[SP-F2] <<Let There Be Light>> A light in the dark

As Kimi was walking through some woods on the second floor looking for some materials. She spotted in the distance an female NPC frantically pacing back and forth on the road. Kimi was curious and moved closer to see whats the problem. Kimi approached and said. "What seems to be the matter?" At this moment the NPC finally took notice of Kimi. "My Child have you seen my child?! She was playing near a cavern here with a friend when they both got attack by monsters. The friend managed to get away, but i haven't been able to find my child." "I can help you find her, but i need you to point me in the direction of the cave." Kimi said strongly to reassure the NPC. She then explains that down the road there will be a clearing of trees to the right and if she would go through there Kimi will reach the cavern.

With that said Kimi accepted the quest and went off. It was long until she arrived at the forest clearing. The directions that the NPC gave really helped, but from here on out she just had to move forward. It was a clear sunny day with a light breeze that could be felt constantly in the forest clearing. As Kimi traversed the dirt path towards the cavern she noticed footprints from time to time, but they were all over the place. None of it she could use, but all of them did lead further into the clearing. As Kimi reached the end she could barely make out a mound of rocks and dirt that had a hole slightly protruding the ground at an angle. "This must be it... This looks pretty dangerous, imma just get a warm-up fight going first before i go in." Kimi said to herself examining the cavern from a distance.

As she said that Kimi proceeded to pull out one of her items she crafted and began playing its recording. Soon the whole forest was echoing with the sound of music from it. From the distance Kimi could hear rustling coming closer and closer. Out from the shrubbery came two boars both we're entranced by the music playing and didn't notice Kimi yet or to the very least didn't want to attack just yet. As soon as the music stopped and the boars snapped out of it. They flew into a rage with eyes glowing red and carving their foot into the ground. This was perfect for Kimi as she just got her a new pair of armor and wanted to test it out. Hopefully in this fight or the fights to come she can get something new to get identified. The armor she had now she gained by getting some of her loot identified so she was more than excited.

Without hesitation Kimi ran up the them and put all her energy into her arms and said under her breath "Aggressive Twins" As she rushed to attack both with relentless assault of flurrying punches. As she came to attack both one of the boars was caught as Kimi more focused opponent and took on the brunt of the attack. She didn't hold back for a second as she wanted to deal as much damage as possible and as fast as possible. For the other boar, it managed to dodge a few of the jabs but only barely by the skin of its tusks. As Kimi sent them back she followed suit and recovered saying to herself. "Damn really thought i could hit the other one more with that attack. Guess ill have to try harder next time." Kimi was eyeing the hurt boar as she thought fighting a two versus one is unfavorable.

Kimi went on to try and rush again with as much strength as she could bring up "Aggressive Twins". She focused mostly on hurting the boar she was attacking head on before and dealt a massive amount of damage. As for the second boar Kimi couldn't get a constant stream of jabs towards him because she focused more on the other boar, but this time the boar got a chance to strike back. While Kimi was nearing the end of her combination of attacks, the boar got a solid tackle. This would've been good for the boar if it weren't for Kimis' new armor. The boar actually did more damage to itself than to Kimi and it was plain obvious that it regretted that decision. "Ha! Hurts doesn't it." Kimi said taunting the boar that shoved her. The two boars were looking like they are in a very miserable state. They were bloodied and bruised, but that didn't stop them from standing their ground.

Kimi made a offensive stance as she focused a lot of her energy into her arms once more and rushed both of the boars. For Kimi her focus was to end the misery of the boar shes been focusing the whole time. As she came on the first boar like a hammer it slowly started to look lifeless and she let the rest of her combination fall upon the second boar. While she was fighting the second boar the first turned to pixels and vanished. Kimi smirked as this fight was turning out very strongly in her favor. While Kimi was distracted the boar she was letting the rest of her attack hit rammed Kimi when she was open. This knocked her back to a tree, she felt the hit, but it wasn't something too big. She thought that when the boar rammed her it would die from the spiked she had on her armor, but the boar completely ignored it.

Now Kimi was just one on one with the second boar. With the first boar gone rage consumed the eyes of the beast and it charged recklessly towards Kimi. It disregarded the wound it had and gave it all it had to hurt Kimi as she stood there recovering from some loss of breath after constantly attacking. As it came Kimi just managed to dodge, but she couldn't retaliate or counter because she was short of breath. Kimi retreated back a little bit just to gain some distance as she recovered. Once the boar passed her it realized it missed completely and stopped. The boar seemed as if it had no intention of stopping, but the wounds that it had forced to boar stop as of the moment. The two now were catching their breath. Kimi knew that the next hit would make her win even if the boar were to land a hit, it would only be killing itself.

When the two of them finally caught their breath Kimi charged, but the boar did also. As the came near, the boar prepared its tusks to pierce Kimi, but Kimi hopped and landed a solid punch. The punch barely touched the hide of the boar, but it did the job. The second boar has fallen and Kimi was victorious. She sat down and watched as the second boar began to fade into the void of the game and vanish just like its partner. Kimi took a deep breath and let out a heavy sigh "Whew... That was some fight.. I can't believe i destroyed the first boar without really breaking a sweat. The second one though, Man did it give me a good warm-up." Kimi sat a little while longer. "Now for the task at hand, but before that im going to take a quick breather."  Kimi stared into the entrance of the cavern from a safe distance, while she had her back against a tree resting. She was trying to figure out what attack the NPC child and if its in there with her.

Kimi didn't want to spend her time resting doing nothing so she went on to look inside the cavern. The cavern was musty, moist, and very dark. Almost nothing could be seen, but there was still some light from cracks in the boulders above her and also the light from the cave entrance. Kimi wasn't a fan of the dark, but she had to push forward. As she slowly inched her way inside small crackles of noise could be heard coming from inside. "Probably some bats, hopefully this game doesn't give jump scares." Kimi was a good distance inside the cave when she heard soft crying. "Hello?!" Kimi said as she raised her voice in the dark "Is someone there?!" As Kimi raised her voice a bat from above her came down to attack. Luckily despite it being dark Kimi managed to dodge, but she also got a good high kick in while she performed it.

"Almost got me there." Kimi said gloating. As she prepared to attack she could barely see the bad. The only times she can catch a glimpse of it is when it stays still. Still though she had to try even if she was at a disadvantage. "Well? You started it, Come at me!" She said trying to provoke the bat. Kimi knew she had to rely on her other senses like hearing. The bats wings made a faint, but audible flap as it circled Kimi. As the bat came to attack, Kimi wasn't fully prepared and got scratched, but as the bat tried to escape after it attacked. Kimi got a good hit on it making the bat screech. Kimi still wasn't adjusted to fighting in the dark and it seemed it would take more than just one fight to adapt. "Come on then! Keep at it!" Kimi could only provoke the bat so she can get a counter, but only really after getting hit.

The bat without hesitation came down again. It seemed the provoking worked, or it was just a hyper type of enemy. This is the first time Kimi has fought a Giant Bat, and also fighting in a disadvantageous area. As the bat attacked Kimi, she unluckily took a misstep and tripped. The uneven ground of the cave plus lack of vision really did a number on Kimi. As she was busy thinking about how bad she was at a disadvantage the bat got a good long swipe at her back. "The hell!" Kimi yelled as that hit really left a tingle sensation running throughout her back. The bat let out a screech of satisfaction as it hit Kimi. For Kimi on the other hand, she took her time picking herself up. She was making sure she wouldn't fall once more and give the Giant Bat another free hit. "That was just a handicap." She said into the darkness.

When Kimi finally picked herself up. She was slightly uneasy because she knew she might end up falling again. As the Giant Bat screech echoed and died. The Giant Bat once again came down without leaving any room for recovery. As it came down Kimi heard it and prepared to go into a defensive stance and take the brunt of the damage. As she adjusted her standing Kimi tripped again, but this time it was due to something beneath her moving. Luckily for her, the giant bat completely missed and flew over her head. When that happened she went to see what tripped her. As she was still picking herself up Kimis' hand accidentally combed over the thing that tripped her. She picked it up to get a closer look, and from that closer inspection she realized it was a childs shoe. "This must be where the child of that NPC went i'm sure of it" Kimi thought to herself.

For now Kimi didn't have the time to check for where the child has gone with the Giant Bat keeping her busy. As she picked herself up her eyes were slowly adjusting to the dark, but it wasn't good enough to really call it seeing. Eventually she made her balanced herself again just to be sure not to fall like before. This time she was sure the floor was clear of obstacles except the unevenness of it. Again the Giant Bat attacked without leaving any room to do anything, but this time it seemed the bat was blind. As it swooped down to attack Kimi it hit its wing on some rocks protruding the cavern walls and the Giant Bat fell. Kimi sought this as an opportunity to attack, but sadly she couldn't make heads or tails where the bat fell. Thus she couldn't reap the benefits of the Giant Bats' misfortune.

The two fighting were really making a ridiculous battle scene if this could still be considered one. Not much fighting was going on as Kimi tripped and the Giant Bat fell. It wasn't long until the Giant Bat recovered and made its way to Kimi to attack. Kimi was completely unaware that the Giant Bat picked itself up and was headed her way to attack. As the Giant Bat came it was too late for Kimi. She got tackled by the bat hand and was sent to the cavern floor. This wasn't for nothing, Kimi really hopped that the spikes of her armor would pay off and it just so happen to do something. From the sound of the flapping the Giant Bat was doing. Kimi could already tell it was about fairly heavily wounded and can finally be defeated soon. "Come on out and fight me!" Kimi yelled at the bat causing the cavern to echo slightly.

Kimi believed the Giant Bat started to feel the error in its ways through taking damage from tackling her. Kimi could tell because what was a opponent that never hesitated to attack her started to slow down. Not only that, but the confident screeches it made after constant attacks stopped. When the Giant Bat stopped moving Kimi was finally able to identify where it was and tried to go for an attack. As she approached the Giant Bat, it didn't move thinking that its opponent couldn't see it. That was all wrong as Kimi landed a solid hit on the unaware Giant Bat. This attack launched the Giant Bat because it had its guard down and wasn't prepared at all for it. Kimi felt very confident in trying to attack the Giant Bat now that it was hurt and she was the attacker this time. "Ha! I got you know" She said full of confidence.

As the Giant Bat flew from Kimis' fist to the ground it let out a painful howl. With that Kimi knew that any more confrontations now will end this Giant Bat. Kimi could hardly tell where the Giant Bat landed. As she was searching for it once again like she had before. The Giant Bat suddenly came up and tried to attack from behind. The Giant Bat wasn't stealthy at all because of his heavy wounds forcing him to flap his wings harder. As the Giant Bat came towards Kimi thinking it was stealthy. Kimi struck the Giant Bat down without hesitation and even managed to dodge the Giant Bats' attack along the way. "Think you can surprise me now? I'll end you soon you hear!" Kimi said taunting the Giant Bat. Though most would see Kimi as being a ass towards her enemy. This was mainly a tactic she normally used in MOBA's shes played before to get under the skin of her opponents making them not perform as well.

As Kimi and the Giant Bat tried to recover from the last hit. Kimi thought it would be best to try attacking again while the Giant Bat was still tired. Even though Kimi was out of breath and fairly tired she wanted to at least keep the Giant Bat from resting even if it was going to make Kimi tired than she already was. As she came closer to attack the Giant Bat managed to dodge. This made Kimi nearly trip and she had to catch herself, but as she did the Giant Bat attempted to return the favor. The Giant Bat was quick to react to Kimis attack and even quicker as Kimi nearly lost her footing. From the corner of Kimis' eye she saw the Giant Bat coming, but she was able to dodge fairly easily. "Haaaa... This fight is really slowing down." Kimi thought as she was able to recover from her quick actions. "I really need to end this soon so i can get back to finding the kid."

While Kimi made some distance away from the Giant Bat to recover. Without Kimi knowing the Giant Bat was actually going to make a move on her. With the dark being all around and Kimi having to rely mostly on other senses. Kimi would barely keep focus on recovering with the Giant Bat around. As Kimi scanned the cavern for the Giant Bat she was tackled in the back by it. She didn't expect this at all because she didn't hear the heavy flapping of the annoying beast. Good thing for her though, with the armor she possessed. Having the Giant Bat attack and actually landing a hit was a good thing because the thorns caused a decent amount of damage. It seemed that the Giant Bat didn't care too much whether or not it got damage from hitting. Somehow it needed to find a way to hurt Kimi even if it meant for itself to get hurt along the way. "You really believe you can keep that up?" Kimi said while giving a small chuckle.

After making a safe distance between the Giant Bat and herself. Kimi still went on to taunt her enemy in order to get a possible "free hit". "Come on lets keep going. Im not done yet" Kimi said towards her opponent. The Giant Bat was very hesitant at attacking because it was just about to collapse. It even couldn't fly properly before and had to take breaks on the ground to just recover from being in the air for a few seconds. "Now is the time to strike. Best i end this quick." Kimi thought to herself. She didn't want to delay searching for the missing child because in this cave there might be more Giant Bats waiting to attack the kid. 

As she began charging towards the Giant Bat preparing to give it one last hit. Kimi miss stepped and just barely missed the bat. With a little bit of effort the Giant Bat dodged Kimis punch, but was unable to retaliate.

Kimi saw a window of opportunity as the Giant Bat was staggering from Kimis previous attack. She quickly followed up her failed attack with another punch towards the newly relocated Giant Bat and landed the hit. "Thank god, Finally got a hit on you! Man you were annoying to get to in the dark." Kimi exclaimed as she let out a very satisfying and deserved sigh. Kimi thought it would be best to rest for a bit before traversing any longer in the cavern. As soon as she looked back at where the Giant Bat has been slain, it was already faded into pixels and gone. All that was left to do was continue looking for the missing NPC child. "Hopefully i can find her soon, but i'd best just get rested a bit first before that." Kimi thought to herself. The fight with that Giant Bat really did a number on her, especially since she didn't rest before hand.
