Gryas 0 Posted May 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 18, 2017 Hey everyone! I think i missed the information somewhere... but do shields add to Damage mitigation at all if they dont have enhancements that do so?
Anemone 0 Posted May 18, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 18, 2017 You will want to find the skill called Block. ►Block: 5 Ranks Passive Effect: Increase mitigation to match the amount of SP invested into it, thus at max rank giving 50 mitigation. Reduces evasion to be always ≤0 when a shield is equipped. Requires an equipped shield. Description: Defend with your shield, deflecting an opponents attack.
Gryas 0 Posted May 18, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted May 18, 2017 Ah ok and what about armor before enhancements? If I have a uncommon heavy armor? Sorry if I am being a bit daft with this!
Anemone 0 Posted May 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted May 18, 2017 You can pick up the Passive Mitigation on Armor Skills. Armor Skills A player's primary means of defense against enemies in the world of SAO. Armor is gained as rare monster or boss drops, or created by player craftsmen. A second defense option for players against enemies in the world of SAO is the shield. Shields are gained as rare monster or boss drops, or created by player craftsmen. Shields are equipped in the 'off hand' slot, and generally represent a barrier placed between one self and their enemy to avoid incoming damage. You may not wear both types of armor in an attempt to earn double damage mitigation. Only one skill may be active at any given time. You must also have the relevant armor type equipped for it to work. Investing in Equipment Skills serves to help mitigate incoming damage through the use of equipped armor. Each Rank gives more mitigation as shown: Rank 1: 3 Rank 2: 7 Rank 3: 12 Rank 4: 20 Rank 5: 30 These numbers do not stack with the previous rank, they are an indication of your total mitigation with each rank. There are two types of armor skills: ►Light Armor: 5 Ranks Passive Effect: The effectiveness with which a player can use Light Armor Equipment. ►Heavy Armor: 5 Ranks Passive Effect: The effectiveness with which a player can use Heavy Armor Equipment.
