[OP-F2] Living Stone

The rocks crashed down on Angel's back damaging him slightly, but not dangerously. He bounced a few falling stones off his shield and rushed towards the action. His Vertical Arch ability had recharged by now so he ran towards the Guardian's backside, charging the blade. Then his blade flashed blue and he swung. A loud whistle echoed through the cave as his blade seemed to cut the air itself. His sword flashed in the V pattern, causing two critical strikes. He grinned and thrust his shield straight up, hoping to do more damage.

Angel bashed his shield spike into the Guardian's back. He shouted an angry battle cry as he punched it forward. This time the spike went into the monster's back piercing it and causing damage. Angel then planted both feet on the base of it's back and pushed off, giving him some distance from the monster.

*Monster Post*

The Golem Roared, its HP dropping significantly low. This battle was almost over, but he wasnt done yet. He turned his attention towards Angel, His fist curled up tight in a ball as it swings heavily down at the shielded foe. His attack being blocked by his foes shield, Angel will still feel the raw strength behind the attack even though he blocked it.

[Seldentar 0]

Seldentar runs up to the monster, crouching low. With a powerful swing, he swipes at the Golems legs with his Slash attack. His blade makes contact, but the monsters armored skin seems to stop the attack cold. Seldentar jumps back in surprise, trying to come up with a new strategy.

Angel watched as the monster had whipped it's arm over it's head and slam it down towards him. Luckily, he had raised his shield in time to not get hit with the massive attack. But that didn't mean that he didn't feel it. A shock wave shot through his body, turning his arms and legs to jelly. He was stunned slightly, causing him to back away away from the monster and not counter attack.

*Monster Post*

Feeling the Impact against its leg, the monster roared. Spinning around, it violently swings his hand at Seldentar, trying to bat him away. Seldentar takes the hit hard, the strength of the monster throwing him across the room, sprawled out (Critical Hit: Stun one turn)

Angel's mind became clear again just in time to see Seld get swatted away. Angel had to think quickly as the guardian went to finish the job. He thought about running up and attacking it but he didn't want to risk missing. So instead he used his Howl skill. He felt a low rumbling in his chest and then he let out a loud roar in the monster's direction. Almost instantly it turned to face him. "Come on! Follow me!" He shouts to the monster while also running the other way. The rooms design was circular, with the pedestal in the middle and a ring along the edge. Various columns were sticking in the path and holding up the massive ceiling. Angel picked up a rock and threw it at the Golem, angering it more. "Over here!" He shouts as he leads the Golem away from the fallen Seld.

Seld starts to move, struggling to get up, his whole body shaking He manages to take a knee, closing his hand around his sword again, but he is still recovering from the last attack, and can only watch as he slowly regains control of his motor functions.

*Monster Post*

Drawn by Angels Howl, the golem turns to chase him, each step making the room shake. With a powerful swing, he smashes his hand down at Angel. The attack only grazes him, but Angel gets the feeling that could have been a lot worse if his reaction wasnt faster.

The Golem's attack had managed to hit Angel but he didn't care about that. He was just glad that Seld was safe for now. As Angel recovered from the hit, he planned to finish this fight. He charged a Vertical Arch attack and planned to follow it up with a strong shield bash. When the Golem was close enough, the blade flashed blue and he charged forward, swinging the blade into the monster's legs. He grinned as Dragon Claw found it's mark. The weapon did critical damage and cut down the monster's legs, bringing it down. The whole cavern shook with the force of the monster falling under it's own weight.

He raised the shield high and slammed it down, putting his weight into the strike. But apparently the Golem wasn't done yet. Boar Basher's spike bounced off it's hard armor and set Angel staggering backwards. The Golem attempted to get up, causing Angel to ready his shield.

Seldentar slowly rises to his feet, finally feeling able to move again. Seeing Angel cut through its leg, he grins, this fight had to end, now. Even cut down, it could still bring this whole cavern down on them. It was time to finish this fight. Running forward, he triggers his sword skill . He runs up the steps of the pedastal, jumping off of it high into the air, then, guided by the system assist, brings his sword down with a powerful lunge. As it started to move up at Angel, his sword, guided by the sword skill, pierces through the monster, and in a blinding flash of light, it explodes.

Angel stands still for a moment, not sure if they had done it. But then he sees Seld standing there with the pixels of the former guardian around him. That's when he smiled and started laughing out loud. It was a happy laugh believe it or not. He was glad that no one had died on this trip and that they had gotten what they came for. Then, remembering his deal with the Info Broker, takes out a notepad and starts to jot down notes about the guardian; health, attacks, stuff like that. After writing down enough, he looks around at the cavern. It had plenty of materials worth looting and they had already beaten the boss. It was his knowledge that Boss's take a long time to respawn so they had time for some extra looting. "You think we have time to take a few extra souvenirs?" He asks Seld, his eyes glued to a large green crystal on the ground.

Seldentar nods his head, moving to the crystal. It was way too big to move in its current state. He raises his sword, and brings it down at the crystal hoping to shatter it into usable pieces.

Sadly, after breaking the Crystal apart, only one chunk looked big enough to be usable. Picking it up, the could probably make some interesting Jewelry, maybe even a weapon if they were careful with it. Added to the 6 Living Stone they had, not too bad a haul.

"Its probably time we got out of here. Its getting kind of late...and we have a long walk back."

Angel was sad that only one of the green gems was usable but he figured it could have been worse. He took one last look at all the shiny stones lining the room and then followed Seld out the newly formed door. "Yeah, I suppose you're right. Shame that we can't take it all, am I right?" he asked with a grin.

[Seldentar 0]

Seld shakes his head.

"I doubt wed have the strength to carry it all out, especially since your lugging those stones too. Theres still a weight limit sadly. Besides, there will be other caverns filled with loot, im just not too keen on being out after dark...even if they are tempting to go after."

Angel sighed, taking out the torch and leading them down the tunnel and out of the cave. "Yeah, I suppose you're right." He said, looking back one last time before making it to open air. They stood on the edge of the mountain side, looking over the forest. The safety of Urbus was far away. "We're gonna have to hurry if we're gonna make it before the sun goes." With that he puts away the torch and starts jumping down the mountain side, careful to get the stable ledges that he had encountered on the way up. It would take a while and was more dangerous but it was still faster than simply climbing down.

Seldentar will follow behind, relying on his instincts to guide him down the mountain. At this rate, they might make it back before sun set after all. He didn't want to think about what monsters came out of the forest at night, and didnt want to stick around to find out.

Angel's heavy boots hit the ground after a few minutes of jumping, causing a semi loud THUMP. He quickly observed the floor as he drew his sword and shield. It seemed quiet except for a few random monsters but nothing too serious. "Come on, we've got little time to dawdle." He told Seld as he rushed through the woods, slashing at whatever got in his way.

Seldentar will follow behind, defending their retreat with everything he had. As night begins to fall, they finally break the forest line, and Urbus could be seen out in the distance. Seldentar sighs in relief, exhaustion was definitely starting to sink in.
