Frost 0 Posted October 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 29, 2017 (edited) Nickname: Frost Full Name: Jón Aron Ólaffson Age: 19 Gender: Male Height: 5'8" History Jón A. Ólaffson was born on a dark midday of autumn of year 2003, in a town not very far away from Reykjavik. He is the son of a high seas fisherman and a woman who collaborated part-time in a videogames magazine. Because of his father's job he never got to see him often, but he does kind of manage his absence by trying to keep up a monthly correspondence. In general, he was quite of a Momma boy. Until the age of five he lived quite a snowy life between fjords, sheep and winter sports. When the Great Recession in 2008 hit Iceland with the consequences that we know nowadays, his family suffered an economy bankrupt and moved to Norway with a few relatives. A few years later, in 2011, when the worst seemed to come to an end, they came back to Reykjavik lured by a job offer from CPP Games, who hired Jón's mother to work for EVE Online. And boy, wasn't she good at that! Seeing a dream come true, the excited woman showed her hidden talents, which in turn returned as accomplishments and the circle went on and on. Jón saw his mother's fulfillment with delightful eyes - delight that, with the passing of adolescence and an increasingly lonely household, his heart shaped into unconscious resentment. When the end of high school faced him with a major decision to his life, he discovered he had no clear goals. The idea of becoming a fisherman like his father didn't appeal to him. An economist or a game designer like his mother didn't fit the bill either, but all other ideas passed as too wild and idealistic to accept. In the end he entered a compulsory school to find something of interest in there, but he began ditching class in September of 2022. He waited until his birthday for his mother to be at home and talk about it in person. However, he was recieved by a package in the living room and a letter: "I'm sorry hon, I can't make it this year either. Here's a gift a comrade sent to me from an affiliate". Inside the box, he found a NerveGear and a copy of Sword Art Online. Virtues Easy-going: Relaxed, laid-back, going-with-the-flow... All these kind of adjectives describe the best vibes of Frost’s lax personality. This makes him appear as an easy person to get along with, someone who usually knows how to keep composture, admit his silly slip-offs, when to take a break. Surely a chill guy, indeed. Responsible: Responsible in the sense of mature, trustworthy, levelheaded. Someone with a sensible outlook to the world. You could very well say this about him because of the way he deals with day-to-day stuff. He takes accountance for his own actions, he complies what he promises, he knows when to separate the fun situations from the serious and solemn. While still a little childish at times, he is a reasonable man. Attentive: This can go two-ways. For one, he is attentive when it comes to being aware of his surroundings. How important it is to know where you go, with whom you are, how steady must be the ground before you put your step on it, etc. For the other it can be an attention to people. This later is translated in caring and allocentric behaviours. Some times nicer than others, that is to say. Vices Jealous: In the same way he can be an angel when people seems to care for him, this may be transformed into jealousy when said people turn the eye to another. He does not like opponents and he can act in very foolish ways to maintain his dominance, most of which may cloud his ladder of morals. He is like a peacock in that sense - playing any tricks he can to show off the best feathers. Procastinator: Let’s be honest: as much easy-going as he is, he has a problem to draw a line between enough and too much. Specially when it comes to resting and not putting the hands to work. “It’s okay, there’s time!” he says often, as he decides it is time to go for a walk. In other words, he does not get seriously to work unless the scythe of the deadline is way over the corner. Distrustful: He has got a hard time trusting in other people, that is a fact. The false friends that never miss in anyone’s lives, the increasing warnings of PKers and other scandals around Aincrad, these and some others sharpened him in the craft of distrust. Yes, it enters in his attentive policy, but you know how it goes.
