"nyanko," the artisan called out just as she opened the door. alongside the chime of a door bell, there was a soft thump as the clerk landed from his position on a shelf, picking up the order forms before scampering to her position. nyanko looked up at his owner with large eyes, expectant – and so too did night lower herself to cherish her familiar with pets and coos.

a moment later, the feline was playing supervisor to the packaging for the few custom items. night looked over the headband, curious, before trying it on. a little tight – so she made some adjustments before placing it alongside the hair pin in a paper bag.

iris had expected to see night the first moment she'd entered through the door. after all, who leaves their workshop listed as 'open' while having it unmanned? still, what was surprising wasn't the fact that the artisan was out (although iris felt that she had certain words for the player to have done so) but rather the fact that there was a stray cat who'd taken over the shop.

it was only after a few chin scratches and her preparations to leave that she'd realized her error in judgement. for, despite the ruthlessness of the feline on her fingers, he'd still managed to fetch her the feather she was looking for.

At first, he'd hesitated with entering - his needs far from related to the small trinkets and pretty-things that the windows had offered, but his wit had got the better of him, reminding him that in this world even the most mundane looking necklace could possibly come with some sort of benefit.

A you man, barely more than a boy entered the shop, quietly scraping his boots and setting them aside prior to roaming.  Hi mop of mousy brown hair swayed slightly in an effervescent manner, as if his entire being wafted on the cloud.  Bright blue eyes absorbed every piece on display, looking but not touching, for that would be rude.  He didn't like rude people.  They were often also the mean ones.  

"Can I have those please," he mumbled into his own collar, "I can pay."  Pulling a handful of odds and ends gathered off the streets of by means of charity,  Jeeves waited patiently for the items to be handed to him.  Wonder sparkled in his vast blue iris, a pair of industrial-looking goggles strapped to his brow, smeared with grease and who knew what manner of grime.  About to turn and leave, his feet paused as he hesitated in the manner of a child and turned back towards the shop keeper.

"Thank you very much.  I will treasure these."  Bowing quickly, he ran out the door, nearly forgetting his footwear but retrieving it in the final moment.

[Crux 0]

In the wreckage of fragmented memories, Crux has a self to discover. Years of gaming and being traumatized to act and memory loss had the teenager on unstable footing but that would not stop him from persevering forward. Months he spent talking to others, NPCs, beginners who hadn’t felt the urge to fight for their lives and he, too, joined them in the mundane until he felt it to be too much. The call of battle, the call to reclaim his life too great to continue to waste the years by simply existing. 

So, he entered The Evening Star with a blank expression, eyes cautious but wildly drinking in the sight of peculiar items and trinkets as though parched while the bell toll of his visit. Crux wasn’t certain on the steps forward but the information broker suggested two things to do before starting the game off properly – securing items that adventurers would have fought tooth and nail for when they first started this death game and venture to the sixth floor to face his own wilds and claim victory. 

He wasn’t certain what that last part even meant, or if it was for him exactly, but the teen eyed out the jewelry and nodded when he found what he was looking for. With a black cat and his tail rubbing against the bell, Crux readied his starter fund and offered up 500 col and 3 material for a discouri and a crystal.

A small bell chimed above his head as Wulfrin entered The Evening Star. He had been recommended to come visit by Freyd, since he was new to Aincrad.

"Cozy place," Wulfrin remarked as he made his way down the path to wards the main counter. The cat that was set upon it eyed him as if expecting something. "I take it the owner left you in charge?" He pat the counter's attendant gently on the head before starting his look around the cases. His gaze became fixed on two items in particular, a pair of ear cuffs and a blue crystal. The cat gave a soft meow that sounded almost like affirmation. Taken as a sign go through with it, Wulfrin debated on his form of payment. He eventually settled on materials. 

"Is the owner in?" Wulfrin asked to the empty store after ringing the small bell on counter. He gave the feline attendant a quick scratch under the chin. It reciprocated with some purrs followed by a quick nibble on the fingers.

She would notice a cute black cat on the counter. It began mewing at her the moment they locked eyes, but Tokki would peruse the section first, grabbing two items from the owners stock and bringing it to the counter where she paid the appropriate amount then gave the cat some affection. “Thank you for the gear Mr. Cat.”

then, he was promptly caught by the resident furry guardian. nyanko waved his tail about, giving him a careful stare -- so demian acknowledged that he had to play nice. picking up a set of recently stocked items, he paid the storekeep in head pets and a secret whispered in his ear. then, demian left, toying with the ring in his hand.
