Joanne 0 Posted September 6, 2019 #1 Share Posted September 6, 2019 Joanne packed up her inventory with healing potions and made sure that her sword was sharp and prepared. Today, she would be heading out to train. She needed to get stronger if she ever planned on making it to front lines. That's all she wanted. To get to front lines and help other people. Everyone else wanted to leave this world and go back to the real one just like she did. She paused and stared into the corner of the room, thinking. How long had it been since she had seen her mom's face? Her father's? Her little brother's? 2 years. 2 long years of stagnation. Sighing, she put on her heavy armor and headed out the gates of the city. The sun was shining down on her armor, but luckily it wasn't humid or too hot. Just bearable. First, she took the main road, searching for any clearings or enemies nearby. 20/20 HP | 2/2 EN | 2 DMG | 9-10 BLD | 9 MIT [T1 Uncommon Heavy Armor] Aurora, 9 MIT [T1 Uncommon 1H Straight Sword] Mercy, Bleed (Natural critical attack rolls of 9-10 (1 slot) deal (12 * Tier) unmitigated bleed damage each enemy turn for 2 turns. Joanne 0 Posted September 6, 2019 Author #2 Share Posted September 6, 2019 After walking for about 15 minutes, she saw a shaded path off to her left that split from the main one. She decided to take this path as the shade felt nice against her warming armor, allowing her the chance to cool down. As she walked, she looked around her. Tall oak and birch trees grew around her, seeds and wilted leaves falling down whenever the breeze blew. An acorn dropped on her helmet, creating a hollow "dink" noise. She looked up. Just two squirrels play-fighting over food. A small smile crossed her lips as she lowered her gaze back to the front of herself and carried on. Mother nature was at peace for now. That's why she liked this floor. It was the most peaceful one in her eyes. The enemies weren't too rough or aggressive usually, and there were still small woodland creatures like the ones she would see back home. In fact, now that she thought about it, the woodish parts of this floor reminded her of the woods next to her town back at home.
Joanne 0 Posted September 6, 2019 Author #3 Share Posted September 6, 2019 She thought back to her childhood. She remembered playing in the woods with her younger brother, who was 2 years her junior. They would play with wooden, make-shift swords, pretending to be Robin Hood and the evil Sheriff. They took turns playing each part, but Joanne always preferred and loved being Robin. She would stand atop a rock and face her brother, who was playing the Sheriff of Nottingham, and say, "I am Robin Hood! You have stolen the money from the good citizens of England, and you shall return what you have taken or face your death!" Then she would draw her sword and look down it at her brother. He would always something along the lines of "I'll have your head" or "Time to die". Then they would charge at each other and hit their wooden swords together. Eventually one of them would knock the sword out of the other's hand and they would both go around chasing each other until their mother called that dinner was ready. As quick as they had started playing, they would stop, running at full speed back to the dining table for supper.
