Well this was a little better, sorta. Not really good enough to sell, but it always paid to have a few extra items laying around that newbies who wanted to try out different weapons could use.

Craft Attempt 5/5

Craft die: 7 + 1

Castiel entered <>, gazing around at the interior. Zero had recommended this blacksmith to him, and so here he was looking to obtain a halberd more suitable for someone of his needs. The <> he currently had equipped was just a basic weapon with no benefits to using it. Approaching the counter, he waited in line behind a player named <> until it was his turn.

"H-Hello, my name's Castiel...I was told by my friend Zero to come here. He said you were one of the best blacksmiths around," Pausing briefly, his grip tightened on his halberd before he continued speaking, "I'm a relatively knew player, and I was hoping you could accompany me to go fetch some <> for a new halberd." He smiled nervously, rubbing the back of his neck. "I don't exactly have much COL, yet...only 400."

Bebe flapped her wings, perched on his shoulder as she eyed Vandal curiously before speaking to her master using his <> skill. "As long as it's not Feathery Dragon Bone, I'm fine with coming along, I guess."

"Oh hush, Bebe. It's not like you have much of a choice. Plus, you know I wouldn't hunt your species."

Vandal scratched his head as he watched the two new customers. "I tend to do comissions and don't have much armor laying around aside from a few basic pieces." He said to the first customer, before casting an inquisitive glance at the boy with the little dragon. "Sure kid, let me finish up work here and I don't mind escorting you after some Dragon Bone."

Well, that was hardly a good start to the day. From the looks of this thing this twisted piece of battered scrap couldn't even be salvaged...

Something just felt right about this craft, he could feel it in the hammer. Striking the metal a mighty 10th time, the item glowed before him, showing a completed craft. A moment later, the item appeared, gleaming in all it's perfect glory.

Hmmm, another crafting attempt and another basic quality item. He'd have to salvage it for materials later, or maybe find some newbie who needed a different weapon to try out a new skill.

Craft Attempt 3/5

Craft die: 5 +1 = 6

This was getting a little old. He had really done good work on that one craft, but so far a failure and 2 beginner quality items were not exactly the kind of stuff he could use to build a decent showpiece.

I walked into a shop named, The Iron Knight Forge. It was quite, ordinary. I stepped into the shop and walked over to the blacksmith. "Hello there. May you craft me a heavy straight sword?" I said. I scrolled down my menu and took out two iron ingots. I placed it down in front of the owner of the shop. "If you need other materials, I'd gladly go out and retrieve some missing materials for you." I said. I flashed a smile to the owner and took a seat by the door. I gazed upon his shop, it was quite interesting.

Examining the gear he had comissioned, Saix nodded enthusiastically. "Excellent work big man, as always." He said, lifting the large axe and gauntlets and placing them in his inventory, as he tallied up the agreed payment amount and sent the trade. "Until next time."

Vandal had been out of the shop for a while, but he had a few projects in mind that he wanted to get out of his system before the new Boss was found. So he went to work on a good rapier, something light and flexible, but strong enough to take a real beating. He was pleasantly surprised with how it turned out, a slightly wider blade but still narrow enough for piercing.

Craft Attempt 1/5

Craft die: 12 + 1 = 13

Perfect!

-1 mat

Item: Morning Glory

Quality: Perfect

Description: This beautiful Rapier is forged of light Atlantean Steel, and is a pale white/blue, with golden accents. It's place is slightly thicker than a normal dueling rapier, giving it a heartier blade suited for punishment.

Ability: +3 Damage

That turned out much better than he had expected. Putting another piece of steel into the fire, he began working on a light armor set, something light enough for maximum flexibility but still strong enough to take some punishment. The end result wasn't quite what he was hoping for, but he figured Saix would buy it for newbies like he did most of the other pieces.

Craft Attempt 2/5

Not quite what he had hoped for, but he'd deal with it at his own pace. Heating another block of steel, Vandal lifted his hammer and began beating out a curved sword, deciding on something a little different. He wanted a thin but strong blade, with a razor sharp blade.

Craft Attempt 3/5

Craft die: 8 + 1 = 9

Uncommon Item!

Lifting his hammer and setting hot steel on his anvil, Vandal began hammering out something to go along with the theme of his earlier armor attempt.
