F01/Grandmaster Cook<<Oscar's Hot Dog Stand>> [Open]

Recommended Posts

You can eat off of any surface in this restaurant. It's THAT clean.

Oh. Standing almost a little stiffly in front of the counter after she rang for the shop owner, her eyes instinctively dropped to the pristine checkered floor. She could've sworn it was glimmering. Polished to a T. And she felt as if she could somehow ruin it by stepping a little too heavily. Weird flex, but okay. Cleanliness did have much appeal to customers nowadays, though no one would expect a restaurant owner to uphold it to this degree.

He should give An some lessons.

"Oh. Hey. How's it been?" Arabelle would greet politely as Oscar showed up. She'd shrugged of her hood earlier as courtesy and her loose purple hair spilled down her shoulders in waves, the fringe hanging low over brown eyes as she perused the items he had in stock. They were all literally just hotdogs. How on earth was she supposed to consume five of these before a battle without getting sick? At the very least, it was easy to distinguish their enhancements. "Hot Dog Stand. You really weren't kidding with that."

A casual comment with a soft giggle.

And nothing more.

Arabelle wasn't in a talking mood today either.

"I'll buy from your current stock..." She pointed at each of the crafts in turn and dropped an indication if she wanted more than one. When she was finished making her selection, she concluded the transaction via trade window and transferred the bought items to her inventory. "And maybe I'll come back for a custom order someday. This certainly appears to be a reliable place. See you around, Oscar."

Baldur pushes his way into Oscar shop for the second time in as many days, since he had met them before they discussed going on the forgotten king quest.

"Ohayo, Oscar-san. I'm just heading out to do some farming. Can I grab an Ultra Lucky Dog, and a Golden Dog please? To go."

Baldur was glad to see the merchant had the items in stock, as it made it much easier for him to go out and farm when the uncommon urge struck him. But the gaijin samurai had a house to build and outfit, and that wasn't going to pay for itself.

As promised, she returned and bought some items. Shortly after a gamewide announcement of the newest event, she'd made a beeline for the shops. Arabelle didn't want to do her shopping late only to find all of the LD items in stock were sold out. She figured it was a possibility; based on the mechanics, LD appeared to be the most important stat for the earlier part of the event, and she didn't want to have to wait around for the stock to be replenished. Nope! Too much precious time wasted.

...she was glad she only had to eat one hotdog at a time though.

She was still waiting on An to finish re-identifying her weapon, on top of the dozen things she just paid the poor merchant girl to do, so over to the hot dog shop she went. Both were conveniently on the same floor and Arabelle already had plans for another Easter egg hunt tomorrow, so it was all for the sake of efficiency.

And she really just wanted to go to bed after her first trip.

"Hey, Oscar," she greeted. Oh goody, he had everything she needed! "That one, that one, and..." Pointing to each one in turn, she traded over her payment and left the shop. Food buffs for tomorrow, check.

Arabelle was getting tired of making trip after trip to Oscar's shop, so on her fourth visit, the girl finally reconciled herself with the fact that she was going to be eating nothing but hotdogs for buffs in the couple more excursions she had planned for Easter. She entered the shop with the intent to buy three LD hotdogs and three Prosperity hotdogs— which was as much as she estimated she would be needing.

At minimum.

After this event, Arabelle would never look at a hotdog the same way ever again.

"Well," said the small purple-haired girl as she approached the counter with her col prepared. "Hi, I'm purchasing from your stock. You know the drill."

Items bought are listed above in the spoiler

Violet entered into the grungy-looking building. even though it was dirty and old on the outside, the inside was immaculate, and well-decorated. She took a note of the sign that claimed that you could eat off of any surface of the establishment, which had her chuckling to herself. It was quite the bold claim, but given that players couldn't get sick from eating off of the floor in this world, it was a perfectly fine assumption to make. She walked over to the counter, picking up 5 hot dogs, 2 of them being of a different, yet very same variety as the other 3. She paid in both col and mats, a genial smile on her face as she did so. The shopkeep seemed rather friendly, and the building reminded her of those old-timey eateries that were seen all the time in old fashioned american movies.

As Alec stepped into Aincrad’s one and only World Famous Hot Dog shop the large man spotted Oscar the shopkeeper and a broad grin broke his stern features. “Ocsar! How are you?” Alec asked in his deep baritone rumble. “It’s been too long.” Alec called out as he approached the counter. “Those Prosperity dogs have been amazing in helping me gain Col. But I;ve got something else on my mind today.” The large man stated as he quickly glanced over the the man’s menu spotting almost instantly what he wanted. “Could I get all six of those Crazy Luck Dogs? I need to up my chances for Loot and those look perfect.” Alec said with a broad smile. “I’ve got six thousand Col right here.” The large man stated as he produced the stack of Col and set it on the counter.

"Ah. ...They're sold out."

NIGHT stood in the middle of the diner, shambling in as though she'd just been sleepwalking. Her gaze had fallen instantly to the spot where the Crazy Lucky Hot Dogs had been, but alas -- they were missing.

Though her conscious was still hazy, she'd managed to catch a glimpse of the Ultra Lucky Hot Dogs. For a moment she wondered what the difference between them were, before gesturing over to her order. Her haul had consisted more than just those dogs alone -- a few more different variants from the display, and NIGHT found herself on her way out.

Once more Alec found himself walking into the Hot Dog Shop owned and operated by Oscar. The smells of warming bread and roasting dogs brought a smile to the large mans face and forced him to lick his lips as he began to salivate. “Greeting again Oscar!” The heavily muscled man called out as he walked through the door. “I just can’t seem to stay away.” He said cheerfully as he approached the counter. “I’m looking for something a little different today. How about a pair of those Negatation Dogs and a three pack of the Focused Dogs. I’ve have a little trouble these last few days.” Alec said as he dropped his deep rumbling baritone into a conspiratorial whisper. “In hitting mobs. My last fight I couldn’t land a single blow.” Alec finished in his whisper befpore returning his voice to normal. “So I’m hoping these’ll do the trick.” Alec ended witha smile and a chuckle. “That should be 3,500 Col unless my maths as bad as my aim.”

Even when NIGHT was awake, she still couldn't believe her eyes.

"Seriously? Again...?!"

She tossed her head backwards, letting out a groan, her liveliness showing through. This sucked. Like, she could put up with a shortage for one of her more preferred items altogether, as long as there was some sort of alternative.

But this? This was unprecedented. On both accounts. The player hadn't expected herself to switch back to using double-accuracy foods, having gotten comfortable with single enhancement items. But then Dracbane came along, and its uses were more than perfect to compliment them again.

And now, out of all times, the accuracy dogs were out. Of course. Just my luck.

NIGHT let out a breath, trying not to fume. "Okay," she resolved. "Y'know what? It's fine. It's cool. Look, just give me those, alright? I'll just go."

And then NIGHT took her leave. Still mad, still fuming. Press F to pay respects, my friends.

As much as she wanted to just make her own food, she didn't have time. The event was ending soon and she had no foods that could fulfill the luck bonus she needed to get the eggs before the event came to a close. She happened upon the hotdog shop run by Oscar. There was a deal going on right now for the event at his shop where he was giving away free hotdog luck items. It was best to make due with what she had and she only need one food to get her through the rest of the event. She walked in, grabbed the food she needed and headed out, thanking Oscar before she made her way out.

"I really don't have time to talk," Bahr admitted as he briskly strode through the front door of Oscar's shop, the bell attached to the door chiming loudly in protest to his sudden invasion. "I'm going to need these as quickly as possible, please," he practically hissed as he placed a pre-arranged list of desired goods on the table in front of Oscar. He placed the col down alongside it, his finger absently tapping against the counter's surface as he waited. When the food was finally produced, he snatched it all up and made for the door without another word.

Purchased:
Focused Dog of Focused Focusness (750 col)
Golden Dog (1000 col)
Big Boy Dog (1000 col)
Ultra Lucky Hot Dog (1000 col)
Titanium Infused Hot Dog (1000 col)
4750 col sent to Oscar

Zandra needed to get some buffs for her next farming days. She had runned out from the last ones. So, she decided to go to the grandmaster cook she knew about. He was the one that have taken up her fallen burn axe. She hoped it would have served him well.

Zandra entered the, from the outside looking, dirty shop. But inside it was the opposite, cleaned everywhere. And it reminded her of one of those restaurant she saw in American movies. When she saw the owner, she walked up to him. ‘’Hello Oscar. Hope everything is fine and that Teseleths fury is serving you well.’’ She started before she handed in her order. ‘’I would need this things cooked, if that can be fixed?’’
