About: History/personality
Nishi Kanna was a top grade student before she fell to the trap of the VRMMORPG that is SAO. Due to the strict parents she had her grades were up and that put a lot of weight on her shoulders. Not only did she have to deal with her family's high expectations but also the expectations of her teachers. Some of the other students looked up to her, adding extra weight on her shoulders, but of course there were those certain people that wanted nothing but to undermine everything she worked so hard for. There were also other students that mocked and harassed Nishi because of her high grades. Soon enough everyone would find out the secret that set her aside from higher grade students, one that not even her parents knew of.

Nishi was a big gamer and she loved nothing more then to lose herself in a good MMO RPG. She kept this secret from everyone, not only due to the fear of her parents and teachers being furious, but also the thought of all of the students actually having something to really hit her hard with. There was only one person who knew about this secret, a boy named Koyaro Yakashida, and he was the one that got her into gaming in the first place. When she heard that SAO was coming out she got really excited, but she knew there was a small chance of her being one of the 10,000 players to get the game, so she basically gave up on that chance. One day Koyaro came to her and said he had something for her before showing her a copy of SAO, and she couldn't believe her eyes. To this day she still doesn't know how he got that copy, but in that moment she wasn't one to ask questions.

Virtues:

Sense of humor: once Nishi gets use to a person she can have quite the sense of humor. Her sense of humor normally is quite dull, due to not really ever joking around with her parents, and being an only child, but Koyaro helped her develop one. He basically taught her how to joke around, where boundaries should be set, and how to find a joke in almost any situation.

Photographic memory: ever since Nishi was a kid she was able to remember everything. This not only helped with her school, but also in her every day to day life. This also helped her in video games for remembering quests, locations, special spawn points, and that's where the fun of starting a new game comes for her; all the new stuff to start remembering.

Persistence: throughout Nishi's life she was driven to work as hard as she can in everything she does, and she carries this into her video games. She follows through in everything she does, no matter how hard or challenging it might be. Not only does it help in her school and other life things, but just as much as in video games due to having to try and try again in certain things.

Flaws:

Anxious: due to her always trying to fill everyone's expectations, her mind is constantly filled with thoughts of failing and letting everyone down. This also causes her to freak out as soon as she thinks she failed someone, whether she's right or not, and if its very clear to her she could have a full breakdown because of it. She doesn't really have this effect while playing video games unless she's in a group, because being alone means there's no one to let down.

Callous: due to always trying to please everyone she turned quite cold, not showing the emotions inside her unless she was playing solo in the games. Not showing her emotions is somewhat connected to her anxiousness because if she were to show a negative emotion to the people that had the expectations for her, then she would surely let them down. She mostly just lets her emotions show when on the video games while playing solo, because even if anyone on there saw her, it didn't matter to her.

People pleaser: she always wants to fit in, fill everyone's expectations, and be the girl everyone wanted her to be. Of course that also ties into her anxiousness, because she fears deeply of failing people. She pushes herself fully into pleasing other's, because no one but Koyaro taught her any other way to do anything else.
