» About: Ichiro was a Christian college student attending a university in order to get a degree in molecular biology. He was about to go into his third semester when he bought SAO and began to play it on release day. On becoming trapped in the game he decided to become a blacksmith. He did this both because it was a personal passion of his, and because it would be a way to help out others whom may not otherwise survive.

» Virtues:

. Kindness. Ichiro is a kind man whom tries to protect those around him even if it means he may lose his own life. This kindness stems both from his Religion and from his past. Since he did not have an easy childhood he knew what it was like to not feel kindness, It is partially for this reason that he tries his best to be kind to all he meets.

. Intelligence. Ichiro is an intelligent man whom thinks through problems and situations that may cause others pause. However if someone other than himself is in danger his careful planning goes out the window in favour of keeping the person safe at all cost. During his youth he took up an interest in strategy based combat, such as chess and the works of generals in war. This studying has given him an increased amount of possible ways to live through a hard battle.

. Experience. Ichiro has played numerous MMOs and knows the inner workings of games of that genre. This causes him to understand the kind of actions that need to be taken in a given situation to help achieve success. His understanding of not only ways out of hard situations in MMOs but also the way the creators of a MMO would think. Such as where to put traps and good ways to ambush players. Though he would use such information in order to help his party get around traps rather than to set them.

. Ichiro’s kindness often gets him into trouble since he is willing to endanger his life for anyone in trouble. This has led to a number of close calls, and will probably lead to his death. He also tends to think of others safety more than his own, so even if he has a plan that just might save everyone in danger Vs a plan that would definitely save all but himself, he would most likely choose the latter.

. Ichiro’s morality can cause him problems on numerous occasions. He is unwilling to take advantage of others even if it would give him great financial gain. Also if someone badly needs something he is selling but cannot afford it, he will usually work out a way that they can get it even if it causes him personal loss. This can at times work against him in his business, such as drastically lowering a price when someone really needs something.

. Ichiro has a poor self-image due to his weight in childhood. This caused him many hardships as he grew, eventually leading to his current mind-set. Even though he worked to resolve his weight issue he still feels poorly of himself. This causes him to mistrust genuine kind words/acts given to him by other. Although he still acts kind toward them in return, his internal mind-set is one of loneliness and unease. This is most likely partially responsible for him putting his safety last during combat with other people In danger.

Profession: Blacksmith. Ichiro had a fascination with blacksmithing before he came to SAO. He usually chose to be a blacksmithing in MMOs he played in the past. This has even lead to him trying out blacksmithing as a hobby in real life. Once inside SAO he found a major chance to help others and find a small place in this world for himself.
