Balmung 0 Posted July 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2017 (edited) ProfileUsername: BalmungReal Name: Henry AffmeinAge: 21 (Born on August 10)Gender: MaleHeight: 6' 2"History & Personality Henry was just a college student before the release of <<Sword Art Online>>. He went to class, he studied for hours on end, he ate as cheap as he could, and he struggled to afford the rent on his apartment each month. He part-timed at a local gym where they gave lessons in HEMA, Historical European Martial Arts, where he would clean and oil the weapons and armor used for practice. This inevitably led to Henry becoming very much involved in the sport, and he grew a love for the beauty of the art of swordplay. A love which would ultimately culminate in Henry waiting in line for hours to get his hands on a copy of SAO when it launched. Henry was always fascinated by the medieval world. Especially by the world famous stories of knights and chivalry. A child who admired such things eventually grew into a man who lived to personify exactly what a knight should be. Henry is a man who puts honor above everything else. He is an altruist, who goes out of his way to put others before himself. Henry upholds the age old values of chivalry to a fault. When playing as Balmung, Henry loses all his personal reservations and truly believes that he is a knight who will uphold justice and defend the meek. Virtues:Noble: Balmung thinks of himself as a knight who wants to protect the people. He holds himself in high regard and has strict moral standards that he feels he must uphold. Because of this, Balmung often displays acts of chivalry and goes out of his way to protect those who are weaker than he.Determined: Balmung has a strong will that is not easily broken. Even when he finds the situation against him, Balmung is able to keep a high morale. However, Balmung is not so headstrong as to not know when to retreat from a fight, as sometimes retreat is simply a tactic to achieving victory further down the line.Duelist: The player behind Balmung is very active in the sport of HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts). This has lead to him training his body, his mind, and his reflexes to endure the strains of such a sport. This can give Balmung an edge in combat at times.Flaws:Self-Righteous: Balmung believes he is inherently morally justified. It is against his nature to ever give up ground when he feels he is doing the correct thing. As a result of this, Balmung often butts head with those around him who don't see the world in the same light as he.Intolerant: Balmung strongly feels that those who have violated his personal code will forever be offenders. He has next to zero tolerance for those he views as transgressors. This leads to Balmung finding it exceedingly difficult to forgive.Altruistic: Due to Balmung's noble nature, he often feels undeniably compelled to give aid to those in need. He often finds himself becoming involved in situations that did not originally concern him if he feels that someone is in need. Balmung can rub people the wrong way when he does, even though he views his intentions as just.Profession: (Leave blank until the Earning a Living quest has been completed.)Skills Skill Points Total: 8Skill Points Remaining: 3Skill Points Spent: 5Skill Slots Remaining: 1 Non-combat:»Passive:»Combat:»Weapon skills:» One Handed Straight Sword - Rank 1 (5/50 SP)Inventory Consumables: Tier 1 Healing Potion of Uncommon Quality (+40 HP) x5 Tier 1 Damage Potion (+1 DMG) x1 Tier 1 Over-Health Potion (+50 Temp.
