Jade was a quiet person, she was known in class for being "cute and quiet". No one really knew her, all that was known about her was that she was shy, quiet, and curious. Interestingly enough, she never had any love interests, she never thought about anyone that way. Her life had taken a turn when she was seven, plunging her feet first into hell. Her life became more problematic when she went into high school, her fathers mood swings got more aggressive. She is typically seen in primarily gray with black styled clothing and armor. Even her weapons are styled like that. She has a younger sister that she values like no one else, seeing her again is the one thing that is still keeping her going in this world.

 

Jade was the first child raised in a family that seemed normal enough, until her mother died in a freak car accident. Her father was never the same, her father turned to alcohol, and doing so started a living hell for Jade and her younger sister Jess. Her father became a monster, she prefers not to talk about it. You can see the sorrow in her eyes whenever someone mentions family in general. It didn’t help that she got into trouble at school, or framed as I'd like to put it, this only made what happened at home worse. She eventually fell into emptiness, she felt like there was no point in continuing, the only thing that is keeping her going is her little sister. The worst fight she ever got in with her father was when she was in high school, but this time she tried to defend herself, she ended up getting a broken leg and shoulder because she “fell” down a flight stairs. When she got better she was kicked out of her own home, she turned to her best friend for help, unfortunately, she was moving to Japan in a week. Jade said she didn’t care, and also asked for her sister Jess to come too, she wouldn't leave her to the mercy of a monster.  So, Jess and Jade tagged along with her friend to Japan, and after she got there she had found out about the nerve gear. On the day of its release, she was the only one home, but a package arrived at the door. She opened it and found out it was the Nerve Gear. She studied it skeptically, but eventually was overwhelmed by her own curiosity. “Maybe just... just a little bit...” She set it up, put it on, and said: “Link… Start!”

 

 

Virtues and Flaws:

Virtues:

Intelligent - Having nothing to distract or interest her but schoolwork, books, and computers, Jade ended up having one of the highest grades in the entire class. Hoping that one day she might actually make something that people actually enjoyed, so she studied, everyday, every week, every year. Though she may not be entirely able to study in this world, she still brings what intelligence she had with her. One of the benefits is a heighten vocabulary, though she doesn't take to people much, so .

Serious - Due to Jades childhood, she hasn’t really developed a sarcastic or jokey personality. Which makes her easy to read in the eyes of her friends and acquaintances. You can easily tell if she is happy, upset, frightened, determined, disappointed, horrified, etc. She almost never lies or jokes about the things she says and is fairly easy if not fun to talk to.  You can expect a consistent truth from her, unless she wants to withhold something, then she just won't answer.

Thoughtful - Jade is considerate of others, she enjoys help people. Why Jade does this, she doesn't know. Maybe it had something to do with desperately needing help and not getting it in the real world, and thus for she never wanted anyone to suffer like she had. So she helps out as much as she can trying her best to bare the problems of her colleagues and friends. Believing that she is useless and a waste of others potential, she will bare the burdens of her friends and colleagues until the day she dies, or snaps.

Neutral Traits:

Curious - The reason this is a neutral trait is because it is both a flaw and a virtue. Her curiosity has helped her throughout her life, she can't go a single day without doing something that at least pertains to her own curiosity and interests. This has gotten her to make friends, allies, companions. But it has also made her see things she was never able to unsee. Things she was better off living without, things that are driving her to the edge. One day, all those things will break her, she will snap. She is scary once she's lost control. 

Flaws:

Shy and Timid - Jade isn’t exactly what you would call a social butterfly. She is easily flustered, overwhelmed, and frightened when it comes to conservation. Jade fears talking to people because she is worried she might say something wrong or make the mood change negatively. Effectively causing them to think badly of her. She tries to avoid talking to others as much as possible. 

Pessimistic - Jade always tends to see the bad side of life, but for someone with her background, could you blame her? This evidence of trait is subtly present in almost all the conversations she has with anyone.

Traumatized - Her rough childhood left some deep psychological scars on Jade, she constantly is reminded of what a terrible life she had lived and only expects it to get worse. Some of them reoccur in nightmares causing her to wake up screaming or crying. Others reoccur in flashbacks from seeing or hearing something familiar that cause her to behave irrationally and act on edge as if she was expecting something tragic to happen at any moment. But now in this new reality? Well, let's leave it as it didn’t exactly help with Jade’s condition.

Depression - This is a mental illness that stays consistent throughout her days, and mental states. She is constantly sad and just wants a way to numb or stop the pain. However, peoples influence or isolation can increase the pain she feels, or decrease it.

Suicidal Thoughts - I really don't need to explain this, she won't care about herself as much, even going so far as fighting until she has been completely expended.

Moderate Anxiety - Constant paranoia, even in safe zones. She will act skeptical about almost any situation, expecting it to change to the worse in an instant causing her to mistrust her senses and second guess everything, she will be a bit more jumpy and easier to frighten.

Emotionally Unstable - For some reason, Jade's emotions are unstable, meaning she will seem unnaturally happy sometimes, and unnaturally sad at others.

Lonely - I really don't need to explain this, she feels bad because she avoids talking or interacting with anyone.

Night Terrors - She wakes up after nightmares over and over. Each one, taking a toll on her. She wishes she could just sleep, without the monsters crawling out from the closet.

Summary -

Ghost is contacted by a mysterious red guild that wants to utilize her. Upon denying, they attempt to brainwash and eventually try to kill her. Along her journey to stop them, she meet many new people, madmen to vigilantes, murderers to tricksters, friends and enemies.
