[PP|F1] If it’s free, it’s for me <<The First Few Lessons are Free>>

Bell chuckles as she talks about food poisoning. “Wouldn’t be the first time. Remember when I tried to cook spaghetti for you when we were binging all the games I had at my flat? That was rubbish.” He smiles, pulling her in for a hug by the head. He kisses her on the forehead and lets her go, sitting on a log on the ground. Part of him wanted to camp out in the woods, the other part wanted to go back to town and buy her everything she wanted, but instead he elected to finish the quest with her and then see what she wants. “Did you ever make choose what you wanted to be when you grow up?” He asks, his eye brow raising up under his red hair. His red hoodie over his black shirt and black pants made him look like an edgy kid who no one talked to, really he was a chipper teen no one talked to. “I was gonna be a game developer, having already made numerous apps already. But I’m sure I won’t make it out of here.” The last part quiet as he looks down at the ground. There was no evidence to prove otherwise, he was two years late on leveling up at all, now all he wanted to do was keeping people safe from the monsters who were a danger to them.

“It wasn’t that bad...” she murmured, trying to recall the memory. After a few seconds, her nose scrunched up and she grimaced. “Okay, never mind. It was bad.” She giggled and slapped his arm lightly. Now that’s definitely not fair. Why did she have to be so bloody short? She pouted at him and squinted at his red hair. “Now, how in hell is that fair? I’m not even near your height even if I’m on my toes!” She whined, sitting down so that her legs were crossed.

She tapped her fingers on her thigh and looked up at him, also with her brow raised. She thought for a minute and her shoulders sagged. “Not really, if I were to be honest. I wanted to be some kind of artist,” she mumbled, “or maybe even an animator. I’m kind of out of practice now, no?” She chuckled to herself lowly. She didn’t really want to think about the future, especially when she’s still stuck in here. She smiled at him. “Oh really, that’d be awesome. Get famous for me, yeah?” She grinned, already wishing she knew how to program and all of that jazz that’s in game developing. Her smiled faltered as she waddled on her knees over to him. “Hey, hey,” she snapped her fingers in front of his face and gave him a sad smile. “Don’t be like that, okay? We’ll both get out of here, okay. Both.” She cupped his cheeks and smiled brighter. If no one was here to make the mood better, she would have to do it herself! “Plus, I really want to see my brothers pound you into a waffle,” she murmured with a smirk. She slapped his cheeks lightly and jumped up. “Alright, boy, let’s go get those materials!”

The girl jokes about Bell getting pummeled and he laughs a little. Her hand lightly smacks his cheek and he smiles at her. “You’re right, I wanna see your pretty face in the real world anyways.” He leans in for a quick kiss, pulling back and smiling a little. “Kiss your real lips. You’ll be my first real kiss.” He says, his hand reaching out for hers as he walks through the woods. His eyes pan across the ground looking for any semblance of a material. “Maybe one day I can teach you how to code. Maybe make you a little program on your phone to help you out.” He looks at her, pulling out cupcake. “I’ve been saving this bugger for a while, so eat up.” He stops and finds a tree to lean against, making sure she was standing out in front of him and he kisses her. “I could do this all day.” He says, holding her hand still.

She laughed at his cute gesture and smiled at him. "Good God, you can be so cheesy!" The girl joked, rolling her eyes teasingly. "Who knew you had a romantic side?" She said out loud, gripping his hand a little tighter as she giggled like a lovesick school girl-- oh, wait. Her eyes lit up at the mention of coding. She had always wanted to learn how to code but she kind of just gave up after watching one or two YouTube videos. "That'd be nice," she bit her lip but smiled unconsciously, "and I didn't you were good enough to make an app. That's so cool!" She beamed up at him and let go of his hand to clap her hands a bit. She looked down at the cupcake and then back up at him. "Oh, God, just marry me already," she whispered as she snagged the cupcake away from his hands. She smiled into the kiss and she laughs slightly. "As much as I want to stay with you all day, every day, I need to get stronger. And so do you!" She poked his chest lightly peeled the wrapper of the cupcake. "I'm a bloody genius. Have you ever made a cupcake sandwich?" She asked him, her eyes glancing at his face before smiling and looking back at her cupcake. She neatly cut the cake part of the sweet in half and placed the other half on top of the icing. "Genius, I told you!"

Her joke about marrying her already made his face turn a bright red, he couldn’t help but turn away and look into the woods where he notices a purplish gleam, a flower with a gleam? He waits for her to finish talking, letting go of her hand when he turns to walk out towards the flower he stops and winks at her. “I always knew you were a genius.” He keeps walking out towards the flower and transfers it into his inventory, the flower would make a great potion one day. Usually in games these flowers make low tier healing potions, such a cliche look, but it makes it easier to recognize for us healers. “Hey Eve, if you ever need a healer, I’ll be there.” He points to himself with a cocky grin. Anything to fight on her side right? He walks over to her and grabs her hand pulling her along the trail back towards the town.

He pulls her back across the field by her hand and before he steps into town he stops and spins his hand pulling her into a hug from behind. He smiles, pressing his cheek on her head in an endearing fashion.

"You did?" She sputtered, her face turning pink. "I-I mean, of course you did! I am a bloody genius!" Ah, now there was the Kirbs we all know and love. She scampered after him and grinned as she realized he had finally collected all of the materials needed for the quest. At this rate, he can be the same level as her in no time! She turned to him and hummed, "hm?" She smiled at his almost too prideful smile and nodded her head. "Of course, and I'll be there to protect your arse," she giggled, flashing him a wink as she turned her head towards the oncoming town.

The girl laughed as she spun around and smiled at the affectionate behavior. "Well, you're awfully hug-y today," she commented, turning her head to give him a quick peck on the lips. "Now, my overgrown child. Let's go get us that blasted potion!"

She kisses him and speaks, Bell lets her go and starts walking through the town. Countless faces pass, Bell having never spoken to anyone but barkeeps and Kirbs, they all looked like strangers to him. He had no idea what he would do knowing that the game was full of somewhere around 8000 players he would never see again. The full towns and empty fields made for a realistic feel around the game. Arguably the most realistic thing about the game. The boy turns into a back alley, cutting through and ending up right outside of the old man’s shop.

Oi, Zacky boy. I got the mats yeah. Now what?” The old man explains that Bell has to craft a potion and pulls the boy into the back. “So, you take this and...” Bell had been making tea from scratch since he was a boy, so he stopped Zackariah. “I know what I’m doing.” He grabs the mortar and pestle, putting the first material in and crushing it into a bunch of little pieces. Then he grabs a filter, which looks like plain paper and folds it into quarters, setting the center on top of a bottle and pouring the contents of the bowl onto the filter. He then grabs a bottle of water about the same size as the bottle he had put the filter on top of and pours the water on it, a red liquid dripping down into the empty bottle. “See, I told you I’ve got it.”

He walks out, being grabbed by Zack and pulled back around. “Can you run the materials over there on that counter to an old friend named Lyle Tealeaf?” The man’s voice being old and tired reminded Bell of his grandpa, and how Bell had to help the old man at his house. Bell nods and walks over grabbing the box and heaving it up in his arms.

She drummed her fingers against an empty workbench as she watched the two people work. Kirbs giggled as she watched Bell nearly snap at the poor old man. The girl looked around the shop and sighed. It honestly wasn’t too long ago when she had first done this quest by herself, yet it felt like an eternity. She had wished she had someone to assist her back then. She didn’t even know that Bell had existed in here and a few months before, Hynes had disappeared, leaving her utterly friendless. It wasn’t until she had stopped sulking in her inn room did she really start making friends and enemies alike. She shuddered as she thought about the things she regretted ever laying eyes on.

She looked up at the other redhead and grinned. “Great, you’re almost done with the quest!” She cheered like the good person she is. “Ooo~. You’ll have to fight boars in the next quest. Let’s see how you do in that,” she smirked, holding open the door and gesturing outside.

Now that Bell had thrown the box on his shoulder, he carried it like a man who was experienced in lifting things like that. He carries it like a hay bale and talks to the girl. “So, what do you wanna do after this?” He struggles to carry the heavy box and walk next to her at the same time. The awkward boy not being able to figure out what to do with his hands he reaches across his front and grabs hers with the hand opposite of her. He spins and starts walking backwards so he was comfortable. His left heel catches his right and he falls backwards, slamming right into the ground and looking up at the sky. His cross necklace sits on his face right over his eye and he begins to laugh a little. “Ouch.” His groan attracts the attention of the players around him as they all turn to look at the pair and check to see if the boy was okay. He sits up his necklace falling back into place and his arm he had grabbed her hand with reaches back, transferring the quest item into his inventory and carrying it the regular way. “Sorry, I just don’t like being separated from reality this long, keeps me sane to do things the real way.” He stands up and kisses her and turns around to keep walking, holding her hand.

She shrugged, smirking at him as he carried the item that wasn't even heavy when she had held the same item a few months ago. "I'm pretty much free all day, everyday. Nothing is keeping this free bird down," she exclaimed, laughing a little as she stumbled with the box again. She smiled unconsciously as she gripped his hand in hers. She rolled her eyes dramatically as he spun around like an overgrown ballerina. A snort rose through her throat as she watched him fall on his arse. "Hah, what a loser..." she trailed off, "Oh wait, I'm supposed to be the loving person I am!" She gasped and covered her mouth in mock concern. "Oh, honey. Are you alright?" She asked, her voice growing a few pitches higher. She giggled and lopped his arm with hers. She looked aorund and smirked, noticing they had themselves an audience. "Oh, don't worry. He's just had too much of that white powder you adults love shoving up your noses," she let out a shrill laugh and waved her hands at them.

As they walked away, realization him her like a damn truck. She poked Bell's arm and laughed with a mixture of stupidity and sheepishness. "Hey, Bell. I think I forgot Scarfy back in the woods," she mumbled, deadpanning as she thinks about how Scarfy will react when she comes back and gets him. She quickly opened her menu and sent him a friend request. "Well, I have to dash out of here. I'll message you sometime, Bell!" She pressed a kiss on the side of his cheek before waving and dashing off towards the town exit.

Bell’s hands slide into his pockets as he moves up a staircase, the girl stopping him and he just shrugs. “I guess I’ll see you again sometime.” He accepts the friend request before she rockets off into the woods. I guess that’s that. He walks off in his own direction looking up the small porch, into the shop and smiling. Well, this has been a productive day. “Oi mate. I got a special delivery for one Lyle Tealeaf. I heard that right bloke owes me a quest.” He slams the box on the table and looks the old blacksmith in the eyes.

”I need some help with this weapon, I need some boar tusks to make this beautiful item.” He steps back and over the counter, pulling up a design for the boy. “Look at this beaut.” He smiles pointing at the intricacies in the design and Bell sighs. “Right, It’s a beautiful design, but like, I’ve got something to do so I’ll get that quest done and be right back with the materials.” He turns and walks out towards the edge of town again.
