History/Personality:

Born Kikyo Joki, she was always an obedient girl. She followed what she was told, and didn't ask questions. This was what had been taught to her her entire life. A girl should not ask of anything, merely take what she is granted. Though it never settled well with her, it was what she did. Her father was the owner of a large delivery company in Japan and they were well off for it. As such, the gifts she was given were many and expensive.

But this wasn't what she wanted. She lusted after a simpler life. One where even if her choices were limited, they were hers. As her parents attempted to marry her off in an arranged marriage straight out of the feudal times, Kikyo broke the meaning of her name and ran away from home. As a hope for escape, she found out about Sword Art Online. Though she wasn't one for video games, the promise of an escape was too alluring for her. With what little money she had left, she bought a headset and the game and put it on the moment she could. Just like that, she was stuck in the game like so many before her.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Virtues:
-  Educated: Though her family never had a high regard for women, they did at least give her a good education. It mostly consisted of acting lady-like, but did have some lessons that aid her well in diplomatic affairs. It wasn't much, but it was something she felt she could rely on when she ran away.
- Eloquent: She has attended the courts of many people high in Japanese society. As such, she has developed a size-able vocabulary and a penchant for poetry. She often recites this poetry as a way of keeping a conversation moving along in case it dulls down.
- Well-dressed: Over everything else, her family emphasized her appearance. She must always keep it looking spotless. Even when running away, she maintained her poise. As such, she always has her appearance looking perfect, if a bit overly glamorous.

Flaws:
- Naive: Being holed up inside of her house for so long has left her blind to many things in the world. She has only been around those who want the "best" for her. Someone could easily manage to betray her trust and she likely would not see it coming
- Quiet: Kikyo isn't shy, but she is easily outspoken. Years of being taught to bow her head in silence left her voice simple and light. It's pretty and easy on the ears, but makes the listener strain to hear it if there are any other noises.
- Subservient: Kikyo doesn't know how to say no. She will take others suggestions, doubting her own to the point of disregarding them. She can hardly hold an independent thought, as much as she would like to.
