She knelt down and looked at the chest for a moment. She was wanting to more make sure that it wasn't booby trapped or anything, because honestly, that would be her luck. But at the same time, how in the hell would she even be able to tell if something. It was really just a dumb thing she did to try and make herself feel better about it. So, gingerly, she started to open the lid of the chest. What she got next made her smile a little. Some more col, some materials, and a couple of consumables appeared in a loot window. Wasn't that an awesome thing. Now if only the chest would have have a clue on how to get out of this forest. That would have been better. In fact, that was far from her luck, because as she stood back up to look around, she couldn't tell what direction she had come from, the mist was just as heavy as it had been mere moments before. Freaking figures. Edited December 1, 2019 by Noctua

This was no fun at all really. She sighed, just mere moments before something rushed her and hit her square in the chest. She flew backwards and was stopped by a tree. You know, these trees seemed to be on the side of the creatures and not herself. The wind had been knocked from her lungs though and Athena was hooting up a worried storm above her head. "Don't... Save your heal..." The owl reluctantly listened which made Noctua happy. If this creature was going to hit this hard right away, she was going to need the owl's heals later on. After a few minutes, Noctua finally was able to catch her breath and rose to her feet. Looking at the thing that bum rushed her, she sighed. Of course. It went from spiders to bears. Hey look, her back into another tree. What was with these things and throwing her into trees now? She was going to have splinters and all of that fun stuff in her hair and clothing when she got back to the shop wasn't she. She removed herself from the tree and grabbed her rapier's hilt, unsheathing it quickly as she dashed to the bear. Her blade started to turn purple just before she hit the bear in each of it's legs. She watched as it's health went down, and burn and blight were applied to it. This made her grin as she quickly took a few steps back to try and give herself some distance to be able to dodge. Good, that was going to make things much easier on her. But what she didn't expect, though she really should have, was for the bear to get really, really mad at her about that. It charged her, closing the distance faster than she could even more and backwards she went again. Hey look, another tree broke her fall, ouch. She was going to be bruised and sore tomorrow, she knew that much now. But, she rose back to her feet and stared at the bear for a moment. Moving forward, she started to channel Quadruple Pain once more, and stabbed the bear in each of it's legs again. She was starting to wonder if the bear liked the pain? Either way, she noticed that burn and blight had been refreshed and she refrained from laughing at the bear. At this point, it was going to die by her damage over time instead of her stabbing it. She closed the loot window, not caring at this point as to what she got from it. She just wanted to be done and over with all of this. The drama, the confusion, the suspense. But that wasn't going to work was it, not as long as Tala had something against her. She slowly put her rapier in it's sheath as she looked at the owl that flew by her head. "Let's find our way out." She started to walk then, she didn't care the direction, she just walked. She knew that she was going to have to run into the road at some time, and hopefully no more monsters. Noctua 0 Posted December 2, 2019 Author #40 Share Posted December 2, 2019 (edited) The mindless walking was good. She wasn't really thinking on anything while she walked. This helped keep her head clear of the drama that had been threatening to bring tears to her eyes. Of course, she still wanted to know what she did to Tala. Hell, she had never met the child before and apparently Noctua had done something to her. Just this tiny thought made the woman sigh. But that was soon gone when she saw the familiar road that she had lost oh so long ago. "Thank goodness." She started to walk the path headed in the direction of Delilah. She was just one step closer to being out of this forest. In fact, that forest was soon waning and disappearing behind her, and she let out a deep breath of relief. No more forest, and she was going to stay away from that forest for a while too. Edited December 2, 2019 by Noctua
