Profile Spoiler Username: Randal the Unsuspecting Real name: Randal Simmons Age: 25 years old Gender: Male Height: 1.72cm About: History/personality Spoiler From a young age, Randal was thought the benefits of having a quick tongue on even quicker feet thanks to brutal verbal lashing and “impeccable” logic of his mother. His father through his actions, gave Randal the impression that a cool, nonchalant stoic man who just followed the flow of life was the kind of man Randal wanted to be. However, throughout his life, he could do nothing more than watch as his family was burdened by the weight of financial responsibilities, convinced that he had contributed to that weight he vowed to never be placed in such a situation when he grew up. The dwindling finances cause Randal to experience the loss of many privileges that his family once had like a car and a nice home only to be constantly downgraded. And so he carried on treasuring the experiences that were more immaterial to him. He did well in public speaking and went on to won several awards for his abilities. But none of them actually helped his situation and only served as validation. One day while he was down on his luck and trying to figure how to support his family and himself through University, he met his girlfriend, who would go on to support him, encourage him and teach him to save money and to hustle. Randal was lucky enough to find stability in his long term girlfriend, and went on to become a decently successful albeit new food nutritionist who sometimes gave talks to kids on how to speak well. These kids would go on to be very attached to Randal, and one day, one of them actually gifted him the Nervegear along with one of the 10,000 copies of Sword Art Online. Cheered on by his unsuspecting girlfriend, he entered the console and found he couldn’t return... Virtues: Spoiler Virtue 1: Trustworthy, from a young age, Randal was brutally chewed out and lashed on when caught lying by his mother who strove to teach her son the value of integrity. Randal would experience this pain several times over the course of many occasions until he learned that to be truthful was a benefit to himself. He realised this when he would say something and people would automatically believe him, not needing to ever check the authenticity of the truth he felt that his integrity was something to be proud of and since then his word was his bond and his bond unbreakable. Virtue 2: Wise, Randal was never intelligent by nature, but he definitely had ample amounts of wisdom, always with the habit of deep introspection, his experience in life has never gone without a lesson. Having needed to find meaning in difficult times...even in times where he himself admits there was no real meaning to grasp, Randal’s need to justify the situations in his life allowed him to look to others for inspiration as well. All in order to better reflect on the kind of man he was and the kind of situation he was on, this allows him to make his perceived best decisions based on the circumstances. Virtue 3: Charming, Randal was however, born with the gift of gab, his abilities with English were honed through books, tv shows and co-curricula activities giving him the knowledge and talent for persuasion and entertainment. With a beautiful voice, Randal found it was easy to sway a target audience to his side through logic and emotion. This ability was crucial in Randal’s decisions for his future. His charm quickly allowing him to make friends and get close to his customers. Flaws: Spoiler Flaw 1: Cunning, Randal found that with honesty came betrayal, his experiences in the past showed that people will take the truth you spoke and twist and turn it into lies when repeated. Leaving you no way out except to be a scapegoat. This cause Randal to develop a code of his own to live by, inspired by the tongue of Elves in a books called “Eragon”. These elves who would speak completely in truths would speak in riddles to mask and deceive when needed, although not capable enough to do the same, Randal believes omissions of truth are not lies and definitely is more than capable enough to omit the truth. Flaw 2: Nonchalant, Randal has never allowed himself to show vulnerable in front of general social situations. He has never been comfortable enough to let it happen. Hence he views himself as someone cynical, stoic and nonchalant because he is emotionally unaffected when betrayal happens because he always considers the possibility that it might happen. Although if it happens, it won’t just be let go, he doesn’t really get upset unless it invokes some other key emotional factor with him. Flaw 3: Money, due to his background, Randal knows the importance of having enough money for a variety of situations at minimum. Experiences like not having enough money to afford university, or to bring his family to eat or to enjoy the things in life meant to be enjoyed, he understands the importance of cash and the importance of using it when he can. Randal therefore places money on a higher plane as compared to other things as he believes that money is the source of strength for people in life.
