» About: Drake's life was a bit of an adventure, not that SAO isn't one. He was born to a set of wealthy parents, both owned their own companies, each tied together to further improve the other. His father owned a string of highly successful night clubs and his mother owned and operated a very secure security system. He was born six years into their marriage, then his little brother five years later. He grew up in a sheltered life till the age of six. His littler brother was still in diapers and he watched as his parent's began to grow apart. He had pointed out a poster to Disney land one day and that set the spark for his parents to rekindle their marriage through traveling the world.

 

Drake hardly had any real friends, hell he barley started school when they were about to leave on their adventure. The company his mother owned was sold to a partner who was a life long friend of theirs, granting them multi-millions of dollars to spend. His father still owned the string of night clubs, the dividends would go to help balance out their spending habits for the future to come. Over the years he was placed in 'teaching environments' for him to learn while his parents went off for days, sometimes weeks on end just having a good time around the new country they were in. Six months was the average time he spent in a new home, save for Japan and China. Those two countries were his home for three years each, first Japan when he was turning eleven and China when he was fourteen. In these countries he learned how to wheeled a sword and had decent martial arts training on the side of traditional school learning.

 

As he was turning seventeen he asked for the new Nerve Gear that was all the rage and it would, he hoped, help him learn to interact with people and maybe...just maybe get some friends. He dawned the head gear and the rest of it and dived into the new world within the first hour he had gotten it. He walked around the new world, admiring it for it's vastness and beauty...it was far grander then the world he had come to know as a traveler in the real world. He spend hours just walking around and getting the feel for this place...he'd get serious tomorrow, but...there was a problem...he didn't want to leave.

 

»Personality: Drake is a recluse for the most part, he never really had long term friendship so he got used to being on his own from time to time. He holds a special bond with his little brother, but they grew up differently. Drake was not into the whole traveling thing while his brother was. He loved seeing new things but when he can't bring familiar faces with him it makes him upset somewhat. He has a little hard time speaking to girls but when and if he gets any friends of the opposite sex he will be less shy and more open.

 

He has a tendency to tolerate other men, having butted heads with practically all the men he has encounters, save for his brother. His fondness for physical activity leaves him in great looking shape. He can be a team player but prefers to do things himself as he has no real experience with being a 'group'.

 

» Virtues:

Kindness - Drake is a very kind person when you get to know him. His appearance of a cold appearance is just a caked on level of layers of hardly having anyone to be really kind to.

 

Patience - Having to put up with parents he has, Drake is quite patient though it does have it's limits. Nearly 2 decades of putting up with the shenanigans his folks did...yeah if that's not patience then nothing it.

 

Understatement - At a young age Drake grew to understand a good amount of things, he learned and grew in his learning. When some people offer explanations in their wrong doings Drake will simply nod and give a smile and tell them he understands.

 

» Flaws:

 

Anger - There is a great level of anger built up in this young man though, it goes hand in hand with his resentment for his parents. The anger of being left for others to 'teach' and 'raise'...it just builds up and builds up. He very rarely lets his anger get the ebst of him, but when he does it is not well...for either party.

 

Resentment - Again, goes hand in hand with his anger. The resentment is mostly towards his parents but easily can reflect on those he deems as neglectful and uncaring.

 

Fear - He was mostly alone a majority of his life...he doesn't want that again and SAO is his outlet for this kind of thing...
