The door bell jingled to herald the arrival of a player. Unfortunately, the Player was Corvo, and he looked more frustrated than anything. He glowered all the way to the clerk and placed a fistful of col on the counter. "I need an accuracy boost," he said. "This is all the money I've got. What can I get with it?" 

His eyes moved around the shop carefully as he waited for the response and listened carefully. Artistic and ornate, the wares seemed more like baubles than accessories; but inside of this game, even something like that seemed endearing. It was enough to make him want to throw up in his mouth. He muttered something unintelligible about how annoying some of the aesthetics were, but anyone trying to make out his words might only glean a string of profanity fit to humble a sailor.

After a few moments of visible annoyance, he took a deep breath and then sighed. None of his grumbling would change that he needed to improve his stats in order to move forward. He had to move forward in order to... well, why was he doing it? Didn't none of this actually matter? No- it wasn't that it didn't matter. He was tired. Tired of the others doing whatever they wanted, acting self righteous, treating him like he was less of a person because he hadn't gotten right to work becoming a frontliner.

He didn't care about any of that.

Corvo just wanted to stab something.

She was determined to do things now, instead of just helping around the town, so she needed to find herself some luck. She had heard that there was a Master Artisan who was able to make some loot die trinkets and things, and well, that was exactly what she needed. She walked down the south-eastern side of the town until she saw the store that she was looking for. Seeing that it was open, made her smile as she walked in and looked around for a few moments before she spotted what she hoped she was looking for, and there was even some in stock. She saw NIGHT and smiled to the woman, "Hello, I was hoping to be able to buy one of your Red Omamori's." Dynasty wasted no time in transferring over the amount that was owed for the trinket either, she was happy to have this item.

Alice blinked -- slowly.

Inches from her feet, a sunlight-kissed doorstep led into the polished interior of a little blue shop. Evening... Star...? The words passed through her head without any real meaning. She wasn't quite sure of how she ended up in this part of town, but the artisan's workshop didn't appear as imposing as its neighbors. Her aimless foray continued.

"Um. Hello?"

Her voice was nearly inaudible, even in the midst of empty space. The fog in her mind cleared just enough for her to give an involuntary flinch at the sound of it. She wasn't alone, she realized then. Movement from the sitting area beside the stairs sharpened her attention to the presence of another inside the shop. Why did she think it was empty? Scarlet eyes glanced at NIGHT, immediately fixating elsewhere at the woman's greeting. "Just looking--" that probably wasn't the right word, she scoured the shelves as though the action would spell the words out in her mind "--looking around the shops... here. Actually."

It wasn't a long walk. Red silk fabric carefully taken onto her palm, the player examined the charm's attributes. Just-in-case purchases weren't a habit of hers, but considering how everything in Aincrad relied on one's stats, she was certain she'd inevitably run into an occasion where she would wish for the item's boon.

No? Well it sure looked like her. It was strange how Aincrad kept sending out newbies with white hair and red eyes. The player wondered briefly, as she observed the fresh-face scour the shop, if that happened to be the current fashion trend among new adventurers while she wasn't looking. With a shrug to herself, she went back to the novel in her hands.

"Understood. Let me know if you need anything."

Only when the stranger's voice pierced through the silence again did her eyes flit off the page, towards the item in her customer's hand. And to imagine, for a heartbeat, she'd doubted her original assumptions. 

This was the sort of reason she stayed on the first floor, anyway.

"Easily," NIGHT said. The omamori was the last of its kind on the shelf, so she'd have to make more. And whilst she was frequently the type for formalities, no doubt a starter would've loved to utilize such a trinket in their beginner lessons questline. So the paper packaging would've been a waste. Instead, the player returned the other a curt nod. "Thank you for your purchase. Take care out there."

After some failures at actually hitting things, she knew what it was that she needed right now. Some accuracy. So, knowing where she would find a trinket that could help her, she walked right back to the artisan shop that she had been to before. She quietly, but happily, waved a hello to NIGHT as she walked in before she started to look around the wares that the artisan already had in stock and made. There was only one that caught her eye right away, a Small Peppermint Sack. It was very well crafted, and it reminded her of the peppermints that she used to always snack on while in school. So, picking up one of the trinkets, she sent the payment to NIGHT. "Thank you again, your wares are very helpful!" She waved again before going outside, ready to see how well this helps her boost her attack rate.

Walking into the shop, he looked around. It had an interesting theme to it. Walking up to the counter he rings the bell to let NIGHT know that someone’s here. The artisan glanced over the rest of the request, silently making her way to the back room -- though only a name for the item was given, already thoughts about the glacial beast on the fourth were trickling into her head.

Not that her creation reflected its likeness, of course. NIGHT was more original than that.
