F7|R7 Blacksmith| <<The Dragon's Flame>>|PK Accessable | Open

Recommended Posts

Bismuth had spent the last two years in Aincrad practicing and studying the system, learning how to make use of everything that it had to offer for him, now it was finally time that he put all of that practice and theory to the test. And with that he needed a real weapon, not just the wooden sword he had been using to practice with, something small and light. After some asking around Bismuth heard of the blacksmith on the third floor just an hour outside of the floors main city Nimbus.

It was cold on the mountain top that the blacksmith Vigilon had made his shop on, but after too much walking through the cold Bismuth found the partially hidden shop embedded in the peak of the mountain, the building, and heat bound to be inside was a welcome sight. Bismuth opened the thick door, and stepped inside letting the door close behind him with a heavy thud. "Sure is cold outside" Bismuth put his hands against his mouth and breathed into them hoping the heat would permeate his hands, looking around the shop, Bismuth wasn't exactly surprised by the interior, a big stone antechamber covered in dragon motifs and torches, I guess that's what gave it the name Dragon's flame. "Is there anyone here?" Bismuth called out taking a few steps towards the counter that split the large room in part. "Welcome to The Dragon's Flame! You looking to protect yourself, or deal some damage?" Bismuth looked to where the voice came from "Looking to deal damage actually, Do you think you could help me out?"

Item name: Ketsushouken

Item type: T1 Dagger

Quality: Perfect

Enhancement(s): 2 bleed, 1 damage

Description: Ketsushouken, translated to bloody moon blade, is an eight inch dagger with a slight cure to it. The blade itself is a crimson red color, one that always brings the thought of blood into the minds of those who look at it. Meeting the blade is a hilt wrapped in leather that is almost as black as the night sky, adorned with the image of a crescent moon where the blade meets the hilt. It is said that Ketsushouken has the power to slice through anything even the moon itself, if the stories are be to believed.

Just another day, right?

Wrong.

And in a very good way this time.

Vigilon finished up maintenance on the forge just in time for someone to enter the shop. He greeted the customer as he usually did, but it was moments like this when he felt like an NPC.

To be fair, he did kind of copy the words of an NPC from a game he once played...

The player explained what he needed and asked if Vigilon could help out. "Sure, I can handle that. Just a moment, if you will."

Vigilon started up his forge and got to work. He ended up salvaging the first attempt, but after that he'd gotten nothing but results. One Dagger came out as the average sharp blade, while the other was a bit sharper. He then managed to forge the item the player needed. He looked it over once or twice before confirming this is what was needed. After preparing it through a grindstone he'd recently gotten, he brought the weapon over to the counter. "One Perfect Dagger, ready to go. The cost will be about 700 col."

Once that transaction was complete, he decided to try forging two more items. He'd lost a bet some time ago with his two rivals, so he'd be trying to forge copies of one rival's armor and the other rival's weapon. Only one of the two weapons could be copied with his forging, so he already knew what he would be attempting to make. He picked up the precious metal ingots he needed and started up the forge again.

He managed to make both items first try. He forged Auranika's armor and Ind0minus's weapon.

He stared at his successful work for about five minutes before preparing to put them on the shelves...along with the other many items he'd forgotten to put in his stock. Might as well organize his shop early tomorrow morning.

Bismuth was glad to see that the shop that Vigilon ran in the mountains seemed to be as legit as people had said it was. Looking through all of the ready to buy equipment along the walls, Bismuth could tell that he was a very good blacksmith, and that his money would be well spent. Normally Bismuth would have been very interested in watching the blacksmith work, but something else in the shop had garnered his full attention. On the far side of the counter there sat a small white dragon, something that, with him being new to the outside of the beginner village, Bismuth had never seen before.

Only a few minutes had passed when Bismuth was alerted to his piece of equipment being completed by Vigilon walking back to the counter, the long dagger he had requested in hand. Taking the dagger from the blacksmith, Bismuth looked it over with a calculating gaze, testing the balance of the weapon with a few practice swings, it seemed to indeed be a perfect weapon. Bismuth dropped the 700 col off onto the counter with a small thud "I am glad to see that people were not wrong to recommend me to you, this craftmanship is impeccable, I hope to see you again for later forging." Bismuth took this as his que to leave, sheathing the dagger onto the sheathe that he had strapped to the back of his hips. The outside seemed to be colder than he had remembered it being, and Bismuth had a long walk ahead of him.

Do to the issue of not having actual good armor anymore, Row was walking around the different floors looking for places that was opened. The place she original got her armor from like completely vanished. So now she needed new partners and trusted people. Plus, her strategy relied on not dying so being able to die quicker was sort of horrible. It was in the middle of this life crisis that the girl came across an open blacksmith shop on floor 7. "The Dragon's Flame" it was a bit gaudy but she shrugged her shoulders and walked in. They did not really have anything good that she could use but they at least had something that looked better than her current armor. It was Tier 2 and had mit. Since tier 2 gear gave like double the resistance of Tier 1 stuff, that mean it was probably 2 times better than her currently armor. If only it wasn't a rare. With a sigh, she tried to call out to the owner.
"Yelloooooow. Anyone home? Wish to procure this Reinforce Chestplate with the mit and regen enhancements Please. I have the 4 mats for the purchase. Also are you taking request? I was looking for perfect T2 Heavy armor with 3 slots of Mit"

[Day 31] [7/9/2022]

Another day, another Order.

A new face he hadn't seen before came into his shop, requesting two items. One from stock, and one custom order. "I'll get right on it." Vigilon answered.

New tactics for forging always came with complications. As innovative as Vigilon tried to be, trying new things while having a particular substance in the fiery areas in the forge did have great risks. "Wait...that smell....Aw, crap, not agai-"

*Booosssssshhhhh!!!!*

So much for a good first impression, he'd lost a material to the fiery explosion, to boot. Looks like it was time to fix and clean up the forge again... "Guuuuuuhhhhhhh....I really need to find better ways around this...those <<Fire Salts>> aren't exactly cheap..." He grumbled to himself as he repaired the forge before cleaning it.

Until he could find a safer alternative, this is what he was stuck working with. He was always trying to find better ways to run the forge, so of course, there was always the risk of improper handling of that substance within the forge during the process...maybe he should stop trying to find efficiency shortcuts and stick with what he had for the time being. With the Forge back up and running once more, he returned to Crafting. He made some armor, though it didn't exactly fit the requirements. He then failed to salvage another attempt...and then...

Suddenly his luck had struck gold. He proceeded to make the item that was requested, as well as two other Perfect Quality items that he was sure someone might have use for one day. "Phew...well, at least it all turned out ok." He remarked. Veriost, the small white frost dragon, would then fly over to aggressively cool Vigilon down...in her usual method, which was blasting his face with her frost breath. "YYYEEEAAAAGGGHHHH, Cold, cold, cold!!!"

At last, he picked up the item that fit the requirements for the order, and set it down on the counter in front of the customer. "I don't think you'll be needing that other equipment if you get this....unless you intend to gift it to someone else, that is." He said to the girl. "This'll be about 1400 col or 7 materials, whichever price works for you."

"Thank you sempai. You would not believe the day I had. Its like I feel like I been asleep and dreaming for so long. But I guess I just don't know the game like I use too." The girl let out a laugh as the man walked away. Then there was a loud explosion. The girl's smile dropped wondering if this was a safe place or if this man knew what he was doing. She was not going to pay for terrible equipment. Her dream, her hopes to get out of the game required the best of the best stuff. After some time, the man came back with some nice T2 Heavy armor. "Oh wonderful! Now I can go exploring again without fear of death." He was right with this, she did not need the rare equipment no more. She placed the 7 mats on the table to trade and took the armor. "Hope we can do business again sempai!"

It had took Akiko some time, two years actually, to leave the town of beginning, she now had earned enough money to afford a armour and a shield she had in mind for some time. After she had looked around a little for some blacksmiths in the arear she found one that looked promising, even thought she had to go up to the seventh floor to place her order.

As she exited the portal she looked around nervously, silently recalling the way to the shop and after a deep breath she started her journey up to "The Dragon's Flame"
In front of the shop the view downhill was beautiful and with another deep breath she turned around and opened the door.

The voice of the shop keeper greeted her friendly. "I would like to get something to protect me better" Akiko replied softly "I was thinking about a heavy armour and a fitting shield to hold everything that could hurt someone away and protect others"

OOC: I was thinking about something like that (pictures) if it is possible, but if not it is also okay :)

[Day 34] [10/13/2022]

Vigilon knew he'd have a lot to do. First he'd have to make sure stock was all well and good, possibly make some fusions on any duplicates(once the parts for his in-progress "Fusion Forge" arrive, that is), and then get back to forging more gear.

Soon he heard someone come in, it was a young woman who looked kind of reserved. After Vigilon asked her what she needed, she softly asked if he could forge her some defensive gear, befitting of a tank, as Vigilon could guess with the words she had spoken. "I see...Alright then, I'll get on it."

After failing to salvage one attempt, he proceeded to make three standard sets of armor that will probably end up as fusion fodder, before managing to craft the ordered Armor. The shield, however...came out as an uncommon, so he'd need to take his time if he was going full perfect on both ordered items.

"This might take some time, unless you're content with what I've already made." He noted to the customer.

[Day 35] [10/14/2022]

As soon as he had the chance, Vigilon got back to forging. Three probable fusion fodder crafts later, he made a rare shield before managing to craft up a perfect. He tried one more craft for good measure, but ended up salvaging it instead. Such is life, he supposed...at least he didn't screw up on the forge's maintenance and get blasted by a fiery explosion again this time...that kind of stuff was really bad for first impressions.

He would bring the two perfect quality crafts over to the counter. "There we go, two perfect quality defensive equipment, Night's Mantle and Night's Guard, as they seem to be named. The cost comes to about 1400 col, or 14 materials, whichever works best for you." He explained to the customer. It was nice to know there might be another budding tank joining the playerbase...Lord knows they'd need some good friends they can count on.

Kylissia had been needing to get outside the starting zone for some time now, but she would need some equipment first. Problem was, however, she couldn't find many available Blacksmiths within the Town of Beginnings, leaving her to seek out other ways to get some gear for herself. She was able to convince someone to escort her to a rumored blacksmith said to be on the seventh floor, so she at least had that going for her.

Upon arrival, she would take a look around, before being greeted by the shopkeep. There were plenty of players who had become blacksmiths, but she'd never seen a male blacksmith as short as this one seemed to be. He must be young, but judging by the way he carried himself, he seemed to be experienced enough, and probably an adult at this point in time.

Upon the question the shopkeeper would ask, Kylissia would respond with, "Both, of course."

She would then place two of the items that were in stock onto the counter, along with the required payment. She kept her gaze towards the young man, as though she was sizing him up in a subtle manner. Not that she was, of course, though she could have started sizing him up while leaving variables within the thought process due to a lack of knowledge on him.

Once the transaction was complete, it was time to leave. "Thanks for the quality equipment, it'll be a great help. Take care, now."

Now, how to handle returning to the Town of Beginnings...

-Purchasing White Blade(3 Damage) and Radiant Armor(2 Mit, 1 Thorns)

-Total cost of 1400 col sent to Vigilon

There weren't many blacksmiths out there that were currently open in time for the current situation, so Yona would need to go to someone she knew(well, sort of knew). Yona made her way to the seventh floor, where Vigilon's shop was located. It was a half-hour walk to reach the place, but there wasn't anything that Yona couldn't handle along the way.

When she arrived, she took a look around to see what was in stock. There were some pretty good things, as well as a bunch of junk that the guy probably didn't know what to do with. Yona had also heard rumors that a player had been missing for some time, and that said player was fairly new to being outside the safe zone...so, maybe she might as well get a few other things while she was here, pick a weapon or two at random.

She found a Falchion in stock and considered buying this one for herself, then she thought for a moment, considered her options, then picked up two axes in case there was someone she knew who'd needed them...and if not? Maybe she could sell them off to some other sucker. She placed the items on the counter, ready to make the transaction.

"I'll be getting these, here's some things you can use in your crafting." She stated, placing the material payment on the counter before leaving with the equipment.

-Purchasing Resplendent Falchion(Accuracy, Bleed, Paralyze), Slayer Axe(3 Damage), and Elgryn(Accuracy, 2 Bleed)

-Total cost of 21 Mats paid to Vigilon

Almina really wanted to get started, but she needed equipment first. She'd heard about a Blacksmith on the seventh floor who had recently proven themselves reliable with orders of various kinds.

Upon reaching the beginning of the path to the shop, it would seem that someone had been clearing the path, as the journey there was surprisingly safe. Of course, since it was a half-hour walk to the apparently isolated locale, Almina would need to watch her footing.

Reaching the shop was one thing, then she noticed that it was a fair height, nice place to get a mild view of the surrounding area. Sure, it was no summit that allowed an incredible sight of the entire floor, but it was something, at least.

Entering the shop, Almina would see plenty of equipment, some good, some fair, some that was too powerful for her to use...and a sword that was just the right size, style and weight for Almina to use. If this was back in the real world, back when Almina had to avoid everything, she would have ignored it.

But this was an opportunity and she was gonna take it. Therefore, she would take the blade up to the counter, place the col payment onto the counter, and leave with the new weapon when the transaction was finished.

-Purchasing White Blade(3 DMG)

-700 Col paid to @Vigilon

Wandering into the shop, Nari couldn't help but feel an appreciation for the memories that the place brought up. The heat of the forge warming the room, the sound of metal on metal, even the smell of the place rushed over her - and for a moment, she felt herself transported back to those times she used to spend swinging her hammer against the piece she was working on, the joy of the entire experience bringing her delight in the simplicity of it all.

Uhm, excuse me! I was hoping to place an order, if you've got the time and availability. It's nothing too complex - I hope. She pulled out a sketch of the piece she was hoping to have created for her. It was something that she had been toying with for a while, but as she handed it over, she felt her apprehension rise up again. She tried to shake off the feeling, but the voice in her head wouldn't let it go. New steps...need to move on, move forward.

Oh, uhm...and if you're interested...I'm looking to get rid of a few pieces here - although I understand if you don't want them either. She pulled out the spear, armour and shield, providing them for inspection before smiling at the man behind the counter.

Stuff had been selling a bit more often lately. Maybe word was getting around? Maybe it was finally getting safer to reach this location, in which staying on the road wouldn't draw any aggro?

Whatever the case, it was good, especially for business.

And now another customer had walked in. She would request a custom order...and be willing to give three items free of charge if Vigilon was willing to accept them??

Vigilon's eyes widened as he looked over the items and their stats. "You add these to the deal, you won't need to pay a single Col. Heck, I should be paying you at least a little, if you're really just giving all three."

Three items, two of them carrying uniques. This was an unexpected deal, but hey, he wasn't going to pass up on this opportunity if it was actually happening.

So he went to work straight away.

An Uncommon, a Rare, and a Perfect, in that order specifically. Who knew? The Perfect item he'd crafted was just what the customer ordered, so, that turned out pretty easy. He made a sword too, but it wasn't exactly noteworthy.

He would return to the customer with the ordered item. "Right, here you go, a Tier 4 Perfect Quality Scythe. If you're serious about giving those other three items to me, know that you won't have to pay me for this item."

Nari glanced over the piece, admiring the beauty and simplicity of it. It was almost exactly what she had envisioned when she'd first begun the creative process. Smiling at the man behind the counter, she nodded her thanks. This is perfect, and yeah - I'm absolutely serious about the trade. Consider the three pieces yours, to keep. Thank you - for this. It's beautiful, and a piece that you should be proud of, a true attestation to craftsmanship.

She placed the spear, armour and shield on the countertop before bringing up the trade menu to send them off. At the same time, she added on a collection of materials for crafting that she had stored away, smiling again at the blacksmith. And...consider this an extra thank you, for your work.

Collecting the scythe, she made her way out of the storefront and back in the direction she had originally intended before her sidetrack bringing her to the smithery, her new scythe held behind her in a comfortable grip.
