Mars 0 Posted February 27, 2018 Author #41 Share Posted February 27, 2018 (edited) He glares at the king as he lets All Might cover over his body once more as he jumps at the king once more as it is frozen as he punches the Treant King the person shattering entirely as the Treant King stands no more as he lands upon the ground. Glancing over towards Pinball with a calm and collective look. Two kings have died this day for our story in Aincrad. A justified war has taken place where both sides have lost equally. King's are dead and chaos will probably soon follow after. Both sides most likely going to spawn to try and kill us to make us pay for killing their kings after they are able to recollect better. Now then lets go and get that fishing grind, or loot mob grind like you suggested when we went into this. He says calmly to his rival not having any remorse or guilt about what he just did today. #97285 BD:2+4=6 150-75=75 +12 frozen damage 87 DMG -Players- [H:0] Mars: 420/420 HP | 40/42 EN | 3 EVA | 3 ACC | 1 Svy | 2 Rgn | 10 DMG [H:2] Pinball: 440/440 HP | 12/44 EN | 3 EVA | 3 ACC | 8 DMG Enemy: [Frozen] Treant King: 0/150 75 MIT 25 DMG Edited February 27, 2018 by Mars
Pinball 1 Posted February 28, 2018 #42 Share Posted February 28, 2018 "My home..." Those were the last words of the Treant King, before he shattered and was no more. Pinball stood aside, his heart sinking in his chest. He knew then, that no matter what side he chose, he would have ended up like this. With the enemy dead, Pinball victorious, and his heart shattering like the body of the monster. He placed a hand on his face, covering an eye. He was soft, and he hated it. It wasn't something that had to be done. It had been something that he had taken into his own mind that had to be done. He shook his head, his eyes locked on to the spot where the King had died. Fireflies floated in the air, as if nothing had happened. He'll just respawn, and the fight will continue. Mars' voice snapped him out of his trance. His head shaky, Pinball nodded. "Yeah... that's... that's a good idea. Let's do that." Without another word, Pinball turned, pushing back through the path the Treant King had created for them. "We need to get outta here quick, before the other mobs get wind of what happen."
Mars 0 Posted February 28, 2018 Author #43 Share Posted February 28, 2018 He nods his head with a grin on his face and follows after you at whatever pace that you set. Taking note of the hesitation knowing for certain that this quest has shaken up his rival in some manner or the other. It will be certainly interesting to see how well this quest impacts him further down the line if at all. He grins a bit at such thoughts knowing that this game could serve as one of the greatest psychological experiments upon such a wide range of people that you could have all the data in the world to know how people react in this environment. He grins and decides that he should use this game for just that while he is still able to do so. Test various experiments on different players of different types and see what he can observe of how players act, and how they let this game warp their perception of their time within here. Pinball 1 Posted March 1, 2018 #44 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Pinball pushed through the leaves and bushes, taking the long route so as to avoid both the elves and the treants; for they would find neither to be friendly. After what seemed like at least half an hour of rushing through the forest, they finally made it back to the starting town. Pinball hadn't spoken the entire walk, instead opting to keep to himself and try to steady his thoughts. There was an overwhelming sense of guilt hanging over his being, and he found that no amount of rough words would make the feeling stop. Pinball shifted tactics. Instead of trying to bully himself into accepting it, he'd just try to change focus and forget about it completely. He checked his level. "So, we're going to be hitting Tier Two soon." He stopped walking in front of the teleporter. "Does, uhh, does Floor 11 sound good? We can fight a few things, and if you really wanna, we can fish in between fights. It'll be pretty fun, and maybe we can pick up a few weapon or armor drops or something from those mobs." He quickly checked his inventory, mumbling to himself. "A shame I didn't bring any prosperity stuff, though.."
Mars 0 Posted March 1, 2018 Author #45 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Well personally i would be fine with killing monsters exclusively since we can get guaranteed lots of COL for ourselves. The need for materials not that great for either of us since we only really need one item, or in your case none since you have that weapon, and then your Accuracy, and evasion enhancements. You're basically set for the rest of the game. he tells his rival as they walk along within the town as they head towards the teleport gate to get towards the town of Taft. Well even if we don't have lots of prosperity things Pinball i am sure we will make a profit anyhow as long as we focus upon killing the enemies that come towards us, and showing them no mercy like we usually do. Even if such enemies happen to be weird ones with nicknames like your usually fishing ones are. he says in a calm tone of voice as he gets close towards the gate, and says the name of the town. Teleport, Taft.
Pinball 1 Posted March 1, 2018 #46 Share Posted March 1, 2018 Pinball followed Mars onto the teleport, whirling around to get ready to poof onto Floor 11. A flash of blue hair caught his eye. It was the same girl from the Fourth Floor, when he had gone out fishing with Mars. She was standing in front of a building, her eyes closed, leaning against her sword. His heart skipped a beat. Is that..? Just then, her green-haired companion stepped out of the building, his weapon, too, unsheathed and resting on his shoulder. Pinball watched as they talked for a moment, and then left, heading towards the edge of the safe zone. He frowned. Don't make things worse for her. You've done enough. Pinball straightened. "Teleport, Taft." A flash of blue light, and Pinball was standing on Floor 11. "Oi, Mars," he said, stepping off the pedestal, "I'll let you lead the way. See if you can find something for us to fight." He usually guarded his emotions around new people, but he had been around Mars for so long that he was sure even if he tried, he'd be able to tell. I don't want to talk about it, he thought anxiously, praying Mars didn't bring it up. He grinned, but it was painfully fake. "Allriiiighty, let's get to it."
Mars 0 Posted March 1, 2018 Author #47 Share Posted March 1, 2018 He notices his companion looking at something once more and sees the same duo that caught his companion's eye the last time. He sees him straighten up and heads out to Taft which e quickly follows soon after with a grin. Knowing that he is about to get some new information. When on the other side in taft he conceals his smile and looks towards Pinball. So then who was the couple that caught your eye? That has been the second time you noticed them and acted the same way. he tells his companion as he starts to head towards the nearest exit of the town in a calm and collected manner. Wondering what monsters he will be facing while on this floor. His familiar seeming just as ready as Mars to go burn and kill some mobs for the loot they can drop for the two players. Pinball 1 Posted March 1, 2018 #48 Share Posted March 1, 2018 He laughed nervously, shoving his free hand in his pocket. The anxious teen shook his head, stretching a bit. "No idea," he lied. "They just have weird hair." Especially that ass with the green hair, Pinball thought bitterly. A lump caught in his throat, and just thinking about it made him want to punch the guy in the face. He shook his head. They were nearing the edge of the safezone, and soon, they'd find monsters they could kill. He just had to stall a bit, so as to avoid Mars' questioning. He'd been avoiding that girl for the longest time, and he didn't want to cause them any more trouble than he had. Especially since he'd end up punching that one guy in the face. "Uhh, we should be here now," he said, once they were out of the safezone. "Hey, look and see if you can see a monster around here." He lowered his spear, the tip nearly touching the ground. He had stolen the stance from Monizo, a pure beginner, but it seemed like it was a much more efficient and realistic way of holding the weapon. "Let's see if we can pick up some equipment or col or whatever."
Mars 0 Posted March 3, 2018 Author #49 Share Posted March 3, 2018 Mars just nods his head as he considers the floor the two are on and figures the type of enemy they will be fighting will be a rather obvious one. Ants, or some kind of wandering knights from the crusades. Having heard that the floor boss was a crusader, and that the common enemy type are ants since they have Burroughs throughout the floor that have become their hives where they live. Himself not really caring to dig deeper about the couple that Pinball seems to have a obsession about since it is just a waste of his energy to try and learn about two weaklings that could mean nothing. If they do mean something then he would meet them eventually and knock them away in a duel if it somehow impedes his questing alongside Pinball during his time doing such a thing with the fisherman. If something is wrong you can say something you know? I can tell something is bothering you form how you are speaking. Mars says to his companion.
Pinball 1 Posted March 3, 2018 #50 Share Posted March 3, 2018 (edited) Pinball shook his head. He didn't want to discuss it any further. She was someone he should have left in the past. Someone he did leave in the past. "It's nothing, really. Nothing." He looked down, his attention wavering as unwelcome thoughts invaded his mind. A rumbling in the dirt beneath him snapped Pinball out of it. "What the-" From the earth burst forst a giant insect, with long, sharp pincirs. It chomped down on Pinball, and he let out a bit of a gasp as his health dipped. He hadn't expected that, and the shock factor of it all scared him more than the attack itself. The moment he felt the grip loosen, he ripped free, red pixels ripping through his armor and the cloth beneath it. The monster resembled a giant ant, with long, sharp pincers and golden nuggets in place of eyes. Its name was Gold Digger. Not wasting a moment, Pinball retaliated, attacking the creature with Dimension Stampede. A gust of icy wind, and the monster was frozen. "Conserve your energy. Mars 0 Posted March 3, 2018 Author #51 Share Posted March 3, 2018 (edited) He looks at the enemy and charges up his attack as only his right fist gets covered in blue energy as he bends his knees and quickly dashes towards the enemy in question as he rushes at the ant, and then proceeds to punch it as hard as physically possible knocking it away into pixels and particles leaving it to die by his fist of justice as he grins at that. One enemy down Pinball not bad at all. You know besides the whole almost getting killed by the monster's pincers and all that. He says to his partner with his hands within his pockets not even being fazed by the fight since it was over within a second as he glances around the field. You know if there is one there usually will be more ants nearby searching for food. We should be prepared for more of those gold diggers, and who knows there might be variants. Like silver, diamond, platinum. Pinball 1 Posted March 3, 2018 #52 Share Posted March 3, 2018 (edited) With the defeat of the Gold Digger, Pinball let out a small breath. "Alright," he mumbled, tallying up the rewards. They'd split everything down the middle, he knew, unless Mars insisted in letting Pinball take most of the items again. He nodded when Mars told him there might be more, and shrugged when he started to talk about the possibility for variants. "There probably is," he agreed, then grinned, "let's see if we can find every type, and weed 'em out." Pinball stopped, hearing what sounded like wild footsteps. He leapt backwards just in time, and the pinsers only snapped at empty air. "Jesus!" He wasn't sure how the Gold Digger had snuck up on him, but it had, and Pinball was all the more tense because of it. He leveled his spear, walking slowly around to try and flank the monster. He said to Mars, his eyes never leaving the creature, "Let's get this one, too. Must have come to avenge its friend." -------------------------- -Combat- ID# 97701 BD: 2+3= 5 (Miss!) Mars grins at that and turns to his partner. Your turn now Pinball. he says calmly as his familiar quickly lets loose a torrent of flames at the ant burning it up in a pillar of flames lowering its health even more so as it is on the brink of half health from what the game is telling the two of them. he just nods his head at his familiar for doing what is necessary in terms of trying to aid in terms of damage that can be outputted against the opponents. @Pinball #97733 BD:7 100 DMG -9 ENG Players- [H:1] Mars: 420/420 HP | 23/42 EN | 3 EVA | 3 ACC | 1 Svy | 2 Rgn | 10 DMG [H:0] Pinball: 373/440 HP | 26/44 EN | 3 EVA | 3 ACC | 8 DMG -Enemy- Gold Digger: 120/220 HP | 66 DMG Edited March 4, 2018 by Mars
Pinball 1 Posted March 4, 2018 #54 Share Posted March 4, 2018 (edited) Pinball stepped to the side, eyeing his target. His spear was held low, ready to swing up at the ant should it rush him. To his surprise, however, Mars was the one to take initiative. He watched as the man leapt forward, attacking the Gold Digger with the same sword art he had used to kill the previous ant. He turned back to the ant, only to catch in the corner of his vision Mars' liger leaping forth. "Oh!" Pinball jumped back, staggering away from the torrent of flames. That would have hurt. He gave Mars a blank stare, then leveled his spear again, creeping back up to the ant. Slower, now, but much more tense. He didn't want Mars to have to finish this monster, too. His hand lowering the spear to the ground, Pinball made his way forward, ever forward, waiting for the perfect oppurtunity to attack and defeat the monster in front of him... unless Mars did it first. -------------------------------------------------------- ID# 97734 BD: 2+3= 5 (Miss!) Mars 0 Posted March 4, 2018 Author #55 Share Posted March 4, 2018 he grins at seeing what just happened and just nods towards his ally and waits with a calm look upon his face. Well go kill the ant i'm not going to take this away from you. I need to save up my energy also for that matter since it seems these things are coming to attack us back to back without much rest. To save u pas much energy as possible is a necessary step in making sure we can fight back against them. he says in a calm manner to his ally as he just watches the gold digger as it tries to attack him as he simply side steps away out of the attack with a cold looks towards the creature. tempted to kill it with a singular blow for the creature thinking it could harm him, but there is more things to fight. Even possibly stronger variants to kill taht could try to stand a challenge to himself and Pinball. He quickly just backs away with a nod towards his rival. Well kill it already. Pinball 1 Posted March 4, 2018 #56 Share Posted March 4, 2018 (edited) Pinball circled around the Gold Digger, his boots crushing the grass beneath his feet. The Gold Digger unnerved Pinball, but it wasn't the dangerous looking pinsers. It was its eyes. The golden nuggets that betrayed no emotion were what put Pinball off the most. Creepy as hell, he thought, gritting his teeth. He wondered if there were variants, and if so, whether or not they held any special abilities. It would make the fight more interesting, but fighting an armored ant or a poisonous didn't appeal to Pinball at the moment. Not after he had taken a hit from the first Gold Digger. The Gold Digger turned its head to Mars, and charged. Oh! Pinball took two long strides, then leapt in front of Mars, his spear held outright. "Bah!" he yelled, and the Gold Digger recoiled from the suddennes of it. Pinball noticed the dip in his energy. He turned to Mars with a sheepish smile on his face. "Uhhh, I'll kill it in a second." -------------------------------------------------------- ID# 97819 BD: 2+3= 5 (Miss!) MD: 4 - 3 = 1 (Miss!) Mars 0 Posted March 4, 2018 Author #57 Share Posted March 4, 2018 He glances over towards his ally with a raised eyebrow at seeing him miss once more as he just calmly sits down on the ground. Waiting for the creature to try and attack himself as he watches the creature just miss him entirely as he glances at it with a raised eyebrow at how utterly it managed to fail in attacking him. Nice try creature, but your luck in hitting me seems just as likely as a person with no accuracy trying to hit a bird. Zero chance. he says in amusement as he then observes the ant moving out of the way and then sees you appearing shortly after the conclusion being obvious. Another miss having happened as he just looks at Pinball in confusion. How are you managing to miss a giant target twice in a row. You must have the worst luck in all of existence if that is the case. he says looking at you.
Pinball 1 Posted March 4, 2018 #58 Share Posted March 4, 2018 (edited) Pinball chuckled a bit, then rushed forward, ducking under the snap of the Gold Digger's pinsers. He finally let loose Dimension Stampede, his attack knocking the Gold Digger into the air. The giant ant landed hard on its back, sending dust flying, but shattering into pixels with the sound of breaking glass. Pinball stood up straight, slamming his spear into the dirt. "Alright!" The screen that announced his loot popped up, and Pinball grinned. "Alright, all we gotta do now is split the loot." Truth be told, Pinball didn't feel like grinding anymore, even though they had only fought two monsters. "I'm pretty ready to get out of here, even though we were only here for like... ten minutes. Not even." He shrugged, sending his loot to Mars. "Here," he said. Mars 0 Posted March 4, 2018 Author #59 Share Posted March 4, 2018 Easy in terms of loot i would like the COL split evenly amongst the two of us, and Mats and that will be all i need for this loot. Pinball. Anything else would be a bit to much if i am honest. he says in a calm tone of voice looks at his rival with a smile on his face slipping back into the habit of the nice guy for the moment. Figuring he need to practice that a bit more to make sure that he can trick others into helping him. It is only a matter time for the moment for himself when he jumps leads and bounds and gets to kill some quest mobs with a singular attack. Goals to strive for, for certain in his eyes. He then nods taking his half of the loot and then makes his way back towards the main settlement to head towards his next questing destination. Pinball 1 Posted March 4, 2018 #60 Share Posted March 4, 2018 Pinball nodded. Mars wanted to split the col evenly, and then he was fine with it. He had been pushed into a similar situation in their previous outing, where Mars had refused to take any of the items. He wasn't sure why he didn't want them. He seemed to be much more interested in the Col part of things as compared to the identifying part of the game. He smiled, though, with a shrug. He wouldn't want to take any of the items even if he asked him to. Still, he would. "You sure you don't want any of the unidentified items? They might turn out to be something good. Even if they're just..." he checked his screen. "Consumables." He shrugged again, looking into the forest. He accepted the items with a wave, backing away. "Well, thanks for the fun. Or like... the bloody fun. Killing kings and all that jazz. Sad stuff." He spun around, his free hand snapping into a finger gun. "Welp. Have fun killing ants or whatever. Pinball, out."
