So I have heard of certain NPC players. Is it possible to have one fight alongside you in a Solo Party thread? I'm assuming there are limitations that apply, but is there anything else I should know about as well?

NPC players cannot assist you in any form of combat or quest. I personally had a short discussion about this with @Ruby and @Teion, and they did say you are free to duel against them, however.

You have a lot of freedom in the story aspect of it, but as Aoda said, they cannot have any impact on the mechanics of a fight. Feel free to include them in the story, but do not roll for them or give them stats. They can't block damage for you, etc.

So, from what I believe you are saying, NPCs can be added to fluff up threads and such, but cannot have anything to do with combat/stats/dice unless it is a duel, right?
