Once again Aereth found himself working to clear out his quest log, as well as letting off some steam on every mob that was stupid enough to cross his way. He was still trying to process everything that happened to him recently. Getting captured for some weeks surly set him back quite a bit from his usual way of training and working. And the most recent encounter with the Laughing Coffin also did nothing good to his mental stability. Currently being level 43 he also needed to think of getting himself an upgrade to his armor soon because tier three wasn't that far away anymore. "F*ck that sh*t. Why the hell am I struggling so hard while others just play this stupid game for fun." he gave out when he emerged from the shiny light of a teleport crystal.
Aereth 1 Posted July 21, 2017 Author #2 Share Posted July 21, 2017 But he also wasn't here just to whine about things that happened to him over the last couple of weeks. He needed experience, and that fast. If he wanted to take on Laughing Coffin in the future, he needed to step up his game again. His own training was also cut shorter than before due to Daniella. He was training that hottie personally so that he would have some back up on the more dangerous and reckless things he was about to do in the future. And that schedule for Dani, messed with his own training schedule. But not today. Today it was only him some materials, and a big haired monkey. Initially Aereth wanted to do that quest with Jonathan, but due to both not finding much time recently he decided to rock through it alone for now. And just some steps away he found his first set of materials. ID# 87012 results: Loot: 20+5 Materials:
Aereth 1 Posted July 21, 2017 Author #3 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Greedily storing away the four materials, he afterwards opened up his menu and map to check all the quest data he had received: Terrified village, big monkey, kill kill kill. He looked once more into the direction the field boss should have been and quickly made his way towards that general direction. Today he didn't care about his appearance so he already wore his flaming battle armor with his phase sword on his back. Though it was still a little bit useless as it was right now, he still carried it it around as some kind of memento of his friend Beatbox. Oh yeah, did I forget to tell you. Beatbox was dead. Killed by the guy that wields the Dual Blades. Good stuff. His frontlining to-be guild leader killed even before the guild was started. Awesome. Either way, Aereth would still carry on with his own little war against LC. But not before spotting another set of mats on the ground. Aereth 1 Posted July 21, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted July 21, 2017 Again, materials got stored away into his inventory, and he nearly missed another set of four materials hidden beneath the first stet he found. Shrugging and wondering as to how stupid a game developer must have been to program an Ai that hid two sets of four perfect materials just on the same spot, he stored them away and continued his walk to the village where the quest would start. Some minutes of walking later he finally arrived at his destination, and immediately talked to the quest giving NPC, not wanting to stay too long in the near area of the village due to his shady appearance and orange cursor floating over his head. He sighed heavily. "Honestly. I don't even care about these stupid looks people give to me. By now almost ever f*cking living soul in Aincrad knows who I am, so why do they even bother trying to act like I was just another PKer..." Aereth 1 Posted July 21, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted July 21, 2017 After receiving all the necessary information for the quest, Aereth immediately headed away from the village and went looking for the huge ass monkey king. Oh god, how he hated interacting with some stupid NPC's. Even though he most probably would have enjoyed talking to them if this wasn't just some stupid death game, it greatly annoyed him now. And the more they sounded and acted like actual human beings, the more he felt disgusted by them. Some quick minutes later he finally found himself at the entrance of the area where the Monkey king was located. And not even one step in, the stupid field boss made his appearance from over the trees and started too attack the flaming brunette. At the last second Aereth was able to avoid the incoming attack by leaping forward. Immediately drawing his sword, Aereth accidentally gripped the Dimensional shift and started unleashing a fury of swipes and fists towards the field boss. Aereth 1 Posted July 21, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted July 21, 2017 The phase enhancement on Aereth's blade did its magic and cut the mitigation of the stupid monkey king in half, which Aereth immediately took advantage of, with another fury of fists raining down on the field buss until it burst into tiny little polygons with the congratulations screen popping up in front of him. This really wasn't a hard battle, but what was he thinking. This was a low level quest and he was almost at a point where he could start working towards the front lines. Shrugging he made his way back to the outside of the city to claim he rewards for killing the big monkey. After a few shared words, and some pressed buttons Aereth was done with the quest and had received the massive reward for it. Chuckling, he walked back into the woods and started to hack away some of the weaker mobs to grind for some experience. Aereth 1 Posted August 7, 2017 Author #7 Share Posted August 7, 2017 About thirty minutes later: Aereth sighed after slaying yet another mob. He wasn't getting much out of them because of his high level. "Maybe I need to transfer my hunting grounds to somewhere else on a higher floor..." Aereth mused, as he sheathed his blade. At least he could still find some more materials. But first he would walk back to the quest NPC and hand in the quest, in order to get his rewards. It wasn't much Col and item wise, but the experience wields were pretty decent. He would soon be able to get another rank in his Charge skill, and this was yet another step closer towards his goal in maxing out his damage. Currently he was pretty satisfied with the damage output of his build. But he would need to alter his build quite a bit in the coming weeks. Front line level was a must... Aereth 1 Posted August 7, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted August 7, 2017 To be honest, he had made quite a big mistake in his build. He was a pretty decent one on one fighter, with the ability to even getting the edge over slightly higher leveled players than him, due to the help of his unique enhancements. The flame aura on his light armor in combination with his phase weapon made him a force to be reckoned with. But he was struggling really hard when fighting two or more strong players. He could easily be overwhelmed with the right numbers, as the incident with the Laughing Coffin showed. He was having a good fight with one of them, but as soon as the others showed up , he was lost. He couldn't focus on six players, and keep his girl safe as well. Hell, he couldn't win that fight even if he would only have to watch out for himself. He knew that problem, now only the answer was missing... ID# 87622 results: Loot: 6+5 Materials:
Aereth 1 Posted August 7, 2017 Author #9 Share Posted August 7, 2017 Of course he could go with the two handed battle ax skill. This would give him access to the strongest area of effect sword art in the whole game, but that option was out of question for him. He already had two weapon skills and adding a third one wouldn't do any good for the brunette. He would need to find another way in archiving his goal. Fist charge, then light armor and after that battle healing. He definitely would work on his mitigation and healing capabilities, but first he needed to finish his charge skill. Rank three was already pretty decent for the first hit, but he also needed the skill mod of rank five. Bullrush was worth it's cost. Being able to stun your opponent with the strongest of your sword arts, or even use the mod on an area of effect sword art was just too good... Aereth 1 Posted August 7, 2017 Author #10 Share Posted August 7, 2017 But for now he should focus back on the things he was currently doing. With that, he shook his head and turned his attention back to the things he currently was doing. Getting back to the NPC and cash in the reward for his quest. AAAAaand maybe even find some materials on the way back. And just as he finished his train of thoughts, the brunette spotted a set of four perfect materials on the side of the path he was currently walking on. He crouched down and stored every one of the four pieces into his inventory. "Man, I need to get back to crafting soon or otherwise I will run out of Col sooner or later...." he thought as he got back up and continued walking back. It was true. He hadn't been crafting in quite some time, and he needed to refresh his skills. He would need a set of armor soon after all... Aereth 1 Posted August 8, 2017 Author #11 Share Posted August 8, 2017 Tier three. He had heard that tier three gave a major boost to DPS players well, probably to all. The boost in base damage was enormous. His familiar would get stronger, and his overall equipment would get more sturdy. And he would have to use the unique tier upgrade item he had received from one of the many event bosses he fought in the past. And with the recent nerve of the Light Armor in terms of Mitigation, he would outclass many other evasion based DPS players. That armor was more than great. Flame Aura was one of the best enhancements out there, and he was one of the few players that was lucky enough to grab one of that armours. Only tanks would have more mitigation, but that was no problem. Most players he was fighting, were stealthy DPS anyways, so they didn’t have much extremely high mitigation to begin with. Aereth 1 Posted August 8, 2017 Author #12 Share Posted August 8, 2017 He was again lost in thoughts and on Auto pilot, but thankfully managed to pick up some materials. This time he even found eight materials in the process, and with a satisfied grin he stored them away. He was going to have more than enough crafting materials for tier one equipment at the end of the day, and that was always a very good thing. Shortly after finding the materials, he finally reached the quest NPC and received all of the rewards. His level rose to 44, he got a good amount of Col… Pretty good day. But looking on the clock told him that there was still time to find some materials, before he would have to find a shelter for the night. And that wasn’t going to be very hard. A big tree with some big branches would do, since it was most definitely more comfortable than walking back to his home floor… ID: 87633 LD: 17+5 Materials: 20+4 =
Aereth 1 Posted August 8, 2017 Author #13 Share Posted August 8, 2017 So our brunette protagonist finally had finished his quest and started to head back out to find some more materials. All the while he was trying to think of a plan on how to handle the whole Laughing Coffin matter. He most definitely would have to start working on his end of the bargain, or he would have to risk his friends lives to find out if the Laughing Coffin was just bluffing. And he wouldn't play with the that kind of fire if he could avoid it easily by slaying the other red guilds heads... To be honest, he had been planning to take care of as much PK guilds as he could before starting his all out war against the Laughing Coffin, so this bargain was more or less a win win for Aereth. If they would hold up their end, Aereth would know that his people would be safe, and he could still work purging the other PK guilds. Materials:
Aereth 1 Posted August 8, 2017 Author #14 Share Posted August 8, 2017 Stil, it didn't feel right. Working for or with the most dangerous PK guild in the whole game was something that was bothering him more than anything else at the moment. If he was just stronger. If he just was more powerful. Then he could have taken on the leader and be done with it. Aereth shook his head at that thought. It really seemed that he still hadn't learnt his lesson. Even if he would have been strong enough to best Sensui, he still would have had to face all of the other attending Lauging Coffin members in addition to protecting Dani. "F*ck. Where's that gal lately?" he asked himself as he thought about the whole matter. "I sure as hell could need someone to talk about that whole sh*t..." he thought while picking up another set of four tier one materials. It seemed like the mobs on floor 21 wouldn't have a good evening and night.... ID: 87654 LD: 11+5 Materials:
Aereth 1 Posted August 16, 2017 Author #15 Share Posted August 16, 2017 But before he would go up and kill mobs in order to get some steam and stress out of his system, he would need to finish his business down here. Gathering some more materials until he had enough for the next couple of weeks. Looking at the clock in on his HUD, Aereth noticed that it was well past five o' clock in the afternoon. About two more hours and then he would start grinding through the mobs of floor 21. Slowly but surely the brunette was f*cking up his sleep schedule again. He hated to sleep. Most of the times he would just lie in bed waiting for the next morning, or if the sandman came to him he would only have nightmares. So either way, it was better for him to just reduce sleeping to a minimum again and use the extra time to grind for some EXP. Aereth 1 Posted August 17, 2017 Author #16 Share Posted August 17, 2017 Thankfully inside of sword art online there was nothing like physical exhaustion from staying up too long. Sure, if you were to fight all day, your energy would sink and at some point, you are forced to rest but just from staying up a player wouldn't get too tired. Or at least that's what he was telling himself. He shook his head and continued to look for some more materials. A slight sigh escaped him while he picked up some more materials from the ground. How many did he find since he started to look for them? Probably more than enough for quite some time, but you never knew when some redhead decides to drop by for some more materials. He chuckled at the thought of Domarus. The man for sure would scold him again if he found out how hard he was pushing himself again. "That control freak..."
