Yamashiro Kamanachi was born in tokyo to a cop and a teacher. His father was a cop in tokyo, so until he was 10, Shiro would stay up all night in fear of his father not coming back. His twin sister always stayed up with him and he always stayed near her. The two were inseparable. His sister helped him open up, he was never shy around his sister. Shiro always protected his sister from the mean people of the world, and his sister always helped him open up to new people.

Shiro joined SAO because his sister was joining and Shiro couldn't go a day without his sister. Call them codependent, call them freaks, they won't care. They prefer each other's company and need it to function properly as people. The boy decided to try to do the most damage he could to the monsters while his sister healed, but they got separated when the players freaked out because they were stuck in a death game. His mission is to find his sister and with her help clear the game.
Virtues:

Smart: Shiro is really smart, like genius levels of smart. The boy has an IQ of 167, so he knows quite a bit. This knowledge does not extend to anything emotional, so he avoids people who talk about what they're feeling a lot. His mind is also quick however. 

Analytical: Due to his intelligence, Shiro always looks at every situation from all angles. He analyses everything he hears, sees and does. This makes him a tactical genius too, able to see the best possible move even in the worse possible situation.

Strong willed: Shiro never backs down, nor is he easily persuaded. This stems from his high intelligence and his being a teenage boy. It also stems from his dad being a cop, who taught him to never back down and always fight for what you believe in.

Calm: Shiro always remains calm in any situation. Though he doesn't operate well without his sister, he always keeps a level head. This helps him with his analytical thinking and planning for the next attack.

Flaws:
Shy: The boy's timid nature makes him difficult to talk to. This usually goes away, or mostly away, when his sister is nearby. This doesn't happen often in game because he hasn't seen his sister since the first day of the game.

Realist: Shiro, as a genius, knows that optimism is naive and pessimism is worse than depression. He refuses to see anything as more than what it is, just a situation he has no control of. This quality has made him a bit callous and he tries to not bum anyone out.

Apathetic: Shiro doesn't really care about anything other than his sister. His goal is his one reason for living, so he stopped trying to care about everything. This can make him emotionally distant, and it usually costs him some friends.
