Summary:

Marking the beginning of each tier (Floors 1, 11, 21, etc.), these levels of Aincrad in particular each seem to have various locations among the floors that are bursting at the seams with crafting materials. They are easier to find than other hunting grounds on comparable floors, with short respawn rates to make them the best locations to hunt for materials.

If the floor is vegetated, players can find a <<Garden>>. If there are a lot of buildings on the floor, players can find a <<Courtyard>>. If the floor is underground, players can find a <<Cavern>>. Many NPCs give away these farming locations, telling players about this amazing opportunity of extra materials, whether it be from plentiful monster drops or from the safer areas outside of town that make for easy, peaceful fishing and gathering.

Searching:  LD rolls of 11-14 give 1 material.  LD rolls of 15+ give 2 materials.  Gatherer skill is added to this roll as well.

Fishing:  Monsters and bosses never spawn.  Fishing receives no bonus materials.  CD 12s require a LD of 15+ (modifiers allowed) to fish up a treasure chest.  If 1-14, players receive 4 materials.

Treasure Chests:  LD of 1-3 does not result in a mimic, but drops (Floor * 25) col and one material.

Looting Mobs:  Loot required mobs always drop (HP * 4) col and 1 material as default drops.

For the fourth time now , Randal finds himself at the cabin where Materials are abundant and the monsters excited.

As usual he walked through the very well place wooden poles cum fence that separated the inside of paradise from the outsider monsters.

When Randal walked in, he decided to take out a snack that would improve his chances of finding materials. The Snack was one that would fill you with prosperity just by looking at it. Randal had made it himself and thoroughly enjoyed consuming it and watch his luck improve by a tremendous amount. He already knew that today would be a good day for his material gathering. Maybe he would stay longer to fully maximise the use of the product.

Already the moment he walked into the garden, along the neatly arranged dirt path that crossroads that various points of interest within, he pick up some materials that he found he could use.

Randal uses 1 T1E3 Snack and gets +3 LD.

Unlike the previous few times that Randal has come to the paradise in the middle of nowhere, maybe because people were not in the mood to do dangerous things outside, the area was filled with lots of people doing many various things, the areas were so packed that there were lines for some of the things like fishing where only some people had poles and the others were gonna morrow from the facilities.

There were administrators of the area that Randal had never seen here before in all of the three times that he had come prior.

Apparently when Randal went up to speak to them, they let Randal know that they were actually people hired by the chef inside the training house to help facilitate the area so that players would not ruin the place with their toxicity as well as to generally keep the peace.

Randal wondered how they would enforce the peace but no one made a ruckus to show him.

Randal weird his turn patiently to enter the orchard so that there was not a case of overcrowding within. This would very simple reduce the risk of players getting on each other’s nerves as well as aid the fact that players may use force to exert their will onto others.

For examples that Randal could think of, what if one players accused another player of stealing a material that was rightfully theirs. Who would be able to judge who was telling the truth and who would be so omniscient to be able to predict whether or not the conflict will even happen or who would the conflict occur between.

At the end of the day, the system was there to protect the experience of the players so that they can have a fruitful and memorable experience.

Eventually Randal ended up inside the orchard and was able to collect some fruits to add to his backpack as Materials.

Inside the orchard some players wearing vibrant colours was showing of some papers that they had gotten from the administrators around the area, the permits detailed certain trading that those players were allowed to do and for how long they would be allowed to stay in the orchard.

Randal saw that this might be another thing that he could do but he wanted to explore the many options in paradise first so he went up to one of the them and started talking to them. They were just slightly lower level than them and could easily convince them to pet with some materials if Randal gave them some tips when fishing.

His previous quest with old Pete was useful in sharing those little snippets of information which while may not be as applicable to the game works would still help people in their real life. The player was appreciative of being reminded about the outside world things as a result of nostalgia and gave Randal some materials.

Randal started talking to other bandits located inside the beautiful orchard. Randal wasn’t sure what season it was in Aincrad but the flowers and fruits drew a colourful contrast against the deep green hues of the vegetation.

This paradise was also so peaceful and have players a sense of home when they entered. This our a lot of players at ease and they were always friendlier when they came in.

Randal started chatting up some players who looked like chefs and got into a casual discussion about what kind of of dish theyLiked to make and what was their favourite cooking and not to mention the most heated point of discussion was what was the favourite seasoning that they like to put in their dishes.

Randal put in some thought and with one of the players with whom Randal shared similarities with, he gave them some tips abs tricks to help them with their craft and they gave him some materials as thanks.

Randal also decided to sit down outside the orchard once he was done appreciating the beauty within the cute little location. Outside the orchard there were a few parties of players who they were dating all in position to celebrate a bit of the New Years and Christmas at the same time.

Randal was never one of those people who would be disgusted or taken aback at looking at other people being intimate in public. Just as was their right to do so, it was also his right to watch as a point of principle. Yea he was a little bit of a voyeur but that’s okay.

As he sat and enjoyed the cool breeze and watched as the clouds over head gathered and became a quaint little shelter from the sun. The mood to fall asleep overcame Randal but not before he picked up another material that someone left behind.

Randal was unsure exactly hour much time had passed since he fell asleep but when he woke up the sun had crossed the peak and was about to set soon.

Getting up he looked around the plaza at the centre of paradise and noted that the crowd had significantly dwindled. Normally falling asleep in public was dangerous due to the rumours above sleep player killers but here. This was practically a safe place and would restrict players from attacking other players, not even fields were allowed so all was good.

Randal Used his hands to push himself up and almost felt a little shoulder ache which was probably imaginary considering that you couldn’t really feel bodily pains in the game if you weren’t being attacked. As he got up and did a few stretches, he was ready to go and get to work now that the crowd has died down.

Even though the crowd had died down there were still many players who seemed to have set up shop inside the training house and fewer outside due to the difficulty of picking up materials in the middle of the night thanks to the reduced visibility.

Randal wondered over to the training house to look at the ongoing if the inside and spotted a team of players practicing the switching mechanic against some monsters.

[Switch] was a fairly useful mechanic to have against monsters as when playing in a party the AI controls the monsters in such a way that they would either attack the last player who hit them or who ever had the greatest hate. The latter being prioritised. Switch allows players with hate to be replaced by another tankier member so add to ensure that each player fulfilled their role perfectly.

The team must have been at it for quite some time as they were getting really good at it.

Leaving the training house Randal quickly made his way down the wooden steps and turned right into the the cute little garden that the owner of Paradise has meticulously prepared for any player that might have stumbled into his area.

Walking into the place as it was lit with a few hosting along the sides that were put outside by someone to help illuminate and guide any aspiring gardeners in the dark.

Randal paused at each one of the stations that were present in the garden. The cute green leaves all apparently dancing along to the beat of the wind and the music of the breeze.

Randal started with the smell that was tantalising his nose the most and started to pick out some chillies as well as curry leaves to make something spicy and fiery to invoke some passion into his food. As he picked the vegetables he was very clear not to touch his eyes in case it works that way.

After collecting some vegetables from the garden, Randal picked himself off of his hands and knees before posting the dust and dirt off of himself and standing up to his full length.

He noted that quite some time had passed and was ready to do something else with his time.

When he reached the clear pristine lake, the water was already dark due to the reflection of the night sky up above.

At the lake an administrator that was alive to take her leave from the area due to the reduction player numbers within paradise gave Randal a helpful tip.

See at night, fishers fell asleep too, you may be lucky and catch some that were still awake but what are the chances you would be lucky. As she was speaking Randal readily nodded to everything she said before gazing with deep contemplation.

If anyone would be lucky today It would definitely be Randal.

Randal brought himself closer to the lake and retired to power really hard over to the other side but couldn’t. Around him there were lightning bugs still footing around flickering their lights as they flew around.

Randal peered over trying to look over at the other side if the lake to see if he could spot shouting moving in the water or if they were any other optimistic hopefuls like him trying their luck now that the crowd has gone away and stopped disturbing the waters.

Randal as quietly as he could manage picked up a wooden fishing pike before laughing the hook through the air and into the water with a plop. The hook bobbed... only for a moment before a fish tried to take the bait away and could only struggle against Randal as Randal slowly and steadily reeled the fish in. Lucky? Randal was very lucky today.

Randal decided to use his previous technique when it came to fishing and just put two rods out while he sat down and relaxed and enjoyed the very starry sky as he gazed up into the digital universe contemplating his digital existence.

He quickly got out another rod and placed it next to his first one, but this time was sure to throw the hook to another part of the lake. That way the fishes wouldn’t be startled by one another should Randal reel any of them in.

Randal didn’t have to wait very long to see joss effort bear fruit because while he was enjoying the cool night breeze and admiring the way the the leaves of the tree shook to the wind his rod started being pulled.

Soon Randal started pulling against the fish the force turned the other direction and tried to escape but couldn’t in the end. This happened due the other rod too.

Randal’s luck didn’t end there though, and so Randal decided to stay by the quiet lake but he fight feel like fishing anymore, it was too taxing to his relaxing state of mind to constantly be interrupted by the possible catching of fish. If that wasn’t a first world problem that Randal didn’t know what was, but no matter, he got up and placed the wooden rod back on the wooden rack that he collected it from and then proceeded to walk into the woods but didn’t stay too far from the water because no matter how safe the paradise was, walking around in the dark all alone was still a very frightful event and Randal never calmed to be very courageous.

Every step he took ran the rush of Randal scaring himself by stepping in a branch or twig and after a short while, Randal couldn’t take the suspense anymore and decided to step back out towards the lake.

The floor was dark in the forest but at the very least by the lakeside Randal could appreciate some of the most romantic lighting that he had ever had on his life... unfortunately he has to have it alone. Once in awhile Randal would selfishly wish that his girlfriend had been pulled into the game with him and on other occasions he would be Glad that she would never have to experience horrors that came with being trapped inside a game where a miscalculation could very well end your life both within and outside the game.

Randal would go on to muse about such a thing throughout his trek through night actually forgetting what was his purpose out here at night anymore and just contemplate life in general. This might have been perceived as sad but it was very important that Randal slows down and release his emotions when he felt them pent up because otherwise he worried that he would spiral into sadness again with no outlet to rely on.
