Lonzo 0 Posted November 24, 2019 Author #81 Share Posted November 24, 2019 (edited) Lonzo didn't say a word this time. He just looked almost lazily at his opponents and activated >>Smash<< once more against them. He ran towards the first picking up speed and his axe found it's mark as he saw a faint blue line across the nepent. He turned quickly and ran at the second nepent. With an arc of his axe and several swings the Nepent burst into tiny fragments. He turned and glared at the nepent that survived. He twirled his axe and was ready to strike his enemy once more. They were lucky he couldn't activate his sword art more than once or he honestly would have tried to do it. He exhaled through his nose and got ready for another dance with the creature. Again he remained silent in these moments. He had nothing more to say to these creatures. Perhaps this was his true nature that he hid from others. Out of kindness. 130262 7 6 3 1 130263 9 6 15 2 Lonzo >>smash<< hits nepent 1 for 4dmg Lonzo >>Smash<< hits nepent 2 for 4 +1 = 5 * 2 = 10 dmg plus bleed Nepent 1 misses Nepent 2 dead HP 98/100 Energy 4/10 DMG 4 Mit 18 Acc 0 Eva 0 Luck 0 Nepent 1 HP: 3 Mitigation: 0 Damage: 3 Nepent 2 HP: 0/7 Mitigation: 0 Damage: 3 Edited November 24, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 24, 2019 Author #82 Share Posted November 24, 2019 (edited) Lonzo went up to the quaking Nepent. He brought his axe up to it and watched it tremble in fear. He swung his two handed axe down against his foe missing on purpose a fire in his eyes. The nepent in kind started to run away from Lonzo. Lonzo frowned and looked up at the trees knowing wood was in fact used in materials, so did that mean the trees could be felled. Lonzo cracked his neck and bolted after the Nepent taking off like a shot. His body felt strange. Heavy from the armor and yet light with his second wind. It wouldn't take the knight very long to catch up to his prey. He was surprised to see the creature one, had it caught on it could not win? It didn't matter to Lonzo in the end. He had a duty to fulfill. With that kept kept on the Nepents heels, making sure not to stumble himself. 130264 2 4 1 1 Lonzo did Normal attack and missed Nepent missed HP 98/100 Energy 3/10 DMG 4 Mit 18 Acc 0 Eva 0 Luck 0 Nepent 1 HP: 3 Mitigation: 0 Damage: 3 Nepent 2 HP: 0/7 Mitigation: 0 Damage: 3 Edited November 24, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 24, 2019 Author #83 Share Posted November 24, 2019 (edited) Lonzo cased after the Nepent and while he did so he swung his axe. He knew he'd miss but he wanted to test something. He glanced to his right after he made his swing and saw a text box flag up a few times. >>Immortal Object<< so these trees here were not meant to be cut done. He turned back with a sour face glaring at the Nepent that was trying to flee, as if it were it's fault that his plan to crush it under a tree failed. The nepent felt the gust flair from behind it and used it's roots to run out through the forest with an angry knight running at it with great speed. The nepent tries to use it's whips to strike the knight but fails as it can't see where to aim at all. Lonzo could easily see the creature telegraph it's moves and moved out of it's way. 130265 5 2 19 4 HP 98/100 Energy 3/10 DMG 4 Mit 18 Acc 0 Eva 0 Luck 0 Nepent 1 HP: 3 Mitigation: 0 Damage: 3 Edited November 24, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 24, 2019 Author #84 Share Posted November 24, 2019 (edited) Lonzo swung his axe as he was approaching the nepent and saw a box flag up. It startled him for a moment. >>Immortal Object<< He had to reread it a few times, at first assuming it meant the nepent. He waved his hand over the box agrivated. How could the game allow for an immortal monster?! This was a death trap for sure but that could mean a boss could just show up and be immortal. He felt his stomach turn at that thought. Knowing there could be traps that stop players from using a crystal to escape. What was the point to all of this then? He looked ahead of himself and saw his axe had hooked onto a tree which forced Lonzo to narrow his eyes, a growl escaping his lips. The nepent turned and saw it's chance to strike. It lunged at Lonzo. The knight however removed his axe from the tall tree and moved behind it allowing the nepent to faceplant itself right into the tree. The text box flagged up once more. >>Immortal Object<< "Heh." Lonzo smiled, but soon it faded away and he returned to his deadpan face. 130269 1 9 5 1 HP 98/100 Energy 2/10 DMG 4 Mit 18 Acc 0 Eva 0 Luck 0 Nepent 1 HP: 3 Mitigation: 0 Damage: 3 Edited November 25, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author #85 Share Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) Lonzo swung his axe again and the nepent quickly moved away from him and took off like a shot running away from him. It's vines flailing in the air in a panic as it used the trees as cover from Lonzo's attacks. However it seemed it couldn't aim worth it's roots while fleeing from the knight who gladly and murderously gave chase hoping to fell the monster to help heal the boy. He paused and looked else ware for another nepent to fight instead feeling this one would only flee from him. Not spotting one however he turned his gaze upon it and readied his axe and charged forwards, weaving between trees trying to catch up to the mob. It was only a matter of time before he did with fire in his eyes. His grip on his axe was tight and every inch of him was ready to land a hit on the monster before him. 130274 4 5 10 2 Lonzo misses Nepent misses HP 98/100 Energy 0/10 DMG 4 Mit 18 Acc 0 Eva 0 Luck 0 Nepent 1 HP: 3 Mitigation: 0 Damage: 3 Edited November 25, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author #86 Share Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) As Lonzo caught up to fleeing nepent he struck it against it's roots to knock it over. The tried to stand but burst into blue light from a stab from Lonzo's axe again. He then closed his eyes. He knew full well what would spawn now. He acted like a berserker at this point, turning to view the land before him. He wanted to slaughter even more of the lippy carrots. His own goal now was to kill and slay. A part of him didn't even want to stop anymore. It was almost fun. The warning sound echoing over the forest didn't even reach Lonzo's ears. He took off, leaving heavy boot prints in the ground as he looked for his prey. What was it he needed to do again? The knight was beginning to forget. The sun was getting lower and the air had a chill to it, and yet Lonzo felt like a roaring furnace. 130276 6 8 5 1 Lonzo hits with basic attack 4dmg Nepent dead HP 98/100 Energy 0/10 DMG 4 Mit 18 Acc 0 Eva 0 Luck 0 Nepent 1 HP: 0/1 Mitigation: 0 Damage: 3 Edited November 25, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author #87 Share Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) As he charged he went to swing and missed. His eyes widened as he did a full spin. The variant went to strike Lonzo and the gust from Lonzo's attack caused the vines of the variant to contort and bounce away from the knight. Lonzo frowned at the variant. His hair spiraling upwards in the gust he formed around himself. The fire in his eyes was bright and the aloofness he had moments ago in his face was gone and now replaced with an intensity that could shake most at their core. The variant would have to fight with all it's might from here in or be slaughtered by the unrelenting berserker. Lonzo got into a stance and the wind surrounding him was cut by the axe and caused a loud boom that could be heard for miles. It was the variant's move in this deadly dance of steel verse thorn. The knight would not allow himself to be bested. He would prevail and his eyes showed his absolute resolve. 130279 5 3 1 2 HP 98/100 Energy 0/10 DMG 4 Mit 18 Acc 0 Eva 0 Luck 0 Nepent Variant HP: 15/15 Mitigation: 5 Damage: 10 Nepent Variant ignores armor mitigation on a natural roll of 10 Edited November 25, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author #88 Share Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) The Variant saw it's opportunity and brought it's vines down against Lonzo's head, but Lonzo just stared right at the being in front of him. He slashed his axe back in retaliation which was enough for the variant to move it's vines away from him. It faced him quietly. Lonzo didn't change his posture or his frown. However the light in his eyes started to fade as he looked board again. He was being almost too kind, letting the creature have hope it would best Lonzo in a duel. Yet Lonzo did not exchange words of violence or malice. A complete calm was over him, and some might argue it's of the same nature as divine rage. He stood there waiting for the monster to strike him again. As if to give it time to flee perhaps? The variant tried to calculate what was happening. It wasn't normal for a player to stop their attack in the face of death. 130287 1 1 3 9 Nepent deals 5+1 = 6 - 18mit = 1dmg to lonzo Lonzo - misses HP 97/100 Energy 0/10 DMG 4 Mit 18 Acc 0 Eva 0 Luck 0 Nepent Variant HP: 15/15 Mitigation: 5 Damage: 10 Nepent Variant ignores armor mitigation on a natural roll of 10 Edited November 26, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author #89 Share Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) The field boss tried to swing again and Lonzo slashed at it's attack again with his axe causing another gust of wind to defend himself against the beast. Twigs started to fall and were ripped asunder which made the field boss leery on striking the knight. Lonzo raised his head proudly against the field boss. Proud he kept it from moving and keeping it confused. True he didn't harm the giant but he didn't allow it to flee or strike him again. He'd have to master these things if he ever wanted to defend his friends from an onslaught of death from within the game. He was beginning to understand he had to put himself in the motions of doing things to actually be good at this game. His eye hand coordination had to be on par with everything to work like a well oiled machine. The winds around him died down and blue shards formed where the cut branches were. Lonzo took note of that. The trees might be immortal but the branches were not. 130290 1 1 7 1 Edited November 25, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author #90 Share Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) The variant saw it's opportunity and struck Lonzo in the chest trying to knock him back, but that knight did not move. He instead raised his axe to cut off the limb that damaged his health bar. Yet the monster drew it's tenticel back out of fear. Lonzo's eyes went from the grotesque appendage to the creatures mouth, as it had no eyes to see with. His eyes then went up to the creatures forehead once more. Even if this beast was winning right now he had his sights set on where it's vulnerabilities were.So far the lips, and the large forehead seemed to be the best places to strike the monster. Still it was hard to hit both with how tall the being was, and being tired after fighting it's minis was rather cumbersome as well. He wondered who this creature reminded him of. Maybe someone he knew from the past? 130381 5 8 3 8 Edited November 25, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 25, 2019 Author #91 Share Posted November 25, 2019 (edited) The creature reared again and stuck Lonzo in the face. However this time Lonzo grabbed it's vine aggressively, his eyes still staring at the monster without blinking. He threw the vine down hard against the forest floor, he ran up the vine and as the variant tried to swing them Lonzo leaped towards it's mouth and wedging his axe into it's lips. He swung himself down and looked up at it watching a spew of blue light fly from it's lips. Lonzo just placed his axe on his shoulder. He'd wait for it to die at this point. He wouldn't even bother attacking it again if he didn't have to. That's when he remembered. The case of the liar. A woman who had her child aborted and blamed her husband for a multitude of things. In truth the media was on her side. Everyone was. Yet Lonzo refused to take her case. She had told him things in confidence about how after this she'd be with her boyfriend and other things that made the man question his own sanity. He had thrown people under the bus in his life but to the ends this woman was going to go to erase someone else in her own delusional drama was beyond his comprehension. Calmly he denied his aid in the case claiming he was going to visit someone else out of country that day and let someone else handle it. To this day he regrets it. That man was suffering in a prison. That's what this glutton reminded him of. That woman. 130387 9 6 11 9 Nepent deals 1 Lonzo deals 1 dmg + bleed HP 96/100 Energy 0/10 DMG 4 Mit 18 Acc 0 Eva 0 Luck 0 Nepent Variant HP: 14/15 (12dmg on it's next 2 turns) Mitigation: 5 Damage: 10 Nepent Variant ignores armor mitigation on a natural roll of 10 Edited November 26, 2019 by Lonzo

The defense trying to use previous traumas to push for a mental illness that he had to blow out of the water in order to keep a murderer in jail. Which was positive in his eyes as now no one had to worry about that type of person walking around. Much again like this field boss. Lonzo 0 Posted November 26, 2019 Author #93 Share Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) Lonzo felt whips strike him again as it cried out in pain and burst into several shards again. "Lucky you...I was about to eviscerate you where you stood." He sighed thinking about his life back home. Condemning bad people and sometimes good people. Sometimes avoiding taking easy cases because he knew they were wrong and couldn't morally deal with it in some cases. Lonzo was use to running. When he got beat up he'd run. When he didn't want to take a case he'd go do a different one. If something was too difficult he'd turn around, walk away and deal with it. So far he believed his decisions didn't get anyone killed. Ruin their lives was another story. As he stood staring where the monster had died he was proving to himself he wouldn't just back away. He'd be louder if he had to be. "You know. I have to get stronger. I can't run. Ever. So they can all depend on me. So they never have to feel the pain I feel when I have to run. There are just times we can not run, and when that happens, no one will have to. There will be no regrets." Lonzo felt he'd have to do something he didn't want to do. Lonzo 0 Posted November 26, 2019 Author #94 Share Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) He looked around for the drop he needed and saw there wasn't anything. He rolled his eyes with a sigh. He was too much in his own head fighting these things. Why would it matter at this point? He stood there with the blue shards flying around him. He went on his knees and closed his eyes. He was thinking of people who were innocent that he put away for his own gain. The lawyers on the defense should have stopped him right? Yet they couldn't. Was it because of the media or the woman? Everyone always could out pay what was deemed normal. True he didn't send the man away but wasn't it his fault for not presenting the truth? It was easy to say it wasn't his job to bring it to light. So why did it eat at his soul? He tried to think of the killers and arsonists that he put away to protect society. Could one of them been in that same boat. Where they were actually innocent? Some seemed to really believe they were but the evidence was something Lonzo had to trust. He had to trust his team to get him the information. Trust the cops and their teams did their jobs. It's how how different this was. He couldn't depend on anyone. Could he? What a lonely existence. 130403 2 2 6 5 Edited November 26, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 26, 2019 Author #95 Share Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) It started to hurt to even breath as he thought about his life. What would happen when he woke up? Would he go back to his job? Would he try to help free that man in prison? What if he died? What would happen to that man? What was he becoming that he was starting to care about his actions like this. He was so use to trying to stay above the curve. To survive. To be happy. He was use to other people taking things from him. Making it difficult on him. He had to use 'faults' to his advantage. Accepting that he was the token foreign card that a company would need to work as a bar tender. That he was considered exotic and pleasant to look at thanks to something he had zero control over for the companies gain. He used that and felt it was negative to think of himself that way. His own race like that. Using it to gain something in life. To gain an education that he used as a minority. There was no equality it was impossible in the real world. It was a pipe dream that seemed so happy go lucky. He placed his forehead to the grassy ground as he thought of this. His body feeling chilled to the bone. Why was he feeling so sorry for himself today? How pathetic. Was this place better? He could be anything if he could just play good right? That's all that was needed in this world. He hated how easy that was, and yet you'd have to want to beat this hell to go to an even worse hell. Was there a point? He thought of the man again and got up to look for materials to get his mind off it it. For his past failures he'd have to survive and he understood that. As he walked along the path feeling sorry for himself he did come across some herbs he could use. He knelt by it and put them into his inventory. 130405 1 8 17 5 +1 material Edited November 26, 2019 by Lonzo
Lonzo 0 Posted November 26, 2019 Author #96 Share Posted November 26, 2019 (edited) He couldn't allow himself to run to make sure everyone pushed to win. If he could be a wall for the others he was sure he was sure they could win any sort of fight they were in. It'd be a long and dangerous journey but it was something he had to work on. Something felt off to him. Was it getting easier to win though? He opened up his menu to look at what was happening. He saw a lock on his experience and then another bar under it calculating his experience. There was a lock on it. He'd have to complete this quest in order to reap the benefits of this type of ordeal. He couldn't just leave in the middle. He was locked into this quest at the moment. He sighed and kept going after making sure the path he was taking was clear. No one wants to die too fast but he felt there was little he could do at the rate he was going. He'd burn out and collapse from all the excursions. He stretched and went to look for more materials. He need them to get better, or for someone else to get better. It didn't matter. In the end they all had to get out eventually right? He wondered what the front liners thought or felt. What drove them after all these years? He was curious. 130408 8 11 3 6 Edited November 26, 2019 by Lonzo
