[OP-F1] Travel Through Purgatory.

Christina slowly woke from her sleep, her hair pointing at all ends at odd angles and clumps. She slowly yawned and stretched, surprised that she was awake."Morning already?" She yawned again, using a brush on her hair then quickly put it back into her inventory. Christina then switched her night clothes to her regular attire. As she left her inn room, she noticed a quest alert NPC next her door, she went up to him."Oh please will you help me? My sons ghost still lingers here but I don't know where? Will you help me?" a quest alert message that appeared on her screen."Oh thank you child!" The old man smiled and walked away.

"Now to find someone to join me." She muttered and slowly walked toward the town's square.

[Miaki 0]

Miaki sat at a table on the ground floor of the inn eating a plate of eggs, bacon, and toast. His new falcon <> pecked away at the bacon until Miaki heard the inn keeper shout. "No pets or familiars!" Miaki gave a small glare. "Better wait for me outside bud." Silverwing flew out a open window leaving Miaki to finish his meal. When he was done, he put on his fedora and walked outside heading for the town square.

Zelrius was on the first floor wandering about aimlessly. All monsters on this floor were easily dispatched. Most were one-hit kills and the others were 2-3 if they were lucky. Even Miles, Zelrius' wolf, could kill any monster here with little to no effort. The main reason he was here was actually for that reason. Everyone, and everything, were far too weak to do any real harm to him on this floor. Due to this he spent a lot of time here pissing people off by kill stealing or bringing them down to red health and then leaving. This is how the High Level, Zelrius, Kept busy and entertained.

Without actually watching where I was going. I, by accident, ran into a stranger when making my way toward the town square. "Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" I apologise. Embarrassed like. I quickly go to pick up my stuff that I dropped, a leather sheath." Wow am I clumsy or what." I say and mumble to myself, taking soggy notice of the pretty cool falcon.

Miaki started to help the woman he bumped into. "Oh let me help.It's not a problem. I probably should've been watching where I was going. I had my head in the clouds I suppose you could say." Silverwing land on the ground pecking at the cobblestone ground and looking between the two players. After gathering the girl's things, Miaki stood up. "Anyway, I'm Miaki."

I smile slightly and look at the man in-front of me."I'm Christina, and who is this amazing bird?" I smile again and watch the Falcon fly around and land on Miaki's shoulder.Hey maybe he could help me on this quest. He's pretty c- My train of thought was cut off by the Falcon making a cawing noise and walk up to me, its eyes staring at me."Hi you." I laugh a little and stick my hand out to pet the bird.

"A pleasure to meet you Christina." He said while removing his hat and bowing. "This here is Silverwing." Miaki said pointing with his fedora before replacing it. "He just became my familiar thanks to a little help from a friend of mine during a visit to the 5th floor."

I stroke its feathers, will it nudges my hand and I smile."Sliver Winger, cool name. Pleasure to meet you too Miaki. I was wondering if you would possibly like to join me on a quest? I haven't found any one who is willing and you seem nice." I say with a smile and look at Miaki.I think he could be a great friend and even a better b- Gosh Christina stop thinking about that its just a quest. I think to myself and mentally face palm, forming a weird look on my behind my long hair, that's getting messy again.

Miaki thought about the idea for a second, messaging his lower jaw in thought. Looking at Silverwing he said. "Well what do you think buddy? Should we party up with our new friend here?" Silverwing tilted his head to the side looking back at Miaki and made a small squawked. "I think that means a yes." Holding his two forefingers in the air, Miaki opened his GUI menu and sent Christina a party invite. "So what kind of quest do you have in mind?"

I smile happily and accept the party invite."Okay, so this quest is sort of like a search and rescue but for a ghost. We have to travel some mountains to find him, apparently its really easy, just find him and the quest is done! But its pretty hard to find him though." I say, finishing and looking up at Miaki as he looks at me with his (blue im guessing) eyes. I blush slightly out of habit and I look down at Silverwing.

Miaki smiled. "That won't be too difficult at all then. This entire floor is pretty much mapped out and not too difficult to navigate. So mountains..." Miaki opened up his display of the first floor map and highlighted a small range of mountains in the northwestern part of the floor. "Since the first floor is generally flat compared to the second one there is only one set of mountains here and they aren't even that difficult to climb at all. The only thing is that it is quite a walk to get there. I hope you packed your walking shoes." He said with a smile.

I smile back, liking his smile a-lot."Good, I was hoping to get somewhat easy XP today, not in the mood for some pretty hard quests." I say and listen to Miaki talk.Okay, I like this guy a-lot, good friends maybe but.... My thoughts slowly trail off."Okay ,well I barely have any of this floor mapped out so you lead the way kind sir, and I do in fact have walking shoes." I say and smile, holding up a pair of shoes.

Miaki laughed when Christina showed her shoes. "Well here let's fix this now. Allow me to update your map." Miaki selected <> and the name <>. "There. Now you have the most recent map data for this floor." He gestured with his arm towards the city's gates. "Shall we be off." He said starting to walk towards the gates.

Ugh, I like his laugh too CHRISTINA GOD DANGIT FOCUS! I think to myself, annoyed but happy that I am thinking about him and this quest."Why thank you for this here map data." I say, flashing a smile as I accept the map data."I would love to be going." and with that, they were off.

They made small talk while walking out of <> and made their way along a dirt road. "So Christina. Mind telling me about yourself? What you like. What you don't like. That kind of stuff, you know." He stretched his back and shoulders then kept his fingers interlocked behind his head glancing over at her.

I look over and smile, watching him stretch I wanted to scream !You! but I decided against it, it would probably make it awkward."I guess I'm a huge nerd, like on of the biggest gamer girls you'll probably ever meet. I have a pet dog named Bear. i'm single, I love music, reading, writing, soccer, evenings in the moonlight. and Italian food." i practically blurt out, blushing at the single part of what I said.

"Ahhh a lady of the night. I prefer the night compared to the day. Sure most of the monsters out are more aggressive but the night scape out here is beautiful. The fourth floor, which is snowscape and mountainous, has amazing lights at night." He was talking with his hands the whole time and when ended the last bit he did so with his hands exploding. "Wow. It is just so amazing to watch. That is when it isn't storming out." He shivered thinking of some of the times he got caught in a storm. "I'm a bit surprised nobody has nabbed you up around here." He said, eyes shifting away with the last bit.

"Maybe I'll have to go up to the 4th floor, of course I would need someone to keep me company." I say, looking at Miaki. I silently watch him talk with his hands, moving his hands, then he shifted his eyes away."Nabbed me up? What's that suppose to me?" I ask, putting my hands on my hips and pursing my lips slightly, confused.

"Well...." He broke off bringing his hands back to his side. 'Trap. Walked right into that one. Time to try and redirect the topic.' "Well you know. You being single and all. I'm surprised nobody has tried to party up with you before." 'Smooth save dude.' He thought to himself.

"Well.. there's you who decided to party up with me, I guess there is a first time for everything." I reply, blushing and smiling, looking over at Miaki through my hair.I wonder if he is into me..... Christina for F***s sake, hes not into you! I think to myself and silently hit myself in the head mentally."So, why did you all of the sudden just agree to party up with me? I literally just met you when I asked."
