'please don't spawn a mimic, please don't spawn a mimic, please don't spawn a mimic...' she thought, shifting around nervously. She gently placed it into the lock on the chest, and a few moments after, she heard a rather faint 'click', and the chest swung open. Her eyes went wide when she saw the assortment of items. Granted, she had no clue what they were, but they were all obviously specific types of items. she could see a weapon, a pair of consumables, and at least 5 materials alongside a small pile of col. she quickly scooped them up, and shoved all of it into her inventory, letting out a victorious cry as she did so. Mina walked away from the clearing, humming to herself as she did. Today was most definitely a good day.

Craft: 8 Loot: 5 MOB: 7 ID# 117106 results: Battle: 2 - MISS Craft: 3 Loot: 17 MOB: 9 ... or at least that was the case before she ended up almost getting run over by the giant boar that she had followed from earlier. An angry red cursor appeared over the monster's head, and the name "Dire Boar" appeared above its health bar. Mina pulled out her rapier, unsheathing it from where it was earlier, and pulled on her mask in order to bolster her accuracy. She didn't want to risk any chance that she might get injured by the mob. Thankfully, that didn't seem to be much of an issue considering the monster ended up missing her both times it had charged her. She stabbed her rapier into the monster several times, in the same pattern that the Sword art <<Crucifixion>> usually took when activated. It was somewhat upsetting that she didn't have bleed or paralysis activate, but she guessed that that would be ok in her book. She'd still hit it for a good chunk of its health, and it had completely whiffed her. Craft: 3 Loot: 3 MOB: 10 ID# 117109 results: Battle: 5 - miss Craft: 4 Loot: 1 MOB: 1 Mina let out a yelp as she was forced to dodge the boar as it charged her several times in a row, causing her sword art to backfire on her. Mina did a shoulder roll, before running in the direction of a large boulder that was rather close to where a giant tree was. She lept upwards, and managed to grab one of the lower-hanging trees, and started climbing until she figured that she was well out of the reach of the boar. She didn't want to be injured by accident, so she kept a close eye on the mob, her eyes narrowing behind her mask. Mina knew full well that fighting a mob, even with decent stats, always had a decent amount of danger that went along with it. But, seeing as this was basically a death trap no matter how you look at it, risk was just a part of how you had to go through this game. Mina pondered how good her accuracy had become after the two years that she had been trapped in here. compared to before, when she was almost unable to hit a boar of all things, she could probably throw her weapon, and still hit hit her mark. Even if it was at a sizable distance away from where she was. Levels really did seem to make a difference in this world. Mina let out a sigh when the boar started trying to buck her off, and it seemed to have forgotten to pay attention to where it was moving. She could clearly see where the boar was trying to go, however, and simply let the poor mob slam into one of the other trees as she jumped away from it. Craft: 10 Loot: 9 MOB: 4 ID# 117113 results: Battle: 2 - Miss Craft: 1 Loot: 2 MOB: 5 Mina looked over at the boar, which still seemed to be a little dazed over the incident with it smacking into the wall. She giggled a bit when it tried to run over to her, as dazed as it was. She knew that it would try to charge her again, and rightfully so since it seemed to be going at a rather fast speed in order to get to her, squealing angrily. Mina closed her eyes, and let out a sigh while shaking her head. while the game was beautifully crafted, the monsters never seemed to learn from their mistakes... at least on the earlier floors. on the higher floors, at least monsters could hit back. otherwise, they weren't too big of an issue. Plus there were temporary buffs that could be used if she or anyone else had any other issues in combat, or if anyone planned to take on a quest, event, or floor boss. Granted, it was fairly pricey to get ahold of the good buffs, especially the coveted teleport crystals that were extremely pricey, sometimes costing upwards of 800 Col a pop! thankfully, they could also be crafted, which made life much easier. That being said, she snapped her eyes open, before using her rapier to fling the boar into the air, and unleash yet another Crucifixion on the poor beast. With that, she had effectively knocked it into the red zone, and only with three sword-art based attacks. Apparently, the poor thing barely even had the strength to move, let alone even twitch... she sighed, before she allowed her rapier to charge up into a somewhat weaker sword art. At least it was strong enough to put it out of its misery. among the shattering of polygons, she took note of the items that had dropped. they were somewhat basic in comparison to what she had obtained before from killing loot-standard monsters, but she mused that it wasn't too big of an issue, at least not the way that this was going. Hopefully, with all of this being said and done, she could just take a minor break, before opening up her brand new shop. She glanced over at her in-game clock, and let out a sigh when she realized that it was getting rather late for her to be out. she shook her head, before beginning her long trek back to town...
