Following his latest endeavours, Randal one again Found that his supplies of materials were way to quickly running Low and hoped to rank up soon as a Chef to minimise wastage and reduce the need to go out and find for materials over and over again...

However that didn’t really bring Randal down. This was because he always looked forward to the cabin as though he would be traveling to his summer vacation house. He reminisced about the two times prior that he had been, the first time he brought a major haul back home and the second he introduced Skeleton to the place, even though the second time he didn’t managed to bring home as many materials, it was still a leisurely trip with little mishaps or fear of anything happening.

Before he knew it, Randal Found himself right outside the wooden gates as always and pushed his way in before closing the gate behind him.

Entering back into the sanctuary was great because regal sort of already knew where to look to find materials Agd this time he came with some light armour that provided him with increased chances to find loot, additionally with his increased proficiency in Searching, he was fully capable of looking extra hard and maybe something would appear in front of him, with that he set about his daily taskings.

According to the last time he was here, he could check the garden, orchard, forestry area and the pond/lake for materials. With the planning out of the way Randal decided to hit the pond first, he had just finished the last part of the chain quest which led him to old Pete, who was a retired fisherman with a Long and complicated history. He only had to help him catch and tame and fish to become his pet but the process and time spent with old Pete helped Randal learn more about fishing and he hoped to put what he learned to use.

With that Randal approached the water as he always did but instead of reaching for the fishing spear that was located in the rack next to the lake, he instead took up one of the many fishing rods that have now appeared next to them.

In accordance to what old Pete taught him shout fishing, he chose one of the fishing rods that did kit seem like it would too badly harm the fish in the event that Randal was unsatisfied with the result and instead went for a milder hook that would not be so legal to the fish. 

Then he began looking for some bait in the ground around him, normally people would use works as bait so Randal decided that his best bet would be to look for some since he didn’t prepared any beforehand.

While searching in the ground, he found some words and began to tie them to the end of the line.

While searching for bait he managed find some stone roots in the ground and presumed that they were a type of ginseng but could be too sure so he just pocketed them along with the worm bait.

After digging around in the dirt for a bit, Randal with the bait now hooked on the end of his line, pulled both his arms back and lobbed the bait into the water and watched as the float bobbed around for a bit before being dragged underwater, feeling the pull of the fish as it realises that it had just made a huge mistake, Randal leaned back and used all his strength to pull back, as his muscles bulged he knew that he must have caught a big one. With a few more tugs and using the relief he eventually managed to fish up a beautiful fish that he could readily deprive the species of but based on the hue of the scales and the very generous sizing of the fish, Randal knew it was a good find and promptly pocketed the fish.

Seeing as how perhaps fishing would go well for him today, Randal quickly tied another piece of bait to the fishing rods and decided that since he was currently alone in the fishing grounds, took up another roof and placed into the ground as a stand while holding the other one in his hands.

Not too Long after he set up the second fishing rod, he felt another tug on the one in his hands, telling up the bounty, he saw a medium sized fish that looked a lot like a salmon and promptly put it into his backpack with the rest of his finds. 

Right after he had done so, the one in the ground collapsed and almost went into the lake if Randal hadn’t quickly reached out and grabbed it. Feeling the pull of the rod, Randal reeled in the catch and saw that it was something like little dory but even though it was small, it was a really good catch and so against his ideals, he quietly kept the fish.

After his lucky streak continued Randal continued to repeat his previous experience. 

A few minutes passed... then half an hour... then Randal’s mind continued to wander away from fishing and instead was thinking about the different methods of cooking that he learned from old Pete, maybe he should also try the method of cooking while waiting for his rods to catch something. He thought about the savoury forgot if the chilli fish that old Pete has cooked for him and was contemplating making the food again when one of the two rods started to sway. Picking it up and feeling the tug, Randal started to reel in his catch but unfortunately fire almost like out of a cartoon, he fished up as randomly as possible...a boot...a freaking boot. 

Seeing as how his luck with the pond was over for now Randal decided to go off and do something else first. Maybe go to the garden?

Randal decided against going to the garden at this time, he didn’t feel like it would yield very spectacular results so instead he turned heel and walked into the forested area instead to find any kind of wild sort of vegetables or perhaps some form of mushrooms and to his amusement the moment he walked in, he did finds Petir if wild mushrooms just chilling at the base of a tree stump. However they obnoxious bright and spotted caps turned Randal away from them but not due Long because unlike the real world where food poisoning can kill someone, in this world that didn’t even seem like it had occurred to the developers to implement such a feature. 

Instead Randal quickly put the mushrooms into his pocket with a mental note telling himself to eat the mushrooms in small portions in order to determine whether they are while in the first place.

However following the discovery of the two convenient mushrooms right by the entrance, it was almost as if a condolence from the forest after Randal entered, no matter where he looked he was unable to find a single other material in the forest, unfortunately this would mean having wasted a good half an hour to an entire hour of just looking in the grass and around the base of trees for mushrooms as well as trying to find if there were any other interesting find that Randal could end up using even though it might not be conventional.

This was in memory of the time that Randal picked a spiderweb and decided to use it for an elaborate dish which turned out pretty good for all accounts... this was in consideration of the fact that Randal didn’t let any body else try the fish and was also affected by his own bias.

Randal decided that after some time had passed looking inside the forested area, it was time to move on, being away for the afternoon sun would have been a consideration when it was out, now that regal has Sight the morning within the forested area he weighs have to come out from the shade and step back out into the streets/rest of the sanctuary. If he has gone somewhere else to watch for materials in the morning he could have enjoy the afternoon’s sun while still under shelter from the canopy. 

Though Randal had to admit that the heat from the sun was cause the water on the ground or rather the dew drops from the morning humidity was cause the surrounding air to become very humid and uncomfortable. Even though there was no actual sweat dripping down his body, it was still very realistic due to the way that the headgear is built.

While Randal was thinking about how hot the weather was getting and contemplating whether the weather system in Aincrad had things like heat waves or global warming.

Nonetheless, while he was doing that, he found that coupled by where he found the mushrooms was an egg laying down nestled between some grass and the tree root.

Looking up, he noticed a little birds nest up in one of the branches and Randal quickly climbed up to take a look. He noticed 3 more eggs in the heat and decided not to disturb it any more and just take the one egg that had fallen out.

Picking the egg up, Randal left the forested area and started wondering where he should go next. He eventually decided on the training room, not to train but because it wasn’t considered outside in the heat. Perhaps he would just enjoy the shade for the afternoon and enjoy his lunch.

Making his way to the training house, Randal passed by a few players who had just entered into the sanctuary and they seemed to be new faces, his intuition told him it was so based on the fact that they had astonished looks on their faces and that regal has never seen them before today.

Regardless, as he passed by then and exchanged some greetings they asked him what there was to do here and that all they knew was from this piece of paper that some NPCS were giving out back at the town of beginnings. So Randal did them a favour and explained all the various locations and things that they could do. 

He told them to follow him into the training house to see what was inside honestly exclaiming that he himself has never been there before and had only seen the inside through the window located at the garden beside the house.

After the group of them now entered the training house, they first noticed that it smelled very fresh, at one corner was an NPC who was preparing some ingredients and drinks for any player who stumbles onto this quaint little hideaway away from the rest of the world and death match. He was busily chipping away and gestured with his chin towards a board that explicitlyexplained what this location was here for. 

Truthfully according to the board, Randal was already unable to participate because he was to high a level. However there rest of the players excitedly wanted to test out new features and quickly started to prepare themselves.

Randal didn’t have much to do other than watch the players and get some food from the vendor which have to him for free. He started to watch the players closely to examine them. They seemed adept enough to fight in their own.

There were two players, who had just entered the sanctuary, the first was a young blond male who worried a sword in one hand and a shield in another, the sword was a very basic looking weapon with a clean glimmer while the shield was engraved with what looked like a family crest. He was currently on his news polishing his shield with an oiled cloth.

The other was a dark haired girl who seemed slightly above the teen age years, she had freckles on her face and wielded a spear which was about fifty percent longer than she was tall just for a quick estimation. The handle was beautifully engraved with some design of dragons and she worked the spear with decent level of mastery.

The sword and shield guy in an attempt to show off to her decided to go first and just went for the first loot capable that he could spawn. Randal decided to leave them to it and visit the garden.

In the garden he noticed a few new pots located by the interior of the garden with a brand new miniature greenhouse that stood erect in the centre of the garden, curious as to the vegetation that might be located inside he marveled at the scientific ingenuity of the green house prior to actually looking at the produce that was made from it.

Stepping back down to think about the physics of how the green house kept the eco system of the green house in check by the circulation of the interior consistency was beyond Randal’s ability to comprehend this aspect of science.

Instead he checked out the flowers and found that all of the food found inside the green house was not edible it fit for human consumption based on either the fact that they were placed for decorative purposes with no value in the consumption while the rest were poisonous.

Randal started to think about whether there were any plant based monsters that existed in Aincrad, he had heard of some creatures from some friends when the plants would emerge and they would appear to have the faces of humans etched into the bark of their trunks and instead of limbs they would use their branches to hold things and use their roots as feet. They would be able to mimic human speech but not understand it. This would create the illusion that there were people in the forest and trick others into entering the forest too. Randal has also heard that they do This in an attempt to lie humans over which they can use their roots to get nutrition from.

To Randal the whole thing sounded way to horror like for his liking and was very appreciative of the fact that he was still on the first floor and although he had explored some of the other floors in the tower to have never met anything quite like that.

back to the topic at hand, Randal left the green house and noticed that none of the plants or vegetables currently in the garden were yet ripe or ready to be taken out and kept and this left Randal fairly disheartened due to the fact that he would not be able to make any healthy vegetable dishes for the meantime between now and until his current batch of materials run out and he would have to make another trip to this location for materials.

Speaking of which he had also heard from the NPCs that there lies locations like this at the tenth floor and this got Randal‘a heart excited to be thinking about all the potential items that he would he able to get if he were only high enough level to take on the monsters there. So he continue to vow to himself that he would get there as soon as possible.

Randal continued to think about the other sanctuaries that probably exist in the other floors while he approached the orchard to collect some fruits. As he was walking he noticed that a fruit had fallen to the ground and decided to pick it up, and upon which he saw that crawling in the Apple was a cute little worm, Randal considered putting the worm back on the ground but he decided to watch a bit longer as the worm savoured the Apple it was crawling on and stoned out while contemplating the meaning of lifeand while he didn’t share his thoughts with the work he did leave it in the spoke to go pick something else.

Instead he walked back up to the Apple tree and decided to climb the tree to collect the reddest Apple there was. As he climbed up he spotted one on one of the higher branches in the tree and with a quick nudge of his feet the Apple dropped and he was one Apple richer.

Instead of carrying on with his shenanigans with the Apple tree Randal proceeded to look through the rest of the orchard, he spotted lots of interesting fruits that he himself wasn’t aware of as they were less noticeable that the other where looked back to where the orchard ended and saw vines crawling up along the side the fencing, excited to see if that fruit was the fruit that he had been craving for, he reached out and saw it. A small Pokemon purple fruit that was round in shape and smoother in texture. In the whole boring until it would raise delicious sweet juices until your mouth. After spitting up the grapes seeds, Randal continued to pocket the rest of the grapes into his back pack and ensured that none of them would be broken by the back pack due to the cuTe food packet with that Randal believed he was done with the orchard and got ready to move on.

After his foray into the orchard as the picker is fruits and the eater of grapes, Randal decided to mature his way out and asking the way he could maybe take one or two unripe fruits. One might query him on why he took the unripe ones over all the other ones that Randal could have taken that might have already be ripe, the logic was that taking the already ripe ones would only be a good idea if Randal was intent on eating the fruits now but if he were to save them for a later date maybe to use in his shop, he would have to consider the timeframe and the unripe fruits that he had picked would be ripe and ready when he needed to use them.

This was something Randal learned in the real world and would have to experiment to find out if applied to in game logic too.

With that Randal decided that his day of harvesting would be over and began to pack up to leave, he made sure that he didn’t leave anything behind before proceeding into the training house to check up on the two youngsters who had cane in just a bit earlier and was glad to see that they were still energetically fighting monsters with healthy amount of vigour. Their pace wasn’t particularly face in rascal’s opinion because they took a cautious approach and was fighting the monsters one on one with the other players waiting in standby should the other be in need of assistance. 

This was a sure method of ensuring that no mishap would befall them by accident or overconfidence.

With that Randal packed up and left the sanctuary, he didn’t forget to look for any treasure chests in his way back but unfortunately luck was not on his side today.
