A figure clad in shadows approached and paused before the shop stoop.  He hadn't been here in a while, but the place hadn't changed in the slightest.  Around him marched echoes of his own form, unnatural in number and the manner of their movements.  They gazed collectively at the beam of light illuminating the door, as if some sort of ward had been erected against their passage.

Wait here.

All but one of the shades fell back and disappeared.  The last, Montjoy, linked with his master for the sake of maintaining appearances.  Neither winced or reacted at all while crossing the threshold.  Once inside, Freyd quickly spotted what he sought.  

"I'd like one of those please.  My assistant just ran off with the last similar item that I'd purchased.  When you have a spare moment, I was hoping to have a few additional items crafted, as well."

The room was cold at his entrance, or perhaps that was only from the perspective of the player in question, the topic of her secondary riding at the forefront of her thoughts.

The mesh was constructed, wrapped in colourful paper. An application of the sticker seal was made in moments before she slid it across the counter to her client. A nod and a hum in understanding. "Come again."

She watched Freyd take his leave, then waited a couple of minutes. NIGHT proceeded to rise from her seat, turning off the lights.

But something about this store, tucked away in an obscure alley, catches her attention. Her eyes dart briefly to the bell atop the door as it jingles, announcing her. So much for just checking it out and leaving without catching anyone's attention.

The woman's voice cements it. "Is there anything you're looking for?"

She grimaces, eyes darting to the end of the stairs and spotting the woman there. "Ah, hey there." She clears her throat and makes her way down the stairs. She's not so rude as to walk right out after being noticed. "I need things to help me out… there." She gestures vaguely. The big bad outdoors.

Under the woman's sharp gaze, she mechanically marches to a shelf where a cloth pouch perches, and picks it up.

After having traversed through the Town of Beginnings several times over, Marius would eventually come across a small store that had gone by the name of 'The Evening Star.' He had heard the rumors of this place quite awhile ago but had never managed to take the time to come down here. Now that he was here though... he wasn't quite sure how to feel. The setting of the store had been rather shady overall but that was likely for a reason, right? Right? 

Regardless of whatever the truth behind that situation had been, Marius had been here on business. He had to try and ensure that he would leave with something beneficial to his newfound purpose. If he intended to become a crafter like so many others, he was going to need to find something that could aid him in said cause.

Taking a moment to look around the shop, the elderly man would nod several times over.  The various bits and bobbles that had been spread about the store had seemed to have some value but they weren't quite what he was looking for. At least... not at first. After quite a bit of searching, the old man would finally lay his eyes upon a small cloth pouch. It wasn't something that he had understood at first but the stats behind it? Now those were something that he had understood. "Perfect. This is exactly what I was aiming for. I'll just... leave the col here for whoever runs this shop so... Thanks for your business! I'll be sure to stop by again!" With that he would purchase said sack and head on out.

The rattle of an entry as she breached it, a slow twist as she spoke into the backdrop. "Yo, anyone in here?" A bit of a shrill intrigue to her tone, wasn't exactly subtle. "I kinda need something, Not a clue what it would be. Just make me, I dunno luckier. Luck is always broke in these games right?"

A ruffle into a pocket on her right hip, she peels up a pile of tiny silver nickles and dumps them onto the counter top with a rattle. "I don't got forever, chop chop."

A small, slinky thing made of inky black darkness hopped casually up on the counter, preening as it gingerly pranced along its surface and surveyed the local assortment of goods with disinterested azure eyes.  Everything else about Persi was an amorphous mystery, but those eyes were akin to displaying her soul rather than just serving as windows.  Maybe shadows have no ability to contain souls?  It would explain a great many things if that were so.  Perhaps they could only serve as vessels or reflections to the souls of others?  Now, wouldn't that be interesting?

A gentle clink of fine metalwork set onto hardwood broke the cadence behind the familiar's grand entrance.  Her 'Lummox' was causing a clatter again.

Freyd scrawled a quick digital note, having failed to spot the elusive woman anywhere in her shop.  She'd helped him when he first started and thought she'd appreciate knowing that he was doing the same for others, following her example.

'Attention's Gaze', the request slip had said. And yet, if only she'd been paying attention to her store. Certain key wares were out of stock, and two duties to the player base were owed.

Better late than never, she supposed. The player had always been one to work quick, recently, and it was on the system how her creations maintained their polish.

She wasn't sure how to comment on the butterfly hairclip -- half of her was certain it wasn't meant to stay on, and the other was too immersed by its beauty. On the other hand, it looked just the same as the merged refurbished spectacles once it was tucked into a paper packaging, ready to be served for a pick-up notice.

A flutter of wind wrought flickering flames, causing shadows to dance upon the nooks and crannies of the space.  Something creaked while the ambiance calmed and re-settled into stilled perfection of place at peace with itself, undisturbed by the bumping of NIGHTly things.  Twin azure eyes opened and closed at the light's edge, purring a silent frustration at the chill outdoors and venting by her gaze frustration that she would soon be dragged there again.  Fingers, spiderlike in length with a cladding of supple black hide, grasped the package prepared and paid for.  An instant later, it was gone, and all was as before.

Pointing to the single piece, she'll look around and softly say, "Excuse me, would it be possible to purchase one of these lovely pieces? If there's any available, that is..." Taking in the remainder of the stock, she'll notice for the first time a small box - similar in design to something she herself used to own. 

"Oh, and one of these too! I love these!"

He was back again, and far sooner than expected, but rumours told that The Evening Star’s goods had recently been restocked, and there were a few convenient items he needed replenished.  Unexpected encounters had let him to hand out more freebies than expected.  ‘Investments’ he kept telling himself.  Raidou would hand the world every tool available for its own sake.  Freyd’s nature required more convincing.  These seemed like good deals, as were NIGHT’s wares.  It was time to connect the two.

"For an old friend," Freyd muttered, seeming lost in wistful thoughts that hadn't quite run their course and hit the harsh wall of conclusion that awaited him.
