History (歴史)

       Kaito Saruwatari, A Kid Genius, according to the schools.  Without even trying he aced every school exam ever given to him, but always found something missing in his life  Even though he was living with his little sister, he found himself sinking into depression, and began playing online video games about four years prior to the release of SAO;  As time went on, it became clear that his little sister, Suzu, was taking care of him, rather than the other way around.  When the Nervegear came out, Suzu made sure Kaito got one, and encouraged him to try and get a Beta Tester ticket.  In the end, he didn't become a Beta Tester, but he was friends with one, thus allowing him to know somewhat how the game works.  He got stuck in SAO while his sister was gone over to a friend's house, however she kept a close eye on him, and quickly went home and rushed him to the ER when she found out that the SAO players were stuck in the game.

       Suzu, Kaito's sister, has always been his only reason for survival.  She's nice, strong, and not quite as easygoing as Kaito.  When she first got the Nervegear for him, she read up on the specs for the hardware and software.  She may have been one of the first to notice that the Nervegear headset was powerful enough to emit a high frequency electromagnetic pulse, being nearly as smart as Kaito, she quickly figured out that it was a death sentence to use it.  If someone was stupid enough to program such a thing into it.  She always knew more than she let on, and was the first to figure out what was wrong when he got upset.  He owed her with more than his life.  Kaito knew from the beginning of the Game, he had to get back to the real world...for Suzu's sake.

Virtues　(美徳)

1 | 一：　Persistence   (持続性)

When he finds something of a particular interest to himself, he is able to persist until he reaches his goal.  This trait may even grow strong enough to allow him to persist a short time after death, if he really wants something done.

2 | 二：　Fairness  (公正さ)

No matter what, everything has to be fair.  Saraito will take Justice into his own hands if he feels that someone is being taken advantage of in some way.  As such, he would rather die, than forsake his part of a deal.

3 | 三：　Appreciation of Beauty  (美容鑑賞)

Even in a virtual world, the world is beautiful.  Saraito knows this, and is able to appreciate it, thus making it unlikely that he'll do anything in the Dungeon if the weather is nice.

Flaws　(欠陥)

1 | 一：　Brazen　(厚かましい)

He's brash, daring...always doing the thing you least expect.  In a lot of cases, this may cause him to end up in a near death experience.  He'll need friends in order to calm this side of him down.

2 | 二：　Foolish　(愚かな)

Many times playing the fool, Saraito will go after something if he feels it's the right thing to do.  Even if it's logically impossible or deadly to do so.

3 | 三：　Lazy　(レイジ－)

It takes a lot to get him to do anything, he's lazy, and won't do anything if he can help it.  His favorite thing to do may be fighting, but he still loves to sneak in a nap whenever he gets a chance.
