The cries of the babies that he heard before were still in his head, they were nowhere near fit to fight for themselves. But that was none of his concern. They were just pixels at the end of the day. They will eventually respawn, and the cycle will turn out the same over and over again. It was like the players, they were all out getting materials to make sure that they could get some of the best stuff now. With this in mind, he was going to have to do the same, so he made sure to put on his best looting gear. Teion and Sey had a deal, and he was going to make sure to keep it active. So she was going to get a portion of whatever he obtained today from the hunts. So he would begin to look for some plants to see if they have anything.

They players were the same as well, the things that they have to do were put in a loop. They got new cool things, they ended up having to use them in battle somehow. They were going to have to fight for themselves, and the game demanded that they were going to do things over and over until they got to the top. Honestly, Sey did not know if they were going to make it to the highest point, or if he would even be alive by the time they made it up there. But hey, just the thought was enough for him to try. And being stuck in a video game, that was a dream in itself. But Sey had a good life above. As he picked up a few more berries, he thought about his family waiting for him on the other side, and he knew he was going to have to keep trying.

There were a few more berries to pick up, and so he would make sure to do just that. The result was him having a decent amount, enough for Teion to craft with without a doubt. Placing them in his inventory, he would continue to step lightly through the scene lazily, kicking up his legs without so much of a care. There was a huge advantage to being so high up without having to deal with the other players, he was able to get a day of peace by himself without any of them bothering him. Heck, he even bought himself a small inn room to sleep in. And he did not have to worry about screaming lower leveled players having some form of party. It was probably best for him to go home instead, but that would be the boring way out. And the chances of him being able to get a good nights sleep like this was not high in the slightest.

It looks like they were coming in easy for him today, and the best part was, he did not even have to eat anything to help his chances as well. The day was looking up to be great for him. Perhaps he did not have to invest any more points in search and detect after all. As of currently, he had a good 20 he was able to spend. His plan was that when he got the chance, he was going to get the switch ability. Sey could literally rely on the backs of the highest tanking player, and in doing so, he can become the tank. No need to waste his time trying to build up hate, when he could just end up taking it from someone else. There was a lot of berries on the ground it seemed, but they become unknown once they were in his inventory.

It looks like they stopped though, seems like he pushed his luck too far. The berries were gone, now he could go hunting for some other materials. At this point of the game, there needed to be some form of rabbit for him to hunt down. The Ragou rabbits, they were rare, but they provided a pretty good meal for him to enjoy. So on the hunt he would go, looking for a white rabbit in hopes of being able to cook it. It also depended on his ranking as well, considering they were rare and only meant for the best players. But the taste buds he had as well, they probably were going to have the best time. So with that in mind, he would like his lips happily as he aimed to search. There was a lot of ground to cover though, it looks like has to start hunting right away.

It looks like chance was on his side again. There were a few enemies waiting for him, and he was going to have to make a run for it. The materials were behind them, and they did not seem like the types to run through a loop like many of the idiot boars did on the first floor. With that in mind, the snow-haired player would proceed to move through the fields as quickly as he could, trying to end up with as many materials as he could. His gear was not designed for fighting, but at least his heavy armor was not holding him down this time. With that said, he would slide as he saw a few crops, picking them from the ground before then making the run as quickly as he could. Fortunately, the game did not make his energy based on running, so it relied on his ability to run in the real world.

He got them! But they were on hot pursuit as well, meaning he was not going to be finding anything until he could shake them off of him. They did not seem to be the fastest of beings either, despite it being the darkness. It was an odd way for him to go about things, relying on nothing but his instinct rather than his sight. But at least he was able to pull through with it. So as he continued to move, he would stop for the moment, noticing that there were no steps being heard. They were gone for now, so he was happy about that. But it brought him to a new area, questioning where he was and if he could get anything out of it. It was time to explore the ground, since that was usually where most of the items would appear from anyways. And they he can continue on from there.

As he continued to pace through the scene, he would hit his head against a tree in front of him. Shaking his head from the impact, he would allow his head to cool down, though he felt no pain, as that had been numbed in the game. When he was ready, he would look up, noticing a few shadowed outlines telling him that there were some things he could grip to climb up. This floor in particular was designed for those like Hidden anyways, so it was very unlikely for him to not find an assassin up there in the future with the intent of wanting to kill him at the end of the day. Noted, but were there any materials up there he wondered. And so course, he was going to press his luck and make the climb, pressing his body against the tree and making his way up.

As he made his way up, he could find a few shining materials a little bit above his head. Due to this, he would end up taking them within his grip confidently, placing them in his inventory, as he would continue to make his way up. Perhaps he would be able to find himself another hidden area up in the tallest of the trees if he got lucky enough. Placing his luck on that,  his body would continue to shift upwards as he would try to have that as the goal. Placing his palms on the bark roughly, he would feel a bit of heat on them, meaning he was putting too much force on them. But unfortunately, if he wanted to get up the tree, he needed to do that. On the plus side, he was almost halfway done with the tree. It was not as huge as the one he did in his last material hunt.

As he made his way up, he would then jump off of the tree and grab onto the branch nearby. It was good for him to get some rest. With as much upper body strength as he could emit from his body, he would slowly bring himself up onto the branch. With that done, he would smile as he knew that he was a successful one, and he did not have to take all damage. On this floor, that would have caught the attention of many monsters around the area. Without Kyu around, that was just going to make life a living nightmare for him to endure. With that though, he would look to see a few acorns on the branch. They shined, so they were materials. So he took a good pluck at them until the shine would disappearing, adding some more of them into his inventory stock market.

When he looked up from the branch, he saw no floor above his body. Meaning there was no  hidden area like there was the last time. It was a shame, and to think that he would have been able to loot another place like he did last time. The 21^st floor definitely did a good job at making things far harder for him. When he looked at his inventory, he found a new item area, the third tier materials. They would then proceed to reveal that he had 24 of them so far, which was a fair amount. Certainly made enough for him to have some gear. Of course, he was going to have to do this in exchange for the meals he made as well. For his outdated armor can only not protect him from so much damage. At least he was able to inflict some more as well, he can make more meals with high tiers… It’s just all a huge loop.

It seemed like he got some progress. Now for the acorns. There were a few bunches of them that need to be plucked. It was just the shine that he needed to get, just to make sure that they were safe. And to think that he was previously on the hunt for a rabbit, but not he was on the hunt for just a couple acorns instead. It was a shame, but at least these were third tier acorns that he was obtaining. With a smile on his face, he would find a few of them shining, placing out his palm and having a firm grip before pulling. This was a better way to do it, without gathering, there was a 50 50 chance of ending up with a beehive in his palms. And nobody would enjoy having that on their being, and the game probably wouldn’t numb that pain.

There was a certain song that he was reminded of in a time like this. It was no one huge, perhaps they were just trying to make it big. Sey wondered how they did now. But they had much impact in their words when they told their stories, and Sey was just trying to make a living. It was living the life that they sand and rapped about, yet it felt so normal. This world, he was fighting for his life, yet he was completely calm. Nothing was standing in his way, and he did not have any fear of the players anymore due to the amount of power that he had. Perhaps that person, if they were to put themselves in his shoes, would they say the same thing? Even when Sey failed to find any materials, he was still looking up. Many players just tend to give up once they can’t find anything. Not him, and when people say they can do something, they can only say it.

He jumped from the tree branch that he was on onto the next one without even so much as a drop of sweat battered from his body. It was a tough landing, but he was able to make it without falling. With a small smile, he would look to the left. Nothing. To the right. He found a few more glowing materials, and so they would be plucked into his inventory. In the darkness below, he can see the monsters lurking, waiting for their prey to arrive. Players were not on the menu yet, not if their hope was just to end up getting Sey. He was far slippier than that. With that, he would then see if he could get any more materials before he would set home. There was a little bit more strength that he could muster before he went over to his client, she was in need of the materials.

With that said, he would then look back down to the ground, though some of them were actually climbing the tree! Shoot, he was going to have to evade them as soon as he can. So with that in mind, he would prepare himself as he would jump from the branch off onto the next tree. They were on hot pursuit. At least he was able to pull out a few acorns in the process as he ran. They however were making the chase harder as they would have some back up try to assist them. As long as Sey did not actually try to hit them, he would have a chance to not engage them. They probably had more health than he did though, and his gear was not yet ready to take on the monsters, so he was not going to risk such a stupid thing in exchange for his life.

They were still on the hunt, but he was taking advantage of the fact that they were unable to track him down. As he would proceed to move through the scene, he would end up looking at a few materials on a different branch. In an attempt to obtain them, he would leap off of the current branch and gripping on the bark before then swinging, though he tried to grip the acorn bunch while he flew up in the air, he was unable to get them and was forced to move on without them. As be landed on the bark of the branch, he would snap his fingers and click his teeth, knowing full well that he missed. He looked down to notice that he was getting closer and closer to the safe zone, meaning that he lucked out big time and chose the right direction. It was just about how well he can hop, and hopefully not missing a beat.

Sey was going to overthrow the enemies as he would continue to move, but then suddenly stop before taking a dive into the safe zone. He would take a bit of fall damage from the impact, but he did not end up taking any fatal damage. Even better, they were done following him as he was too close to the safe zone. With that said, the snow haired player would end up having his share of materials as he would notice a few more berries. Well, they were not rare rabbits at the end of the day, but they had some form of use to him. So he would pluck a few of them from the ground and then place them into his inventory. They would have use to his pocket blacksmith when he got to her. With that said, he would then continue his search, but not far from the zone.

It was over, but he was still in need of materials if he wanted to have some alcoholics for himself. And if he wanted Tei to make some items for him, he was going to have to make sure that she got a fair share of them as well. He was on hot pursuit to make sure that there was nothing around him. There were many berries around him, and he would pluck them up quickly. They were not going away from his site. For all he knew, he might have ended up with an armor with one of them. Considering the game brought up a new tier to itself, he was able to get a lot of cool things. Such as a new armor to block a lot more damage with. That being said, the snow haired player was on the hunt, nailing every last corner for materials. What a hunt.

Sweet, with that, he would end up with about enough materials. There was no number, but he was going to think about what he was going to make out of the items. A lot of mitigation items, and a lot of damage items. The rest could screw off. That was the cooking profession, alcohol. It was then confirmed that the game did not make you drunk, though it did leave some a little tipsy. That was fine, because he was not truly drinking anyways. And the drinks were so bitter, he would nearly vomit whenever he had a drop of that liquid on his tongue. It was nothing worth it at all. With that, he would then look back to the safe zone. Then he would proceed to make his way towards the inside of it, looking to close off the day on a successful note. There was a private message he needed to send.

Tat was the end of the gathering mission, though it was now time for the rest of the players to come up as well. There was little to no time to get his gear. So with that out of the way, he would proceed to move down to where he knew Teion was. She was going to make him a few items, because he was one of the few players who had some tier 3 materials. Placing his hands in his pockets, he would proceed to move to the teleportation gate and end up down below where all the tier two players were located now. It had been a while since he was below that level, but now he was not. Now he was a little bit more important to the game than he ever was. Now if only Leru were here to see him, that would be his one wish.
