[F1 - R10 Tailor] The Crusty Bahrnacle

The thing about the Town of Beginnings is that it's actually a really big place. To those unfamiliar with its twists and turns, getting lost and spending hours or even days roaming its streets wasn't just a possibility; it was a probability. Even high-level players that hadn't familiarized themselves with the area could and would wind up in some sketchy areas without even realizing it. There was an underbelly to the city that few were aware of, a place where vagrants and criminals thrived. Just as crawling out of the hole of poverty was a challenge in the real world, so too was it in the virtual. To outsiders, these areas of town were despicable cesspits filled with the saddest and most vile of characters.

But for those bold enough to take the back roads, for the adventurous individuals willing to brave the depravity of these dark alleys, or even for those who wound up hopelessly lost while roaming the streets, a sign with intricate crimson lettering may come into view. It will read "The Crusty Bahrnacle" as you squint to decipher its inscription. Only those who know this place or stumble upon it by accident will be graced with the contents within. An assortment of the finest clothes and light armor in all the ghetto.

The interior would reveal a much homier environment, in stark contrast to the rabble just outside its doors. Beautiful display cases ran down the sides of the room with dark oak shelving hugging the walls just above them. Behind the counter at the far end of the room would hang bits of armor or customer clothing around backlight lettering matching the sign outside. The overall lighting of the room was low and mellow, with fixtures within the display cases and lining the shelves illuminating the merchandise without compromising the relaxed ambiance.

DAY 1

Bahr cracked his knuckles and sat down at his sewing station. It was time to get to work. There wasn't much he could do as a Beginner Tailor, but as he continued to hone his craft and level up, he would be capable of creating the most wondrous armor. The store would stay closed to the general public until he had a chance to perfect his craft.

Without further adieu, he got started.

Bahr spent some time at his sewing station. Sewing, weaving, pulling, stretching, mending, and assembling. After what seemed like forever, the fruits of his labor finally presented themselves. They were nothing special, just a few basic articles with the occasional breath of brilliance in between. Bahr could feel himself progressively becoming better and better at his craft. Every failure was a lesson. Every success a motivator. Every material snipped, every thread pulled, and every nip tucked. If he continued on his track at a pace like this, it would soon be him pulling the strings behind the Light Armor of Aincrad.

Kityuisa had seen Bahr's location for the past few days at a weird spot on floor one. When she went to investigate she had found his shop. It was located in the utter ghetto of the town of beginnings. It was closed, and Kityuisa had left. She would check back up in a few days when it was open. It wasn't much longer that Kityuisa had visited once more, seeing it was open she walked right on in. Her eyes falling on what Bahr had done with the place. It was beautiful! Her eyes fell upon a specific pair of gloves, they seemed to be enhanced to increase your luck. She needed these! Kityuisa picked them up and sauntered her way to Bahr, "I'll take these!" She placed them on the counter, "I need more luck..." Kityuisa frowned, "But for real, how have you been? I love what you've done with the place!" She sent her payment Bahr's way.

Sticking around and waiting for Bahr to reply to her, she also spied the request form. Snagging it she filled it out quickly, "If you could also make this for me! You can take your time, I am in no hurry. I know you probably can't make it yet, but here!!" Kityuisa gave Bahr a huge grin, placing the form in front of her as well.

Day 4

Today was the first day Bahr had decided to open up his shop. He had carefully arranged the shelving and display cases, swept up the shop, gotten everything all clean and spiffy, and otherwise straightened everything up. There was only one problem. Bahr frowned as he examined his work, remarking on how empty the shop looked. He only had a single pair of gloves for sale! He rubbed the back of his neck nervously as his lack of foresight caught up with him, barely noticing when the door opened.

"Oh, hey there! Fancy meeting you here," he said with a grin on his face. A single bead of sweat rolled down the side of his head as the nervousness began settle in. He was totally unprepared!

It was none other than Kityuisa. She perused the shop for a moment, seemingly impressed with it despite its lack of product. Before long, she had selected something - the only pair of gloves in the entire shop. "I'll that these!" she exclaimed enthusiastically, placing the gloves on the counter. "I need more luck..."

Bahr felt conflicted. On the one hand, this would mean that now he didn't have anything in stock. On the other hand, it was exciting that he was making his sale so soon. As he processed the payment, she spoke again. "But for real, how have you been? I love what you've done with the place!"

"Oh, you know. I'm hanging in there. Just trying to get my Tailoring skill leveled up so I can start making some real equipment." He paused for a moment before backpedaling a bit, the nervousness evident in his voice. "N-not that the gloves you picked aren't great! They're actually my best work yet! Here!" He practically shoved the gloves into her hands once the payment was processed. "Thank you for your business!"

It was then that he noticed the order form lying on the table in front of him. He examined it carefully, brows raising. Perfect Armor was a tall order, especially considering he couldn't even make it yet. He took the form and gave her a smile. "I'll get to work on this as soon as I'm able. You'll get a message when it's done."

With that, he retreated to the back of his shop and approached his seeing station. He cracked his knuckles and sat down, getting to work on some new clothes.

Finally, Bahr had succeeded in creating Perfect Light Armor. He held his creation up to the light to give it a better inspection, a pleased smile stretching from ear to ear. He was proud of his work, but the feeling was melancholy. The first piece of Perfect armor he had created was going to somebody else. To top it off, it had the exact same buffs he aimed to acquire for himself. With a sigh, he packaged the armor and sent a message to Kit.

  Quote

To: @Kityuisa

Hey Kit. I managed to finish that armor you commissioned. Feel free to stop by whenever you're ready and scoop it up. It's packaged and ready to go.

With that, he got to work on more armor, hoping he could complete a set for himself sometime in the near future.

Kityuisa heard the friendly notification ding, checking her messages she saw that Bahr had made her armor, Her eyes twinkled in excitement. She instantly dropped the quest she had been working on and ran all the way to the teleporter. She called out "Teleport! Town of Beginnings!" and made her way to his shop. She walked right on in, her grin massively appearing once again as she saw her armor, "It's perfect! You made it super fast too! Thank you so much Bahr!" She gave the tall man a hug, "You're the best!" She was very very happy with the result.
