Now was the time to give the newbies more attention. He'd already stocked his shop with Accuracy, Evasion, and Damage. Now it was time to focus on Mitigation and Overhealth. For, you see, newbies didn't start out with a whole lot of health. With proper use of consumables, a level one player could have so much Mitigation and health that enemies on par with their level would be unable to kill them. This was a good thing. By keeping them alive, he insured that they had the potential to rise through the ranks just as he had. If they so chose, they could make their way to the Frontlines. Or they could, like Oscar, grow in strength merely to lend that strength to others. Honestly, he didn't care. All that mattered was that he was doing his part.

Oscar was in rare form today. Not in the kitchen. He kinda sucked in the kitchen today. He just wasn't feeling it. Maybe his depression was rearing its ugly head again. Or maybe it was the monotony. He really needed to switch things up a bit. Maybe walk around upside down for a while. Maybe roll through the streets of the Town in a barrel. Maybe. MAYBE. Honestly, he didn't know. Neither did his author. Frankly, he's getting tired of having to write so many words all the time and just can't think of anything write now. Writer's block is a hell of a drug.

Crafting, crafting, crafting. It seemed like that was all Oscar did nowadays. Truly, this was really the only time was was able to relax. His days were filled with errands and adventuring. Not much time for a lot of quiet reflection. There was something about the simplicity of Cooking that put Oscar at ease enough to let him unwind. Today wasn't a good day for cooking, all things considered. But that said, at least he had SOMETHING to add to his stores. He really needed to make a point to fill out his shop with more and more Loot Die enhancements.

"So this is your shop..." Ceres mused with a grin when she entered. "I was expecting an actual hot-dog stand..." She wrinkled her nose as she tapped her lips. "Hmmm....it does still smell like one though - but you are the best cook I know." Ceres turned on her heel to face Oscar. "The only cook, but still the best....ah Anyway...."

She tugged on her long earring. "I was wondering if I could get a strawberries and cream birthday cake - with an ornate sugar flower on top? IT doesn't need any stats or anything...but if it were to have something, maybe luck?"

Ceres fumbled with her HUD "How much would this cost?"

By now, NIGHT had been too much of a mess to even bother stepping away from the alley to grab food. Good thing Oscar's was nearby, and clean enough for her standards. So what if she ate hotdogs every gosh darn meal now? At least she wouldn't be hunted down by some weird orchestration by the system that looked exactly like her, right?

Anticipating an even worse mood over the course of the week, she took one look at the menu and lazily pointed to a few items. "Gimmie two of that," she managed to irk out. "And that. Uh, that too, I guess." She'd then need something for today; a small meal to fill her would be enough. "Then one of each for those two," NIGHT pointed out with two fingers, heaving a heavy sigh. "Sorry for such a large order, Oscar. Here, I'll tally it up for us."

@Oscar

She knew what she needed, and had half of it already. But it was the other half that she still needed really. She needed something that was going to help her find a familiar and she had heard that the cook here was about to make a snack that would do just that. So, walking in, she looked at the cook and offered a smile before she looked at what he had for sale. She grabbed one of the Crazy Lucky Hot Dogs and nodded, knowing that this was going to help her. So she quickly sent the man the Col for the hot dog before she waved, "Thank you for this, have a good one!"

Koga was meandering around the sketchy parts of the Town of Beginnings looking for that one tailor he'd found a while back. The Crappy Buttwipe or something like that. Yeah, I know, weird name, but hey, the armor was anything but crappy. And Koga needed a new set of armor. Ah! There it was! Except for one thing.

GRAGHURGLEAGH!!!

The monster that was Koga's stomach wanted food. Luckily there was a not-hotdog stand right next door! Food first. Crappy buttwipes would be needed later. The man walked into the ramshackle building only to be very surprised by the pristine looking diner that was inside. There was even a sign.

You can eat off of any surface in this restaurant. It's THAT clean.

Yeahhhh, Koga wasn't about to test that theory out...on the other hand, he would try out one of those Crazy lucky Dogs! The man paid the owner the Col and walked out, a very lucky dog!

Cordelia stumbled her way into the shop and looked around. The only time she had ever been here was when Oscar had showed her. . . she's actually never been here to shop before. Well, she was never really one to use buffs, anyway. . . but she guessed she was going to have to if she wanted solo quests. She couldn't always rely on others when she went on a quest! She can't even remember the last time she went on a quest solo, unless it was required to of course. She took in her surroundings and smiled to herself when she read the sign placed on the kitchen door.

"Hey Oscar," she greeted with a smile, giving him a wave. "I just wanted to get a couple of buffs before I head out on a solo quest."

Once she had picked out a few. . . hotdogs, she turned back to him and smiled sheepishly. "Do I get a discount?" She joked, grinning childishly before shaking her head, "nah it's fine, I'll pay full."

She handed him the Col before she flashed him a wave, leaving the shop to begin her "journey".

Benjamin walked up to the hotdog cart in town, craving the taste of home he'd get from here.  It had been a long time since he had a good Chicago dog, and these were looking mighty tasty right about now.  "Hi there! I was hoping to just buy a few basics if that's OK- looking for some food to buff up my searching rates." he asked, unsure of how to fill out the order for something like this.  "Would you be able to make 3 rare dogs with just ketchup, able to boost my LD? I think that would be one of your lucky dogs... and come to about 1,200 col, right?"

While with business on the 1st floor, approached a shop with a dodgy exterior. She was in need of some items for future preparations so she decided to look inside the only active restaurant in the area. The clean hospital-like interior took her a bit by surprise and she even let out a chuckle as she read the sign out loud. After a few more glances around she spotted a menu and began browsing while after saying "Ojamashimasu!", her accent and origins made obvious by the gesture. While she found what she was looking for, the variety of the meals was a bit... heartbreaking. Everything was hot dogs there with nothing else. She let out a sigh as she continued to look through it.

After a few seconds, she closed the menu and started fiddling with her HUD. When she finished she send a message to the owner (@Oscar) containing a list of items she desired. "I'd like at least one of each. I'll take any duplicates too, up to a maximum of 5 each, if you get any. There is no immediate rush but I'd like to have the min. items before the 25th floor boss fight. It's hard to find a good cook in this town!..." said the blonde with a smile, deciding not to comment on the menu variety.

Cordelia sighed as she entered the shop again. She felt like absolute [doo-doo] every time she went here and proceeded to buy anything without paying. She knew that Oscar was okay with her just straight up taking the buff and he was already loaded with money, but heck, she still felt guilty.

"Hey," she said with a small smile, waving at Oscar. "I know you said I could just take them for free but I feel really, really, really guilty when I do, so just take my money okay?" She asked, tilting her head as she let out a loose laugh.

"Anyway, that's all I wanted to get, see you at home later!" She chirped, waving at him before she left the shop with a satisfied smile on her face. All she could do now was hope that he wouldn't pay her back. . . again.
