But still, she was determined and that was something that someone wouldn't be able to take from her. Even if she is stuck in this death game. Neph sighed as she walked, wondering what all she was going to have to sacrifice to be able to finally finish this quest? That was when her questions were answered, or so she hoped. In front of her was a pair of wolves, and neither of them seemed to notice her. So, the first thing that she did was charge forward with the full intent of using Heft on the first one, only for the wolf to notice her and easily move. Well, that figures. She watched the two wolves as they turned their attention on her. But what she didn't expect to happen was for them both to try and pounce on her at the same time. This resulted in them instead pouncing on each other and getting even more mad, but hopefully at themselves. Edited December 13, 2019 by Nephthys

You have a couple of wolves to take care of, which you can't do if you're wondering if they are mad at each other. Obviously, they aren't since both of the wolves were soon refocused back on Neph, staring daggers and glaring death. If looks could kill, these two wolves would have murdered Neph just now. So, here she was, being glared at my two wolves, and she wasn't even sweating. Just a normal day for the calm woman wasn't it. She took her time to think, and the moment that she had her attacked planned, she launched forward, her spear immediately stabbing right into the wolf's rib cage. It yelped in a panic and in pain before it tried to leap at her, only to fall from the failed leap. The second wolf though, seemed to just be staring in shock at what had just happened. It was shaking and in fear, was this just a young wolf? If that is the case, the poor thing chose the wrong day to be out learning to prowl. Yeah, this was already an interesting fight on it's own. Not only did she not exactly have the energy to be fighting like this (thank you writer), she was just tired of not finding anything but angry animals. Those obviously weren't the animal that she was supposed to tame. Now, what she didn't expect to happen right as she went to attack the wolf, was for a bear to go running through the area. It ran right past her, but she noticed that someone else was chasing after it. Well, that didn't help her own fight now did it? Actually, it did. Not only did she miss because of a miss step from the sudden intruders, but the wolves froze up for a moment. It was almost as if they were wondering if they were about to be attacked by more than just this lone woman. Wouldn't that have been helpful? Once all three of them were certain that the bear and it's 'friend' weren't coming back, the battle was back into full focus. That was an odd little distraction don't you think? Nephthys focused her sights on the wolf that she had been previously hitting, it was time for this fight to come to a closing end, of two dead wolves and a surviving Nephthys. But to do that, she needed to land a hit first. Either way, she quickly moved forward and thrusted the spear tip into the wolf's chest and she watched as a chunk of health left the wolf. The wolf was so startled that it stumbled back a few steps instead of coming at her to attack. But it was the second wolf who thought that it was going to hit her, at least, until Nephthys pushed it back with the butt of her spear's pole. Obviously, it was thinking of revenge, but there was no true way for her to be able to deal with that at the moment. Mainly because she was quickly stabbing the tip of her spear into the wolf's flank as it moved. The moment her spear touched the wolf's flank, the wolf lunged at her, tackling her to the ground and biting her arm while clawing at her stomach. Ow. She quickly pushed the wolf off as she rolled back to her feet. Okay, this wolf was going to die now. Well, that was guaranteed, but now it was going to happen sooner than Nephthys was thinking because the woman was getting mad, and mad was not pretty with a large spear. For keeping herself alive, she can rely on her gear for that, and maybe gets some trinkets to help her with her accuracy. She sat on this log, just thinking over how she could go about building things for herself to make staying alive in here just that much easier. She walked and walked though, walking in a straight line, or at least, so she thought. Did this forested area of her's have some kind of enchantment on it to make her get lost? This was mainly because she was certain that she had been in this exact spot, just mere minutes before. But those thoughts were soon stopped no matter what, because she heard a roar. Not a roar, roars are bad. Roars mean bears. Bear mean that people are going to be thrown into a tree. She spun around, only to see not just one bear, but two. Great, two bears found her while she was lost in this forested area. This wasn't going to be fun was it? She sighed as she started to channel Heft, knowing that she was going to need to get a leg up on these two bears. As she charged the first bear, she made a diagonal slash through the bear. Health left the bear's bar, sweet, and the surprise attack even seemed to startle the bear into not being able to attack. The second bear though, it took this as it's moment to hit Nephthys. The hit? A claw to the middle of her back, pushing her to the right as well as forward a few steps. Edited December 14, 2019 by Nephthys

Only that failed when the bear managed to still clip her with his swiping claw, smacking her right in the gut. That didn't feel good, and it made her stumble backwards a few steps to try and get away from it once more. What was with things and hitting her when they were mad? This didn't seem entirely fair really. But while she was moving backwards from the first bear, it made it so she actually managed to dodge the second bear's attack. This was the moment that she wondered if she just watched her life flash before her eyes. She couldn't tell really, maybe because she didn't have much of a life to really pass before her eyes. Oh well. She slowly sank to the ground, using the tree still to keep her back straight. She didn't feel like moving right now, mainly because sitting and leaning against this tree was just too comfortable. Perhaps that was a bad thing to think, being in a forested spot on the floor that she couldn't seem to find her way out of. But it also didn't help that she didn't want to leave without that familiar either. Or at least, she didn't want to go back to town without it. Granted, none of this was happening right now anyways, so it wasn't like it really mattered to her. She, at this point, was starting to wonder if there was something that she could buy that would end up helping her, instead of making this take longer than it probably should. But that would involve her going back to town, and right now, she wasn't too sure on if she wanted to go back to town. She more just wanted to keep exploring. She was actually kind of sick and tired of the dark, can you imagine her actually saying that? She never thought that she would ever really think it either. She's too used to being in the dark, that it was an odd thought to have been thought. But what was a lone wolf to do eh? She righted herself onto her feet and she grabbed her spear from the ground once more. There was no sight of any monsters, so that was a nice little thing again.
