Elou needed points! Mostly because she had dumped everything into searching and not gotten any weapon skill or actual weapon - the vanity stuff hardly counted. But also because she wanted to drop it all into Blacksmith and be a low-level masterworker. Like a girl of awesome. So obviously, when she read the quest board and heard some guy called Zackariah was offering people to come to him and deliver him materials and then something something potions. Elou was distracted by a cat. It was really cool to see the effort that had gone into this game. If it didn't kill you when yo died, it might have actually been really fun, as opposed to quite a bit of fun.

"What do you say, mr cat? Shall we become the best blacksmith there has ever been? Can we do so without being also a fighty person? Most, of the quests were combat and we haven't really nailed that system yet"

A light sigh escaped from underneath her cowl alongside a few strands of blonde, as a figure cloaked in gray stealthy made her way through the streets of the Town of Beginnings. After finishing an errand for her former mistress, she wanted to be in a less populated place where she couldn't be so easily recognized. Previous to that, taking part of a important meeting was something she did on a whim and right now she didn't need more unwanted attention. Luckily her companion, a small white furred lioness with 3 black stripes across her face, helped in that regard by drawing all of the attention upon herself. The appearance of a pet who looked like a frontline floor mob put fear in most newbies on the first floor, even if the whole area was a safe zone. Others would want to pet the familiar but reconsidered after she would let out a small growl after sensing their intention.

Overall Kimba's presence was more than welcomed to Ariel, as it permitted her to instinctively follow the lion's lead while thinking of other matters. The duo came to a abrupt stop as Kimba spotted a cat and decided ,now out of all times, to assert dominance. Kimba let out a furious roar that scarred off the lesser feline. "What's gotten into you?" muttered the blonde at the sound of her companion's battle cry. In the last second, she saw the feline figure flee and a lone girl looking in the same direction as her. Throwing Kimba a scolding gaze, she approached the girl that was apparently talking to the cat: "Sorry we scarred your friend away, she didn't mean harm." She slightly raised her cloak's cowl so that her face would be visible. Her silver eyes mirroring the girl's.

As always it was up to Ariel to clean up her companion's mess-ups.

Growl. It was quite the loud noise from behind her that scared off the cat she was playing with, but then it was replaced with a much larger, better, generally more awesome cat. So what was there to be sad about? With that in mind, Elou turned around to see her new friends and her new friend's big cat. It certainly was a very big cat.

"Ohh, don't worry about that, it happens. Cat would have probably run away anyway, because the Cardinal has really grasped the asshole nature of a cat firmly in both hands. Plus, you bring me better cat" Elou then opened her arms, and moved to hug giant lion thing. She was in a safe zone, after all, so she couldn't get hurt. "I'm on the way to this Zackariah to give him stuff so he will give me stuff. Do you want to come? I'm guessing it won't be much fun with a big cat like that"

A small chuckle escaped Ariel's lip as she heard the straightforward comment. "Yeah I noticed too that the system really mimics animal behavior to a extremely realistic degree." She turns her head towards her own familiar and continues. "It's like they have a mind of their own." Meanwhile, unimpressed by their conversation, Kimba would sit still and watch the girl approach with questioning eyes. In the end she would let herself be hugged and start to lightly purr as the girl's hands would comb through her well maintained fur.
On the other hand Ariel would wear a intrigued expression. The name didn't sound like one of the NPCs she knew about and the exchange part caught her attention. "Oh? not many tend to get too close to her because of her appearance, Not to mention she looks like she's taken a liking to you. " Stopping for a second to switch the gears of her thoughts she continues "Sure we'll come. Never heard of a Zachariah before so why not" she ended with a shrug. "Lead the way!"

"It does. Any AI worth it's salt has a brain that is comparable to the human mind in scope and scale. It's the only way you can compute the exobytes of data that are required to run something like this. There is no way a game as dynamic and sophisticated as this doesn't have an AI that is nearly identical to a human brain" Estaria spoke as if it was a matter of fact rather than anything else. She had gotten onto a tech blog once and spent six hours reading everything about it. She could be very obsessively focused when it came down to things that caught her fancy.

"As for the cat, it's a safe zone on the first floor, what is there to be scared of even if it was going to attack me? You don't take damage in a safe zone and SAO dampens the pain receptors so you don't feel it if you do. So the two main sources of fear have been eliminated, thus rendering all subsequent fears a matter of phobia. And I don't have one of them. Thus, there is no reason, sane or logical, why I would fear the cat" she got up, nodded, and then gave a goofy grin.
