Stryder 0 Posted May 7, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Sky groaned as he walked out of the settlement. Once again, he had dealt with an mother who had lost a kid in the cave. It seemed to be a repeated instance, many mothers seemed to be careless, but he didn't mind. He got payed at the end, and it always made him feel good to see a son or daughter with his or her mother. He sent a message to Abalasster, wondering if he wanted to tag along. Hey @Abalasster, Want to come on a quest? We gotta save an NPC child in a cave and return him or her to its mother. Not to hard. I'm on the second floor just outside the settlement After his message was sent, he sighed, ready to once again do this quest. He knew he could do it, the bat was no problem for him, he could instantly kill it. He knew that most of these quests were no problem for him, but still, they were, BORING... Abalasster 0 Posted May 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Abalasster was sitting in the café that was close to his shop on the First floor. He had been sampling himself some of the coffee that the café was offering. Abalasster always held a special spot in his heart for coffee, especially that of Vanilla and Caramel caliber. The coffee that he was currently sampling was, mediocre, to say the least. It was an odd combination of flavors, including vanilla, strawberry and sugar, and other assortments. The beverage was strangely both too bitter and too sweet. Abalasster was unsatisfied with the selection, however, out of courtesy he continued to drink his beverage. The café was fairly empty. Abalasster was the only patron. The rest were NPC workers. Abalasster didn't complain about the tranquil nature though. He enjoyed quiet. However, things picked up when he received a message. "Hey Abalasster, Want to come on a quest? We gotta save an NPC child in a cave and return him or her to its mother. Not to hard. I'm on the second floor just outside the settlement" read the message. It was from Stryder, a recent friend of his whom he had met whilst hunting mobs. "Hm, interesting" he said as he took another sip from his unsavory beverage. "I don't recall doing this one but I've heard of it. Might as well give it a shot" "I'll be up there shortly" Abalasster messaged back. He grabbed he beverage and made his was to the exit, with his companion Scarab companion, Khepri on his shoulder. After Abalasster exited the shop he walked swiftly towards the warp gate. Abalasster hadn't been to Floor two all but once, when he discovered and tamed his companion. He recalled the place was of Forest terrain and was filled with angry wildlife. In no time he had reached the warp gate and selected Floor 2, and in an instant he was instantly transported to the new floor. Once he landed on the floor, he looked around for Stryder. The floor wasn't too crowded, so it only took a few minutes to spot Stryder about 20 meters away from him. Abalasster stride over to his quest companion "Hey there" Abalasster said with a slight smile. "We ready to go?" Abalasster put his hand on his Rapier, Transcendence, ready to combat the denizens of floor 2...
Stryder 0 Posted May 7, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted May 7, 2017 Sky was punching the air when Abalasster arrived, smiling as he turned to greet the guy he had met while hunting mobs. He didn't know him very well, but he managed to survive this long, and he had a green cursor. Still, Sky didn't know if he could trust him or not, but, this was a chance to find out. "Yeah we are, gave is about an hours journey out of town. Lets go" He said, waving him over as he started to walk towards the dark cave where a little child was waiting. He knew this was going to be easy.... but still, he couldn't help but feel a little worried. Maybe it was because of the person he was with... Maybe it was because he was going back to a dark cave. He didn't know, but he knew that no matter what happened he would be ready for it, he hoped. "Nice Rapier you have, reminds me of a friends" He said, trying to make small talk. Abalasster 0 Posted May 7, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 7, 2017 "Aw thank you" Abalasster said, acknowledging the compliment of his weapon. "It has seen better days though. Yours is quite impressive as well. But anyways, lets get moving". Stryder was the first to start walking towards their destination, and Abalasster followed his companion. He felt slightly unnerved however. He couldn't place his finger on it though. He couldn't decide whether it was the subject matter of the quest, going to save a lone child in a dark cave, or if it was his companion. He didn't seem to personal with him. However, he shook it off. He concluded that both of them were new to each other and this was just to be expected. Abalasster then began running the quest in his head "Alright" he thought to himself. "Gotta go save some lost NPC child from some Bats in this...cave" Abalasster discovered what really offset him when he read that word. Cave. Images flooded back into his head of that hellish experience, where he witnessed members of his raiding team, close friends of his, get cut down one by one. He heard their screams in his head and saw them suffering. "Abalasster!" he heard the voice of Mariska scream. "Mariska!" he whispered to himself. Abalasster then realized that the events that he was envisioning were false. He shook them off, getting his head away from the past and focusing on the present. He and Stryder were still making their way towards the cave. However, the voices inside Abalasster's head didn't cease. He still heard the screams of Mariska, Bishop, Polaris, Eurif, Murifacy, and Regi. Abalasster held tight to his rapier. He knew this cave was going to be hell...
Stryder 0 Posted May 8, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted May 8, 2017 Sky wondered what he meant when he said his was impressive. He didn't have a sword on him, his weapons was his fists, so were his fists nice? Or something else.... He had no idea what he meant, though he decided to just shrug it out of the way as they walked towards the gave, which was nearing eyesight. "Just warning you, in this place we won't see anything easily, its an insanely dark place, so good luck hitting stuff" He says glad he had his charm to increase his accuracy. He looked at the entrance, wondering if they were ready to go in or not, he knew he was... He hoped. He decided to wait for his companions call to head in, after all he had asked him to come, and thus he was the guest. Only polite to let him choose whether or not he actually wanted to go into the dark cave. He wished they didn't have to do this, and while they techincally didn't.... His concious made him... Abalasster 0 Posted May 9, 2017 #6 Share Posted May 9, 2017 Abalasster shivered when Stryder mentioned the caliber of the darkness of the cave. Abalasster was never fond of the dark. He hated that feeling of being in a place where light was limited and he would have to take extreme effort and precaution to even see a few meters in front of him, let alone be able to fight the mobs that surely lie within the hellish cave. Abalasster took a minute to assess the situation "Alright" he said to himself. "It's just you, and an acquaintance, going into a dark, hellish cave filled with giant bats, going to save some stupid kid and bring it back to its mother. Hm, G'wan" Abalasster then gripped his rapier. "Well, I did sign up for this" he thought again to himself. He then moved in front of the cave entrance and looked inside as far as he could see. Images of his past experience with The Cave then flashed in front of him. However, he shook it off. "We'll, you ready to get a'going?" he said as he looked back at Stryder, with not the most confident look on his face. This would be one hell of a ride...
Stryder 0 Posted May 9, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted May 9, 2017 (Due to us having to make 21 posts, want to add in some mobs or just do a bunch of roaming posts?) He nodded, ready to head in. It wasn't going to be hard, go in, kill a bat, come out with a kid. It was literally that simple, he hoped.... Insanely hoped. He took a deap breath, looking over at him with a confident look. He had done this a few times, so he knew how it went. "Don't worry, the bat dies in a single punch, all i gotta do is connect my fist with it and its dead" He said, giving a thumbs up before walking into the cave. It was insanely dark, being barely able to see more then a arm's length in front of yourself. It wasn't to pleasant. Sky wondered if there would be some leather on the ground, Bats lived here after all, who knew? Maybe he might be lucky!!! Though with his terrible sight, he couldn't see anything. "I'm going to remember to get the search and detect skill..." He said, groaning, wishing he had gotten it already. ID# 84192 results: Loot:
Abalasster 0 Posted May 9, 2017 #8 Share Posted May 9, 2017 (We can add in some mobs) Abalasster watched as Stryder entered fourth into the cave. Abalasster smirked awkwardly as he watched his companion enter. "Well, 'ere goes nothing" Abalasster said to himself. He then drew his rapier, in preparation for the worst. He then followed Stryder's footsteps and entered the cave after him. Abalasster wished he didn't however. It didn't take him 15 seconds into the cave that he was utterly surrounded in darkness. He could hardly even see his companion Stryder in front of him. He was mostly using his sense of sound to hear Stryder's footsteps so he could judge where his companion was. Then, out of nowhere, he heard Stryder speak, telling him how he could kill the bats with a single punch, if it landed. This eased Abalasster's tensions slightly. However, he still gripped his rapier tightly, so much so that his fingers ached. Abalasster then heard Stryder groan how he wished he had a Search and Detect skill. Abalasster was silent though. He wasn't thinking about finding materials, he was thinking about the lurking enemies. That was when he heard the screech of some animal come deep from within the cave. Then, he heard another screech break through the silence. Hpwever, this wasn't one of an animal, but that of a young child "Did you hear that?" Abalasster asked hesitantly, as his iron grip tightened on his Rapier...
Stryder 0 Posted May 11, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted May 11, 2017 (Would you like to just fight Trash mobs or fight loot standard? If loot, what level are you) Sky in all honesty couldn't hear or see anything. He wasn't scared of the cave, but right as he had entered something had blocked his ear, sort of like a rock having fell into it. He pulled it out, throwing it into the ground and missing whatever his teammate had said, as well as missing the sounds from whatever was lurking deep within this cavern. "One thing that is beautiful about this game's combat mechanics. We can't feel real physical pain" He said, smiling, though no one would see it. He was able to say that because whenever he was hit, he hadn't been hurt at all. Sure, an HP gauge had gone down, but his body had been fine. Mentally though, they were all real. He knew that could be hurt... But he was lucky, having not lost anyone yet, at all. Other then his guildmaster, but not in a death way. He hadn't seen or heard from him in ages.... He was wondering if he was okay.
Abalasster 0 Posted May 11, 2017 #10 Share Posted May 11, 2017 (I'm level 10. And we can do loot mobs if you want) Abalasster was till on edge about the noises that he had heard deeper in the cave. He still held firm onto his weapon. It was his only solace at this point in the cave. He feared the monsters that lie within. However, it really wasn't the monster's that caused all the fear. Sure, he slightly feared the bats, because he always feared the thought of death being around each and every corner. However, it was the atmosphere that really set him off. Abalasster hated the dark, with a seething passion. He already regretted entering the cave and accepting this quest, and he hadn't even fought one of the mobs yet. However, he knew that the only way to destroy fear is to stare it down in the face. So Abalasster stood firm. He heard Stryder speak, and Abalasster let off some grief. He had been beginning to worry if his questing companion had left him. However, his fear was shown to be for none. But then, like out of nowhere, the screeches of bat like creatures rang out again. However, these one's were closer this time...

A HUGE bat, and a Huge wolf, both rushing right at him!!! He was quick to doge, both missing him barely, and he was quick to counter. He turned, doing a full three sixty before powerkicking the wolf, and then he quickly dashed, using it again to powerkick the bat. He landed, putting his fists up. He wasn't scared of a wolf or a bat, they were strong, but he could tell they were already at half health. "Careful, these things are strong, i don't want you taking too much damage" He said, preparing to tank these things. He was no tank, but he would rather take the hits for someone he had invited out then for that person to get hurt and die. Never die alone. Never feel helpless again... Abalasster 0 Posted May 13, 2017 #12 Share Posted May 13, 2017 Abalasster heard the sounds of animals spiriting towards him. Abalasster looked in the direction of where he ad heard the noise of the screeches before. He stared diligently down into the darkness, looking to find anything that he could. Sudden out of nowhere, the makers of noise revealed themselves from the dark, They came right for Abalasster and Stryder at impeccable speed. Abalasster dropped to the ground as the bat and wolf attempted to strike him and Stryder. Both of the animal's attacks missed. Abalasster picked himself off the ground and looked at his attackers. The monster's were enormous. Abalasster held firm to his rapier, knowing damn well that a fight would be occurring shortly. His partner, Stryder, kicked both of the animals back and readied his fists for engagement. I too, got myself ready for attack. It was time to give these animals hell... He quickly dashed in, his mind racing as he went in for the kill. He leapt up, using his Tondado kick to spin before powerkicking them both, and within the second of being hit they exploded into fragments. He watched as he got a fair amount of col from each, but better yet, from the wolf he gained four materials!!! He could get back to crafting!!! And from the bat, he got yet another health potion. He was pretty glad, it was rare to be able to get them both, meaning he had gotten INSANELY lucky about all this. "There gone" He said, sighing as he begged to have actually done something decent. He still had to find the child though, but he had hoped that his partner had done that so far, having not seen or heard from him in a little while. @Abalasster Edited May 18, 2017 by Stryder
