Jason is a young gamer from the US, who always was a little different. He hadn't been a gamer all his life, nor had he been a big fan of Japanese games at all. In his early youth Jason had been one of the best athletes of his school, he always was training. As he was to small and "weak" for football, his favourite sport was Baseball, and he was training and playing whenever he has time for it. With eleven years, he already had won two state wide tournaments with his team. This was when he had to move as his mother had been offered a Job in a leading Technologie corporation.

The new town they moved to was far of from where he had lived till then, and what he had to find out, was that they didn't have a baseball team. The next team he could have been playing on was more then three hours away, and so his parents decided, that he couldn't continue playing. That was traumatic, as he didn't know what to do all day long, as both his parents worked and he couldn't train. Within the next year, he made friends with some kids from town and he learned, that they had something just as exciting as baseball that many of them did. There was a museum in the town, that showed how the medieval Europe had knights and fighters with swords and so they had decided to learn this. With videos from the internet and the help of dome parents they had founded a Fighting School for medieval fighting. Jason spent lots of time on his new Hobby and became a good fighter. When he heard about a game, which would allow people to become Knights in some VR kingdom he had to test it, which is why he came to Japan.

Virtues:

Authenticity: Jason spent a big part of his youth becoming better at sports and learning what was important for him. Now he has strict rules for himself which he always follows. If he decided to do something he'll do it his way, no matter what other people think would be better.

Teamplayer: As he had played Baseball nearly all his childhood, he knows how important it is to play as a team. If he is part of a group there is no way for him to let somebody do something stupid or dangerous. He always takes one for the team, even if it means that he endangers himself.

Confidence: His success at nearly everything he did made him pretty confident in his own body. He knows that he is not the biggest or strongest, but that doesn't stop him from believing, that he can do whatever he wants to do. There is no challenge that is to big for him.

Stubbornness: The same confidence, that makes him such a powerful player also is one of his biggest weaknesses. As Jason always thinks, that he can do everything, he won't back down, not even from a fight that is to difficult for him. Besides that there is his will to help his team to the point of him jumping into an enemies attack to protect his friends.

Arrogance: Jason always was one of the bests in no matter what. This made him believe that he is something special, and he shows it to everyone. As he thinks of him as one of the best players he won't show respect to these that are better than him. This might lead to many problems with nearly everyone.

Laziness: With his training in the real world Jason thinks he knows everything about fighting with swords, which makes him lazy in learning or training within SAO. He will increase his skills, but only to match what he already knows. If there is a way of archiving something without doing much for it, this is the way he will take.
