Danny Sodona wasn't born into a family of the rich, the famous, nor the successful. No, he was born into just a regular family. Well, that was the case until his other seven siblings came along.

Danny Williams Sodona was born in a small town just barely on the border of Minnesota to an American mother and a Japanese father. To say that his life was normal was an overstatement. Life in the Sodona household was hectic. Eight kids. Eight frekin' kids! They were the basically the wasian Weasleys... but more! Danny was-- cough, unfortunately-- stuck as the Bill Weasley of the family. Fun.

Other than his family of frekin' ten, Danny himself, was normal-- or at least he hoped he was. He had average grades in school. He had average friends. To put it this way, Danny himself was just average. He was a nice kid growing up. Well, he just kind of had to be when he had seven younger siblings to take care of. He was a mature kid at that too, because well, when you have two parents working full time jobs and seven siblings, you just kind of have to grow up. That didn't mean he completely missed out on childhood, though. Who do you take his parents for, a typical cliche, 'too much work to take care of my kid' parent duo? Nah, nah, that's not the case in this story, folks.

Lets fast forward to his school life because apparently everybody likes reading a character's school life. Weird, right?

Okay, yeah, no. There's nothing to read here, folks. He wasn't bullied for his ginormous family, because really, what's so wrong with having that? He wasn't bullied for being a teacher's pet-- even though, he totally was. No, he was actually kind of like that Mary Sue that you would find in some kind of harem manga, really. He was just kind of a nice, chill, kind of brotherly dude that people just genuinely liked. Although, under all of his smiles, he was just a lost kid. He didn't really know what he was going to do in life. And every time he was asked that same, reoccurring and damned question, "what do you want to be when you grow up?" he would just shrug it off and laugh nervously and say something that people wanted to hear like a doctor or a lawyer or some kind of damn engineer.

Most of that kind of flew out the twenty story window when his youngest sister, Skye, was born with prelingual deafness. He knew, right in that moment, that he wanted to teach American Sign Language. Coincidentally, it was actually an option for a foreign language at his high school, so hip-hip hooray for him! It was actually something he picked up fairly quickly to, really, and he even taught the rest of his family, including Skye, the basics of it.

So he finally knew what he was going to do with his life. Great, right? Once he had graduated with a degree in deaf education, he set out to get that sweet, sweet job. It was actually quite harder than you think. Apparently, there were a lot of American Sign Language teachers out there. Whad'ya know, huh?

Well, thank God for connections, am I right?! Apparently his dad's friend's cousin owned a school all the way in Tokyo, Japan... and was in need of an ASL teacher, which in itself was pretty weird since Japan already had its own sign language, but yolo! He agreed to teach and move all the way to Japan, which wasn't really much of a problem since his father had already taught him quite a hefty amount of Japanese while he was growing up.

Let's fast forward again, shall we? Yada, yada, he taught ASL for a year in Japan, yeah, that's cool. Now we need to talk about why he's stuck in SAO in the first place, yeah? Remember when we said that he was just kind of like your average Joe kid? Yeah, you know how kids these days are stuck on video games? Well, Danny boy, right here was kind of one of those kids. He wasn't really the best at video games but give the guy some credit, he had to share everything with seven other kids. So, when SAO came out, he decided to put on his big kid pants and finally spend his money on something that wasn't on necessities.

And for once, he was glad that he didn't have to share this.

EQUIPPED ITEMS:

☀ Ambulance Charm: 1 KEEN, +1 EVA, +1 LIFE MEND

Brotherly: Being the Bill Weasley he is, Danny has always had that kind of older brother vibe around him. He's just that kind of that guy you can just vent to, the kind of guy who'll lend a shoulder for you to cry on, and certainly the type of guy to kick someone's ass if he needs to. He is literally the definition of a big brother figure, seeing that he has literally seven younger siblings.

Optimistic: Danny tends to look on the brighter side of things. He's also the type of guy to just kind of give you positive and optimistic quotes out of nowhere if you're feeling a little bit blue. Hell, he's so positive, it can be frekin' annoying. He doesn't let anything get him down, no matter how sticky the situation might seem!

Lively: Danny just kind of has that aura around him, y'know? He's energetic! He's outgoing! He's full of frekin' life! He's the life of the damn party, that's what he is! There's not a day you don't see him beaming with energy and livelihood and there's not a day where he wasn't spicing something up!

Childish: Yeah, remember when we said that Danny was mature-- or at the very least, seemed mature? Well, part of that was true. Danny still has the brain of a child, but it doesn't mean he can act mature... he just chooses not to most of the time. Sometimes, it feels like he was a ten year old kid stuck in a grown adult's body, and just sometimes this can lead to irrational decision making.

Gullible: Danny is a trusting guy! He's just the type of guy who wants everyone as his friend, y'know? He's not really the type to catch on to lies, either... so have fun with that! Literally, you can pretty much tell him the world is ending and he'll believe it, he's just kind of that gullible.

Absentminded: Danny often finds his head stuck in the clouds, which really makes you wonder,  "wow, how is this dude a teacher?" He doesn't know himself, folks. He'll just sometimes blank out for a few seconds and then probably come back at the stupidest moment.
