Shuffling slowly into the shop, an elderly gentlemen with tangled white hair ambled in, making sure to remove his footwear before stepping into the shop proper.  Carefully examining its wares, he smiled pleasantly to himself, as if each one reminded him of a life lived tot he fullest and overflowing with treasured memories. Some, it seemed, were less so, his features dimming slightly as he looked inward.  But his good nature always returned.  Dressed in simple clothing, not even carrying a weapon - so unusual these days, it seemed - Foyle gathered up those things that most caught his fancy.

"I'll take these, please, young miss.  If you don't mind?  I've been told such things can be very helpful here.  Oh, and you do very fine work, by the way.  I'll be sure to recommend this place to others."

Face and eyes worn with care and age alike, he thanked her politely for her efforts before slowly putting his shoes back on and leaving as inconspicuously as he'd arrived.

Unnoticed, even by the last occupant, a young man of slight and slender stature had slipped into the shop and could be found wandering its wares  Dressed in a long leather coat and sporting what look like aviator goggles, a vest and toolbelt beneath his overcoat are laden with all manner of fine tools, instruments and devices.  Where some find sentiment or beauty in such works, Jeeves was purely concerned with technical precision and craftsmanship.  Every piece was scrutinized, right down to surveying its surface for miniscule flaws.  A magnifying monacle  kept close to his heart emerged more than once to assist with the task.

Finally, his assessments complete, Jeeves wandered over to the vendor with a reserved smile perched on his lips.  Miri had told him he had to do so before talking to people, even if he didn't feel like it.

"These are good," he added, bruskly, "I'll take the lot."  A suitable sum was provided, the boy sweeping up his new trinkets and adding them to his already vast assortment, leaving without another word.

two forms. one of them... came with a half-eaten meal.

night took one look at nyanko, who was grooming himself, before examining the food left behind. it was cold by now -- nothing the kitchenware couldn't heat up, she was sure. still, she wasn't exactly sure what her homestead would say if she was caught eating out of her own familiar's dinner plate. that thought unnerved her just a little less than the idea of wasting food.

so she bullied her kitten a little. nyanko didn't hold the capacity to understand what his owner had meant. while the player was off having her dinner, he played artisan to the couple of goodies left for customers, napping calmly by them in a loaf.

The scruffy bladesman returns to retrieve the sound crystal, bowing politely to the shopkeeper and her feline assistant. "Excellent work, many thanks to you." he says, admiring the simple beauty of the prism.

"I'll be using this to open my own shop sometime soon. I'd be honored to offer you a free song crystal - redeemable when I can make something at a useful tier to you." he says with a grin.

"Good morning. I was hoping you might take some custom orders for me. I'd like a pair of trinkets to swap out. One for the battlefield, and another for my workshop. Will these forms suffice?"

Nyanko approached, and Acanthus reflexively held out her hand. As the cat warmed up to her, she became increasingly engrossed in petting the cat. I may need a cat for my workshop as well. A quick, playful nip from Nyanko reminded her to drop the completed forms off.

Once she had set the forms down, she pushed back the broad-leafed plants barricading the front and returned outside to the Town of Beginnings.

between her lanky form from the lack of the dress up and the brunette locks, she must've looked like an average refugee on the first, wandering in just to take in the shop's sights. hands in her jean's pockets, a white shirt, looking half sloppy. perhaps that's why the guard didn't seem to stir, either. so, just as silently as she'd came, nian snuck a choice few pieces left out behind the counter before slinking away without a trace. they wouldn't track her down, she figured. and neither would they be able to, if nian had did this right.

night didn't exactly expect to keep track of the order forms that came in. processed once with the requests per customer, and they were discarded. the fact that she'd considered even taking note of the players that had dropped by recently was... different.

two performers. new faces, at that. right when her stock was starting to get low.

she turned out the ring and fork with a polished finish, much like the prism she'd crafted earlier. packaged in patterned rice paper, she left the deliveries with nyanko -- and the latter, a small bowl of salmon for his hard work.

Oscar had gotten distracted and hadn't realized that NIGHT had finished his commission in short order. Finally, though, he was cleaning out his inbox and noticed the message and made a beeline straight for The Evening Star to pick up his new toy. As he plucked the trinket off the counter, he wanted to stop and ask if NIGHT had enjoyed her meal. But after discovering that she was nowhere to be found, he decided it best to move on. He was still on the outs with the Tarot as things stood. And while NIGHT hadn't outright voiced her support to one side of the schism or the other, he thought it best to make himself scarce.

“Hello again.” She bent down to pet the cat once more. After the day she had, it was a welcome way to relax. She noticed the orders in the corner, next to a bowl of salmon. Admiring the craftwork, she slipped the ring on. She felt an immediate sense of comfort. It wasn’t actually her mom’s ring, but the artisan had somehow managed a near perfect replica. Turning to the tuning fork, she almost gave it a ring in the shop before remembering her description to the artisan. Best to wait until I’m outside.

Consulting the pricing chart one more time, Acanthus counted out 1,000 col for her two Tier 1 Perfect trinkets. Flipping over her letter, she hastily wrote, “I believe this is the amount for the objects I have requested. If that is not the case, please come and find me at my shop on the 24th floor. I will take care of the difference.” She left payment by the bowl of salmon, scratched Nyanko behind the ears one last time, and left the shop.

The ringing bell rattles and causes Majineko to halt with jubilant eyes, finding herself enraptured by the jingling. It wouldn't be until the shopkeeper or otherwise came within purr view that she'd break from the sudden trance, until then she'd sit idle on her tip toes making swipes at the ringing.

"Meowdy, I need a thingy. I got money." The girl ruffles through her pockets for a bit, withdrawing a bundle of twine, a section of fish bone and a few buttons. "Nyah~" She squeals receiving the thing she needed to start her journey in earnest. What greets her eyes is the shopkeeper, a tiny black cat. The girl hunches down on all fours and begins to conversate much to the dismay of all within proximity. In a series of growls and yowls, a purchase is confirmed in a language most could not palette. Slipping it on the strange piece of equipment attached to her ass, it plays the part of bracelet for the thing before she smiles in a mischievous grin and vaults herself back out into the town of beginnings. A handful of wares for the cats master and the bundle of twine lighter.

Huh. It was just… a cat? When he was recommended this place by the man who made his starter gear he expected the shop to be pretty similar to their own.

Well, he wasn’t particularly bothered by the lack of any human interaction; in fact he enjoyed it, as he reached out to pet the little familiar— at least that’s what he assumed it was— on the head, smiling softly before going off to peruse and purchase.

He was recommended to get something to help with his accuracy, and when his eyes landed on some rings that would well suit his appearance, he swiped his menu open to get himself a set.

The quiet clicks of his boots echoed into the shop's intricate decor. He almost felt like he was walking in a whole new world exploring from one end of the city to the other. Eyes would look at the entrance as if he stepped into a portal and thought he had entered some sort of dimension for royalty. His thoughts were interrupted as he noticed a noir cat and stared at it for a moment. No one else seemed to around but he did notice the bell that had been placed. " Este lugar se ve increíble..." He whispered in Spanish while looking around at the items.

From one counter to the other, red eyes would survey the available items for purchase before landing on a wolf pendant. This seemed extremely intriguing to him as he found what he was looking for. He looked at the inlay and the craftsmanship and it was quite nice looking for a beginner like him to wear. 

Left hand would ring the bell and look at the price. He placed his fingers upon the pendant and placed the 500 col Present.

Stepping into the Evening Star, Scarlet was immediately entranced by the aesthetic. She’d been in three player ran shops now and all of them had their own amazing flair. This one was quaint with well-kept vegetation decorating the interior, along with a cute little cat sitting on the counter who was slightly annoyed with being woken up from his nap.

She would look around the store, sighing in relief when she found the particular item that she was needing. Upon taking it to the counter the cat would stand up expectantly waiting for the payment. “Hello, cute little kitty where is the shop owner?” She’ll ask giving the feline some love and attention. Her eyes would gravitate to a sign left by the missing person in question.

’nyanko is running the store while I’m out. please leave payment with him.” -NIGHT

She was interested in the stylization of not capitalizing anything but their entire name. Her formal education of the romanized alphabet was limited, of course. She would pay the cat and fill out a form for the item she couldn’t find. It would take her awhile… so Nyanko would have a friend for some time.

At 9 AM sharp on a Tuesday, Morningstar stumbled into the Evening Star. In one hand, he carried both a mechanical boar and a tiny little ring made of the purest silver he could find. He was dead set on destroying both of them.

More accurately, he would be requesting their fusion. "Morning, NIGHT," he said on his way inside. He tossed the required items her way, and gave her the information for the new item. It was a commission (that nobody had officially asked for), and he needed it done as quickly as possible.

If that meant going out of his way to acquire something that helped their build while leveling, he would do it. That was exactly the reason he found himself in The Evening Star. He was in luck, too. The shop was well stocked, and the owner had just what he needed. He paid up front, in Col, and nodded his thanks. Omen chose the pendant, not the ring. He thought the pendant looked cooler.

Firefly would wait some time for the shopkeep to return to fill her order. Truth be told, she was very interested in watching them make their craft. However, given that they chose to keep a cat as an employee, she assumed that they wouldn’t be back for a while. Nyanko would get offered some final pets before she decided to leave.

And the next day she would return. The item was left with Nyanko to be given to her. She would exchange the necessary funds with the cute kitty and deliver the attention she was now obligated to give to the black cat.
