping into what seemed to be a ritual chamber just before Beatbox would draw his sword and make quick work of the undead mages that had stood before them.

A slight grimace took over her expression at the sight of the fallen angel. Tagas, though clearly a quest NPC and soon-to-be monster, looked to be in an incredible deal of pain that made it difficult to ignore. Teion held her position after the blonde's instruction, unsure of when she would need to attack, but waiting patiently for a signal to be given.

The woman took a couple of slow steps back to give the party some room to breathe. As the heel of her boot made contact with the stone floor, a circular set of engraved runes no larger than a dinner plate began to illuminate an eerie turquoise at her intrusion. One of many magical traps laid out on the chamber's floor, the runes immediately conjured a set of ethereal chains that latched themselves around the woman's ankle. Teion failed to stifle a gasp, startled by the reaction as she looked down and tried in vain to pull herself free, quickly deciding to save her energy after the chains refused to loosen themselves. "Watch where you step." She called out a warning to the rest of the party. Though the ghostly chains caused her no damage, the blacksmith would be left immobilized until she could find a way to break them without slashing her own limb off.

Husky had not been fond with the idea of an effortless battle. All he ever did was following instruction given by the more experienced players, staying behind Shield and let him tank. The fight had barely even started between them and the two hooded figures; Beatbox only needed a single attack to bring all of them down. For him, taking these tough quests trained his patients, skills and persistence by pushing himself to the limit. But, letting someone else doing all the work while you sat back and watch, that's never his real goal. Letting out a brief sigh, Husky scuttled along with the team. It's too late to back off now, and if anything, at least he know the odds of him losing his life today would be very slim. 

Following the group to the main chamber where the boss reside, it was not what the brunette had expected. Instead of getting greeted by a dastardly monster, before him was an angel, chained to its throne while two dark mages casting their corruption spell upon him. A tainted purple shroud surrounded Targas, as it corrupted gleaming eyes laid upon the players walking into the room. Suddenly, Husky had an urge to charge into the battle immediately to do something about the situation. His instinct is roaring for him to dash in and help the angel, despite it being only an AI with no actual feeling. No, that must not be it! Time after time, Husky was proven how wrong of him to think that.

However, just before the party get to do anything, Teion had triggered a snare trap. The trap deal no damage, but it got her bound to one place. Husky was just far enough to avoid getting caught. Standing in between his team and the boss, his eyes narrowed. He got into a fighting stance, his leg jerked a little back. Taking in a slow deep breath, Husky was just about to charge in

With a flash of its eyes, Tagas let out a howling call to arms and charged, spreading its wings wide as it closed the gap to Shield in an instant. Shield's axe met with the angel's blade midair and he deflected the blow away from him. Despite successfully defending himself, he could feel the impact in his arms and shoulders. Tagas was not to be trifled with.

Out of the corner of his eyes, Shield saw Husky preparing himself to strike. The older player was wary, but overall, there was nothing to fear just yet. The mask that he wore put him more in the enemy's focus than anyone else on the field. This fight would be a balancing act, but as long as he stayed at the ready and preempted the angel's attacks, the party should be safe.

"Watch yourself, Husky," Shield warned quietly out of the side of his mouth. "I've got its attention now, so you're not in any danger, but the brokers say the best spoils come from waiting for it to attack a few times first. Attack if you must. Just don't kill it. This is going to be a group effort."

Shield's tone was even, but his dark brown eyes were focused, only flickering over to Husky on occasion in between tracking the movements of the enraged and quickly corrupting angel.

Beatbox had looked back to Husky in which obviously had looked almost distressed... however... for no real good reason, there was no danger for him now that we have a tank: he did indeed forgot to mention that the boss does not have an AoE, but even then the amount of damage he does wouldn't equal death for him... he assumed, looking at his HP bar he could only assume that he could take a hit from Tagas if it ever came to that point. In which it shouldn't, Beatbox had looked back to Tagas and charged up another sword art entwined with his Charge and Bullrush and moved forward swiftly to strike against the boss dealing a great amount towards its initial HP bar bringing it down to below half its original HP. His job was done now, now... he must wait for the fully corrupted.

Teion gave one final pull of her leg, trying to lift her foot from the floor. As she thought, the ethereal chains wouldn't budge. She glanced around the room at the other party members--Shield wasn't allowed much time before Tagas rushed at him, luckily not taking any damage from the angel's attack. She was sure the brunette could hold his own, but she still hoped the monster's attack stats weren't so high that his attacks would be taking chunks out of his health bar. Meanwhile, Husky appeared on edge and ready to attack himself, holding steady before doing so. Beatbox, on the other hand, rushed forward with his blade, taking out just over half the creature's health with a series of strikes.

The woman frowned. With their massive difference in level, the party's stats were all over the place. It didn't have her doubting their ability to complete the quest, but it still felt odd from a gaming perspective. The violet-haired woman looked down to the floor now, eyebrows furrowing in irritation at the runic trap holding her in place. Moving carefully, Teion flipped her weapon upside-down and lowered the blade towards the ground. She slowly slid the point of her scythe between one of the chains and her ankle. She wasn't sure if is was possible to cut herself with her own weapon, but she wasn't eager to find out. After some hesitant pulling and adjusting, the chains finally gave way to the blade, shattering into shards of light while the runes etched into the stone floor faded back to darkness.

Hearing Shield warning after Tagas was set free, Husky took a moment of hesitation. In that moment, Beatbox has leaped forward before him and attack. The blond haired swordsman slashed at the corrupted angel with his weapon, as the blade glowed bright with an illuminating aura. Husky could see the health of the boss dropped more than half, switching to yellow in a single strike. It's indeed no doubt that Beatbox is a frontliner. He seemed way above Husky's league. If he's partaking this quest, is it such a good idea for him to take this quest on alone as he intended to?

Before throwing himself into the fray, Husky could hear a sound of something shattered behind him. Fearing that something might had happened to his comrade who was caught up in a snare trap behind him, Husky took a glance back. He was relieved that Teion was still in one piece, and even managed to break the trap that binds her in place. Returned his attention to the boss at hand, Husky lunged forward.

He only got a split moment to decided which sword art to use. He would have use the strongest newest sword art he had; however, since he had just learned the skill, the brunette hasn't had any time to measure how much damage it would deal. Since a better reward would be yielded if the boss reached it second state, Husky couldn't be so reckless, especially when the others also want the better reward. The pair of gauntlets glowed with a fiery red light. Husky threw himself at, his hand extended forward. His punches connected at many crucial weak points. The Tagas dropped its blade to the floor beneath. Pulling his hand back, Husky only walked backward slowly. The boss should be stunned, so he shouldn't have any worries about it harming anyone. He could only hope that the time he bought would contribute to the whole team.

Shield was sure that another attempt to strike him was inbound, but before the unholy angel could make the attempt, it froze, sword still raised. It wasn't that he was concerned with the possibility of taking a few hits, but the brokers he had spoken to made it a point that the damage was no joke, so an extra round to prepare was not unwelcome.

In the brief reprieve, he shot a glance over to Teion who had seemingly just freed herself. He nodded, relieved to see that the remaining complication had been removed. He thought about calling out to check that she was alright, but knowing the little that he knew about the woman, she would likely be frustrated enough to not take the question in good spirits, so he let it be. Besides, her stats in the party HUD showed her still in peak condition.

The other members of his party, or at least those who had the freedom to act, had struck solid blows. Although the mask was definitely doing its job of taunting the foe, drawing his ire despite the attacks by the other players, it still seemed wisest to use the lull in order to secure the matter, making sure that even if someone managed a lucky critical hit and Shield fell down on the job, that nobody else would be in danger. He pulled in air, moving so that he was directly in the stunned angel's face before hurling his voice full force.

"You've got very little time left on your timer before we pull out the stops!" he bellowed, the hair that hung from the back of Tagas' helmet whipping about in the force of his wind. "Enjoy the little time you have left!"

Shield as protective as he always is and with his massive bulk, continues to keep howling away keeping the attention of Tagas placed upon him, Beatbox had looked back to Teion questioning why she hasn't been attacking, his first priority was indeed Teion, but he looked back to Tagas and needed to continue fighting the boss before it becomes a real problem, and before he could move forward to unleash his sword art, it had gotten fully black and corrupted. Beatbox had shook for a moment, but he had moved forward swiftly and struck it with a little bit of HP. His mitigation and HP is lookin' like its going to be a little bit of an issue if he can't keep up with his damage. He had looked back to Teion and jumped back towards her "I've noticed that you haven't been attacking, is everything okay?" he said with a bit of concern but determination to at least keep her safe.

The battle was now in full swing. The fallen angel looked as though the mage's spells had taken him over completely--pupils glowing brightly while his expression contorted into a rage-filled snarl. Teion gave a small nod to herself, recognizing the 'corruption' that had been discussed and determining she should begin to attack. Just before she had the opportunity, Beatbox's voice caught her attention. The woman looked over to him and frowned slightly, confused by his question. True, the other damage-dealers had been striking Tagas, but she didn't want to compromise their plan of waiting until his stats had increased. Besides, she would've had a bit of trouble reaching the target with her axe the way her foot had been bound to the floor. She considered for a brief moment explaining all of this, but quickly decided against it.

"Yeah, I'm fine." She simply answered his question while taking a grip of her scythe. The woman took the opportunity to strike, circling around to close the distance between herself and the boss. Teion raised her blade beside her, bringing it around in a sweeping motion to cleave the monster. Tagas' reaction nearly caused the blacksmith to jump with surprise. The angel swiftly extended an arm in Teion's direction. Before the woman could pull back on her swing, her scythe froze in place. Tagas' grip around the shoulder of her weapon tightened while Teion felt a chill run down her spine.

Husky stood behind Shield, watching as the spell began completely tainted the Fallen Angel. His body emitted a strong dark-purple aura. Under the helmet, its eyes glowed red. The Angel brandished its sword, its look gleamed with murderous intent. Husky felt a shudder down his body, as the health bar of the boss suddenly refilled to full. A new boss fight emerge, and this time, the boss would be much more challenging than the previous. Husky take a damage crystal from his inventory, before shattering the crystal block on his hand, buffing himself with extra damage.

Trusting Shield in keeping the boss attention, Husky readied his stance, getting readied to strike at the perfect moment. However, when Teion stepped forward, and her attack was stopped by Tagas, Husky saw his chance. Capitalizing on the opened window the monster created when it catch the scythe coming toward it way. Husky's gauntlet busted in a bright fiery red light. His attack struck with all force. The blast was strong enough to blew the Targas back, forcing it to let go of Teion's scythe.

As the now fallen angel soaked the damage from his comrades, the demonic features of Shield's mask continued to taunt the dark being. Tagas opened his mouth and charged the tank, but Shield had been waiting. He brought up his axe and swept downward, using the bottom hooked curve to pull the sword off of its course and out of the way. he had managed to deflect the worst of the damage, but he could still feel the shockwave of the unholy attack course through his arm.

He held fast, as did the majority of his health bar. The dark eyes that peered out from beneath his mat of unkempt brown hair held those of the angel as his axe's lower curve tied up. Tagas forcibly withdrew his weapon with much effort, the sound of scraping of metal piercing the air before the enraged field boss dropped back to regoup for its next attack. The piercing red eyes bored into Shield's brown ones, not straying for an instant towards the other players. 

Good. Keep looking at me, tough guy. Don't worry about the ones who are killing you.

Well... at least Teion is okay, she had at least given an attempt in attacking the boss in which he was proud of her for, he looked back to Teion as it was his turn to strike against the boss and said to her "Good job you did your best, even if you missed I know that you at least tried." he flashed her a smile then went back into attacking the main boss of the hour, and unfortunately terribly missing. With a sigh he had said to himself with a whisper "Well... I guess I am not good at the moment in this boss." he looked back to Teion and said out to her "Sorry for the poor display, but I at least tried. It's your turn now, hit em really hard for me." he chuckled before looking back to Tagas and then back to Shield and Husky, it was merely a matter of time before this boss would be defeated.

Teion rolled her shoulders, glancing towards Tagas while Beatbox tried to encourage her. The woman's bottom lip twitched into a slight frown as she gave the handle of her scythe a quick turn. Gripping the weapon firmly, Teion remained silent, simply giving the blonde swordsman a small nod to acknowledge his words.

She forced a half-smile as Beatbox missed his next attack and offered her even more words of encouragement. 'He's oddly comfortable with small talk in the middle of a fight.' She thought, curious if that was just his personality, his ability as a frontliner, or a combination of both. Trying to focus her attention back on the fight, Teion needed to carry her own weight. She hadn't done a single point of damage to the boss, and the "waiting period" was long over. Gripping her scythe tightly, the edge of the blade began to shine a bright sky blue. The woman moved quickly, slipping into the fray as her sword art activated and Cardinal began to take over her movements. With a barrage of slashes against the angel's flesh, her damage broke through his passive mitigation and took a small chunk out of his health bar.

While Husky didn't pay mind too much about Beatbox performance, he find it odd in the frontliner's carefree attitude toward the fight, as if he could care any less about the fight. Anyhow, Husky only suppose that Beatbox have the right to do so. The tank player of the team has yet to loose any health, and only a quarter of the Tagas's heath bar remains. Returned his attention back to the boss fight, Husky let his sword art charge, while he lunged forward after Teion for another powerful blow. However, this time, when he swung the metal fist toward the corrupted angel, Targas's wings flapped, took itself off the ground for a swift moment. The wind sent a gale of dust toward Husky, temporarily blinded him for a moment. His attack swung passed the angel's foot, as the bright red glowing gauntlet slowly diminished.

With most of the other players having had less than ideal attempts, Shield made up his mind to at least keep the pressure on. He rushed in, swinging his axe in an upward sweep. Tagas grinned at him, his glowing eyes fixing the tank in their gaze. As he followed through with the attack, Tagas shrugged his shoulder, turning its body in midair to slip out of the strike's path.

Cheeky son of a gun.

With a sweep of his broad wings, The fallen angel propelled itself towards the high ceiling. Once the corrupted enemy was out of reach, he threw back his head, clenching his fists and focusing its efforts internally. With a shout of concentrated effort, its health bar slowly began to replenish, not a lot, but enough to put it nearer to the half way point on its gauge.

"Well, that went well," Shield groused, frowning up at the angel who was holding himself aloft with strokes of his powerful wings.

Well... this boss could not be going anymore swimmingly, so far no AoE's have gone off, and Teion and Husky is safe, along with Shield taking the damage, sure... Husky seemed to be doing the same amount of damage as he was... but that was only because he was using a one handed weapon, he's trying to make it work... hopefully he could score something to make his build a force to be reckoned with. Beabox shrugged it off, he was not jealous nor did he really mind about it. He looked upon the boss with a grin as he moved forward to fight against it once more. He had gotten a critical hit and hit his sword slashes and punches from Meteor Break with great precision and dealt a little more damage than normal. He looked back to Teion and leaped back "Alright Tei, switch with me." then gave her a wink and a smile.

Teion had backed off from her last attack, scanning the battleground and determining if she needed to reposition herself for the next rotation. Tagas' wings threw a gust of wind towards the party, causing the violet-haired woman to bring up an arm and brace herself against it. She growled lightly under her breath as her gripped her weapon again, glaring up at the angel. Her eyes darted around, looking for something that would give her an advantage against the boss.

When the blonde called out to her again, Teion's concentration faltered. She looked over to the swordsman, freezing up for a moment before giving him a nod. She ran up to enter the fray, using a small boulder to boost herself higher as she raised her scythe above her head. "Get back down here!" She growled, bringing the blade down into Tagas' shoulder. The tip dug into his flesh,  bright red pixels materializing around the wound. As gravity took hold of Teion and her grip held strong, Tagas was forced to come crashing down to the cavern floor.
