[F1-SP] Gathering again for a different Alchemist <<TFFLAF>>

Cassius makes his way towards the quest giver known as Zachariah knowing that he might as well get the other gathering quest out of the way after he had done it for the earning a living quest. It is just the same requirements, but from what he had been told that this one will be even easier since the game lowers the requirements for finding items during the duration of it. Just another thing this game does for the weak little fools who need their tiny confident boosts to make them feel like they are actually good at this game when they only get false confidence from making these potions, and finding the materials. Cassius can only hope that these other lessons will actually give him a challenge to make him feel like these quests allow players to feel some sense of danger in this, or if everything will just be a pushover during it.  He makes his way once more through the crowded streets unable to not do so unlike moments before since the alchemist is practically near the main road which makes him rather easy to find.

Cassius walks through the town giving his pleasantries while ignoring the people that say anything him since it is most likely them saying nothing of importance. Nobody in this game being of interest really since they have all disillusioned themselves that everything is fine, and that they are actually strong when they are not. Cassius turns his head and spots the shop that belong to the alchemist he has been looking for. He turns and heads towards the shop and opens the door and enters spotting a rather looking old man who looks like he would fit better in giving Link a sword then a alchemist. As he gazes at this NPC it turns to him and says in a kind tone of voice. Oh-o-o-ho. Welcome to my shop lad please come over here i am in need of someone with youthful energy such as yourself. The NPC says to me as Cassius just nod his head and walks over to the NPC already finding this man to be annoying even so when compared to the other alchemist he had to deal with that had given him his profession.

Once near the alchemist the NPC says to him. Oh thank you once more for coming into my shop, but as i said i am in need of help. Cassius has to avoid the temptation to roll his eyes at the obvious repeat of information. You see i am old, and i am in need of someone to help me gather materials in the preparation of selling my potions, and handing them out to some of my friends so they can continue their professions. Once more Cassius can only marvel at this NPCs ability to speak the obvious of why he needs to be done. However, their is still the need to keep a image, so instead of calling this old man a short minded fool he instead said. Of course it is the only thing i can do to help out someone like you. After all i am sure you are busy with your craft, and that age can only be a hindrance. Give me a small amount of time, and i'll be able to get all the materials that you need sir. Cassius say as he accepts the quest once it prompts itself, and then the NPC nods his head. Oh thank you now stay safe okay. Don't let one of those nasty monster get you.

After accepting the quest and receiving the old NPC's words Cassius left this man and heads out into the world going back towards the same fields he had just left to do the same exact thing once more. To gather enough materials in preparation for the crafting that is ahead of himself. Having to grab this to help a old man with things he could hire another NPC to do, but instead leaves it to the players to have a reason fro the quest to exist. However, this is rather normal for MMORPGs so he can't complain since he should be use to fetch quests by this point do to his gaming experience of how things work. Thinking for a moment he opens up his menu and starts messaging a few of the informants he has to start getting to work on finding the location of the shop that belong's to the Celestial Ascendant Itzal. Informing them it is of importance for him since he is in need of help finding a familiar. Which is true, but their is also the fact he can use Itzal in the future to meet other of the famous Ascendants possibly to them use their specific builds to compliment his ability to do massive damage with his martial arts.

After sending out the message to his informants Cassius quickly enters the nearest alleyway and once more starts snaking his way through the city moving much faster then he had before since he had just taken the same way to get to the alchemist to get his profession. By now already this path is like second nature as he avoids the main road sticking to the shadows as he looks over the skills that are within this game. Wondering what would be for the best considering his knowledge of how the quests are going to go from overhearing how things are. He knows that hiding could be used for quite a few quests which would allow him to knock out opponents one at a time encase they could give him trouble do to their group attacks that could bring him to one knee, or death. He nods his head adding Sneak into his list of skills to use for his bonus of hiding away from opponents to deal with them one at a time instead of in groups which could spell the end of him if he tried to confront them otherwise.

Nodding his head at this decision he makes his way nearer to the exit before it is within sight as he nods his head before once more sneaking past the other players out into the fields looking for any materials which should happen rather quickly considering the conditions that this quest parameter has set up for him and any other player who manages to take this quest. However, even with the bonus to finding the items that this quest gives that he couldn't find a material right away which is rather frustrating for him knowing that it should be easy, but it isn't happening as such. He takes a calm breathe and continues his search knowing that he can never allow one defeat to stop him like the other fools who are in this game.  He wouldn't allow himself to ever feel defeat like he had the day he let his friends down and let them pay the ultimate price. For being so scared and weak that he had ran leaving his scared frozen friends to their fate.

Once more Cassius looks over the field and sees none of these herbs the old NPC had mentioned were the materials he was looking for. However, he does spot the same boar family he had seen during his first time out here, and can see a target to vent after this quest if this continues to happen like this. Cassius had always hated fetch quests no matter what game it was that they were presented in. To take time out of the action to look for materials that had absolutely no meaning to him made him want to destroy his computer multiple times especially when it came to actual monster looting that had been the worse offender. To leave it up to random chance of finding the correct monsters, and then even more random chance of hoping to get the actual loot you are looking for being rather annoying on every level that it could be presented to him.

He walks through the fields in this spot looking for the materials of this red herb that was mentioned. He spots none once more after another few minutes of searching another spot thoroughly. He looks over to the boars and sees them more and more wanting to absolutely crush underneath his strikes. To direct his anger out on the things that just so happen to be nearby to receive all his annoyance and anger. He looks away knowing the longer he would look at the boars the more he would feel the compulsion to act on his annoyance to this quest as he is just reminded more and more each time why he despises fetch quests. With no bonus to actually find items he is left just hoping the games RNG will be nice enough to allow one of these herbs to spawn and for him to be the one to see such a thing. Cassius moves to a different area taking steps forward staying within the area, but a good couple feet away from where he had been originally looking.

Cassius looks around moving close to the ground and inspecting the flowers one by one till he spots what he is looking for. A herb that looks different then the rest, and as he picks the thing up the quest notifies him that he had received one of the quest items. he nods his head as that leaves four more left to find to actually accomplish this quest. He nods his head as he considers when he should try to find a good tailor for his weapons and armor. With his weapons being forced to choose a tailor since it is for martial arts, and then their is armor. Light armor being preferable since it can allow him get evasion to be able to dodge attacks rather then be a tank and just brunt through them. To increase his evasion will allow him to even the board with those who have accuracy would be nice, or if need be to even get an advantage if none of his opponents have accuracy.

As he inspects the field he find absolutely nothing once more as he just feels internal rage bubbling upwards, but he doesn't allow any of that to show on his face. If he had allowed such things it would mean he would be a failed actor, and if he was a failure at that it would mean he could be the one manipulated rather then the one manipulating if he isn't careful. Once he had calmed himself down he tries to think what would be the best tactic to face this problem. Clearly their must be a way to go about this to try and optimize his chances of finding materials. Games are meant to be exploited this one isn't any different assuming that Cardinal isn't sentient AI. If it was then this game surely won't be exploited, and if it does it won't last long do to Cardinal sensing it. With the system then changing those mechanics to be more balanced with other players leaving the one who broke the game to be weakened once more.

Cassius looks around the field once more and finds nothing as he then moves away once more as he is only reminded once more of how this is inspired by MMORPGs. Being quite familiar with memories of tapping over the map all over the place in different far off places to just fetch some materials. He can't wait to begin the second lesson to be able to kill weak little boar pups to loot them for his benefit. With just only the looting it is rather slow, and annoying to try and find a material over and over with no outlet for this annoyance. He walks along the field easily hiding his emotions and able to dispose of them rather qucikly making sure to keep the facade of being another little sheep who is happy and fine with this world. However, for those who wouldn't be prepared for his true side they would be jumped and taken by the snake in sheep's clothing. By allowing the snake to get close and taint them to his side to learn the true matters of this world and the real one.

He looks around the field hoping to find another material just to get some progress in this quest that seems like will be quite a trudge through annoyance to deal with. Looking at the field around him he spots another herb and picks it up adding it to his inventory as he nods his head to no one. Mentally adding the need for a LD+ item if he wishes to finish quests that require such things within a reasonable amount of time when compared to how it is now. Just having to hope he spots something when the game will wish him to do so. He goes over all the quests he knows, and sadly not one he can think of will offer a LD+ boost for any of the rewards they will offer him.

Cassius looks around as he wonders what to do in his spare time while actually gathering these materials. He already has things relatively planned out for the good foreseeable future already. Now it is waiting around for the tasks to be completed. He looks around the fields with a bored expression on his face, and can only wonder if something in this world would catch his interest for a long time. The mobs while they can be interesting last for a fleeting moment. Something more exciting like another player, or a potential person who would join him would catch his interest by having them at his side to get through the boredom of such quests like these.

Cassius makes his way through the fields and spots not a single herb to be seen, so he just makes his way once more to another part of the field in hopes that the quest materials for the herb would be around here instead of where he was searching. With each step he walked he wondered why did he have to do this? He is a fighter, and a strategist when it came to planning how he would wish for things to go. He is not some plant picker like this game is having the players do. He looks to the sky and wonders if it would be possible to run into a player that he could use for his own like a assistant of sorts? That would be particularly useful so he wouldn't have to be the one picking these pathetic plants and could do something actually useful like fighting mobs for entertainment, or even loot really once he got the correct enhancements to stand his ground of course.

As he searches the area for the quest material he finds himself frustrated once more at the lack of materials that were to be found in this area. He takes a deep breathe before exhaling slowly to calm himself down before he lets his emotions get the better of him. Cassius closes his eyes and focuses on his thought for a moment to block out the troubles of the real world for just a moment. Before the next quest he should take a visit to this Tailor he had heard about that is supposedly good at his craft. From what he can remember the man's name was Aereth, and the only information on him that his informants had was his profession, and that he man has killed people before. Something he already knew thanks to the monument, but the important part was that his cursor was still orange which means the man doesn't feel sorry for those he had hurt. That being interesting to hear, and make him quite interested to hear the story behind that if he could get it.

After thinking those thoughts he gazes upon the field and spots a herb just spawn in as he picks that up and the game once more notifies him he had picked up a quest item which he just rolls his eyes at the very obvious fact of that. He looks around the fields with a gaze of waiting to see if their are any to spot right after that one, and sadly their isn't another in sight right away. However, with how the game has been treating him in regards to collecting these things he should be lucky he even got another before the sun had set over the first floor of Aincrad. With that thought out of the way Cassius just observes the game for a little bit as he grins knowing their is much potential in everything. However, with the removal of quests, and the severe lack of them after the tenth floor it seems like actually gaining experience after the tenth floor will be a slow climb upwards if the Cardinal system doesn't change the quests that are on the other floors by some margin.

That is a interesting part of this game as a whole. Where other MMOs have so many quests that it would take a couple of lifetimes to complete. This one only has a good few that don't really take all that much time to accomplish from how he can understand it. It is a interesting choice by the Cardinal system or Kayaba depending on who is actually in charge of setting those things up. While he has no kindness for the man known as Kayaba Cassius can at least respect the man for his ambition. That Kayaba had built a world entirely from the ground upwards in a virtual reality game, and then had the guts to trap thousands of players in side. That fact alone is rather impressive, and can say a lot about the man known as Kayaba. With just the true amount of ambition, and courage Cassius just has to respect that man for having those two things in enough quantity to make this game, and to do what he did.

Cassius looks around the field once more in this area and spots another quest material and happily picks it up and adds it to his inventory alongside the other quest materials as he is now just one away from completing this quest.

With a quick gaze around the field he finds his last material and happily picks it up to get this done and over with. After finding the last material he turns his sights to the gate to the Town of Beginning in the distance and starts to make his way over to their. As he crosses through the field he starts to think of designs for his armor, and even the weapons. Since they have to be light armor that means he can't have like spikes on it from what he can tell, but he can at least have designs on whatever he decides to have his weapon wraps look like. Then their is the armor it has to be something light to allow greater range of movement. If that is the case then why not just design it as regular clothing with protection parts in it to actually serve its purpose.

With not really much gain on the design aspect of his armor Cassius enters the town of Beginnings as he quickly makes his way over to the nearest alleyway to escape the crowds that would just slow him down otherwise.

He makes his way through the dark alleyways and small side streets that are less traveled. Making his way peacefully over to the shop of Zachariah as he wonders if he should try to interact with another player just for the completion sake of some of these quests. However, if he did that he would have to deal with them, and all their flaws and ignorance that they have which would be rather annoying. However, for progress in his plans to have people at his side that is a necessary sacrifice on his part. Their is only the matter of knowing which quest he should "team up" with a person, and when should he do so. Those aspects being rather important in knowing how to go about that manner.  For if he approached them on his level he could be seen as a hindrance for whatever reason, or someone who they don't have to follow since their equal in strength. If he approaches while he is strong they would probably listen more, but he would then have the possibility of others running do to fear.

With those thoughts he finds himself in front of the shop of Zachariah when he checks the sky he can see the sun is setting and night is approaching. Which makes sense since he did two very big traveling around the town quests that then relied on luck rather heavily.

Cassius opens the door to the shop and sees the blacksmith once more relaxing this time instead of making his store''s stock of items that he could sell. When he opened the door the little bell rings as Zachariah looks over and see Cassius. Oh my boy i see that you came back! Well come on then i know you wouldn't come back without them materials. The old man says in a excited manner so Cassius just follows the man towards the back of his shop and is lead to the potion making process of things which he nods his head glad to get experience in this process now. Cassius follows the process down perfectly for the making of a potion. When the contents pour into the glass container Zachariah looks over it before exclaiming. This is perfect! My boy you have a talent in potion making! he says as he pats my back as i just nod my head with a small grin at having made a perfect on my first try. Only natural he supposes. It is nothing sir I just followed your advice and wisdom on how to make such a person. Cassius says in a humble tone to keep up the image he has. Oh nonsense, and where are my manners during all of this i didn't even introduce myself. The name is Zachariah. The NPC zachariah says as i nod my head. Nice to meet you sir the name is Mars. He responds back, and waits for the second quest to start.

Oh i know you just helped me but could you deliver this to my friend Lyle please, and don't worry it is not from nothing from old Zachariah. The NPC says as he hands me some items that go into my inventory that i can see are healing items, and such. With a nod of my head i take the package that gets added into my inventory. Don't worry sir it is nothing. I'll be on my way now. Cassius says with a wave before making his way out of the shop and towards this blacksmith. Already knowing where he is without directions given to him by Zachariah. Knowing his informants had told him where he would be, so without difficulty Cassius travels to their without any hindrance besides the crowds that are blocking him from efficiently making his way over to the shop in the quickest way possible. he looks at all the happy players then ignores them knowing they are not worth his attention since they don't have anything to be proud of within this game. Only those on the frontlines can be proud of how far they had made it, and do to the fact they thought true life and death battles unlike the players who are trying to reach their.
