[PP-F11] The End of the White Warrior (Sey)

Recommended Posts

The evening was young, and both Hidden and Sey were to be found in the place they called home in Aincrad. The sun was beginning to grow tired and the moon wished to play with the sky. Hidden remained as normal without the potion that transformed her appearances into that of Elucia. She rest upon the couch, eyes closed as her head laid upon Sey's chest. Her face was molded into a sleepy smile as it usually was when she was with her love. He brought out the best in her and made all of the bad thoughts from the day fade. Through their love, she had a reason to live and not fight to the death in every situation. She had remembered Hestia's words from a bit back, asking her to see if she could motivate Sey to come back to the frontlines, especially since they had just finished making a deal. Hidden had given up the thought. If Sey wished to remain at home instead of risking his life everyday, she could live with it. She was more than happy about the fact. Every day he would be gone, the thought of him dying terrified her. If he were to pass, the joy in life would be sucked away like marrow from a bone.

At first, the thought of leaving the frontlines just so he could have a bit of time to himself seemed like an awful thought, leaving them to fight while he just laid in his bed with his girlfriend. The amount of regret he expected to live with at the time didn’t even hold an ounce of truth. Honestly, he was far more content with leaving things as they are now. Forget the Yukino’s, forget the escape, forget the businesses, forget every bit of stress that he told himself over and over that he needed to get through. Were any of the trials meant to better him in any way? The people who fight on the frontlines, he couldn’t list half of them by name. And for what reward? It wasn’t that he hated them, but why did he care?

Now he laid peacefully with his lover, looking forward to the relaxing nature of the game and accepting it as his home. His former weapon was laid down against the ground on Hidden’s side of the bed, ready for her to pick up and continue using. He didn’t fear for her, knowing full-well that she was capable of handling herself on the field. Though they have difference approaches in the game, the both of them could come back to the same point, the common ground that is this house. It was the most peaceful area for him, especially when there was one person he could look forward to in the game.

Perhaps he could return if he ever found her to be nothing more than a corpse…

But that was the only thought that brought him a lack of peace. There was a sense of trust and hope for her, to continue what he perhaps couldn't do himself. Is this a game over? For him, it was still a game, he was just choosing a different way to play it.

No more fighting, no more business, no more reality.

(Nato's Might traded over to @Hidden)
