In the calm of the forest, among a small circle of plants Raidou finds serenity in the patches of herbs littered about his feet. With deft hands Raidou works the patch underneath him with ease, grinding away one by one at what was contained inside. Removing a few herbs of blood red hue from the grass underfoot, smelling of sulfur and morning dew Raidou takes care to add them to his bag after a quick pat of a linen rag in his bag to remove the moisture and help dry them out. Upon the successful deposit of the aught of use Raidou's attentions softly shift back to the plants below him aiming to claim more and put focused eyes and experienced hands to better use.

Surveying varied shades of color with a soft brush of his palm as they pass over the tops of what lay under him, seeking out others.

Adeptly the red wanderer with a slight shuffle of the tapestry of crimson littering his shoulders shifts from point to point in sections removing four more pieces of vibrant red from the forest floor with ease. Skilled grip with the snapping of roots as they are removed with ease, Raidou's mind while focused to a fine point takes itself elsewhere interested in how things were going with the others. They were tasked with undertaking the beginner's quests he had finished long ago and Raidou couldn't help but wonder how things were coming along. Surely they would be fine without his direct input, Raidou's thoughts wandering outward as he clips roots with a pair of sheers and places detached pieces into a satchel gracing his thigh. Returning the metal cutting tools back into the bag and tapping the dirt from his hands, Raidou moves into the next cell of the grid he had painted in his mind's eye.

A small pace over, one step forward in the mental grid he had cast over the patch of herbs underneath him, Raidou moves to the next in tandem. This garden was a beautiful location but Raidou tended to neglect the scenery when present here, the flowers of an array of shades had gone unnoticed by the swordsman. His intentions were clear in this fact given he was aiming for the end goal and hastily passing the world by as fast as his hands could carry. A bright sun painted overhead in the limelight of the morning, the floor still devoid of players and in response spawns where few to reduce latency and buffer for the coming day.

Removing five more from underneath him with comfort, the expert appendages of his finding little resistance from the garden eagerly offering up its contents to the player who frequented its home day by day.

Raidou accepts the offering from the garden, with each easy removal of what it had grown. It was a silent kinship he shared with the plants, he tended them daily as to keep them maturing fluidly and respectively it offered that which he had lorded over when they reached fruition becoming of use to him. This made finding ones that were of age easier as he watched them become as such. A clipping of sheers and snapping of roots as more of the blood-red colored seedlings were plucked from the ground, Raidou kept working through in complete silence in a form of meditation and connection with nature.

Having been pulled clean Raidou removed himself from his kneel and headed toward another pack of vibrant color, taking to a patch of pure lime green reminiscent of the failed potion he had passed to a girl with tanned blonde hair and brown eyes.

A few more moments of reflection pour into his head, the tools of the task he undertook helping process his thoughts and sharpen his rigging's and gears casting precision over his plans and clean up his state of mind. Removing lime green pieces with ease and the pull of more attached roots with care as to not disturb and uneven the ground allowing potential regrowth, Raidou adds them to his bag as he cogitate's what has come of Quinn's endeavor and where her path had taken her. Trouble not unlike his own, Raidou couldn't help but see the similarity and with it a sense of relation to her. A small pile of aught of use layered together atop the grass, Raidou claims them up and bags them.

Adding sheers back to his bag to free his hands, A quick pull of his red robe to keep it attached to his back.

Raidou continues his survey of the land, keeping his best foot forward and building his reserves to add into the guild vault. It was an important task, one Raidou found all too much gravity in which was why he was so proficient. Although he couldn't argue that the simple act of doing what he was doing was also an activity of calming his mind as well, helping him process and reflect on what has transpired and what would come when the strands of fate were pulled in the rapidly approaching future. A sentiment he was all too prepared to face as with each gathered resource and crafted item, each player he aided and each one he saved the scales tipped ever so slightly in his favor. This patch had been pulled clean, seeming as though the soil here may need more enrichment given how reduced the count of mature pieces among it were present.

Picking himself from where he knelt, Raidou stood and patted the knees of his simple gear. Small tufts of brown as he did so broke free, the slightly dried soil popping free with each stroke of his hand. A quick glance to another circular section of color, this one a bright orange signifying tangerine dreams he had coined them. When brewed up they produced potions and toxins of status effects, either reducing the active timer on them or when refined in large doses produced the opposite. Applying an extract of these, Raidou thought while retracting a few to add to his inventory would yield a toxic effect applied to the edge of a blade.

The orange color reminded him of something...someone else, Raidou couldn't help himself from wondering how Mari was fairing in her ordeals. The last time he had seen her, the first time they had met Raidou was still a bit green around the edges.

Hoping that maybe just maybe, the girl with hair the color of the herbs he was retrieving was doing well. She was buried under a burden Raidou recognized but despite his efforts could not assist her and in hindsight only managed to alienate her further. Raidou was filled with a sense of regret but had to let her process her own issues, no matter how much he wanted to help her it seemed that the potential to do so eluded him. Clipping them one by one, as if accepting the fact and adding them to his bag not in forgetting the promise he had made but choosing to distance himself from it so he could focus on other matters in tandem.

"I wish I could have helped you, but I suppose the first step...wanting help you had not taken." Raidou remarked in the silence, the words finding no ears to hear them.

Upon completion of the harvest of the patch of orange, Raidou washed his hands of the dirt that stuck to his hands from the retrieval. Patting his hands together to clear them from the dust that had claimed the surface of his skin, Raidou moved to a patch of blue ones. These blue came back in two forms to the red wanderer, both as the name he had given them as Liberating Water in a reflection of the almost water-like blue of the leaves and of Haine and her younger sister Ruri. Friends he had not seen in ages, the girls that first at least set him along the path to where he currently stood. The same girls he was seeking to find once again, hoping for the best but fearing the worst. He was guilty of looking to the monument of life hoping that he never saw their names are written upon its surface, each time a held breath released in a gust of relief.

The color of these herbs, when brewed down produced strange effects, most notably when used as an elixir and applied to existing pieces, helped crystallize them making use much easier. A fitting name for the colored plant Raidou thought, liberating-water in quiet reflection of the girls who had liberated him from the pure fury that bled from his tongue together with his instinct to flee from every potential ally and friend he would encounter in the path to come. The path he had to take...

Picking the last of what was contained in the patch under his feet, Raidou retrieved himself from his bow as his legs unfold. It seemed symbolic, as he placed each blue plant into his bag, unhinging the clasp and sliding them in next to what had came before them and what would come after. The patch was empty, but one day he hoped it would regrow.

Carrying himself to the next in line, to a collective of white-tipped plants latched to the surface of the forest. Growing peacefully in tandem with the other colors that graced this small garden, Cold-Ivory in a habitat of other colors in its own strange smell and place. Normally this piece only grew in the snow, which was in part the reason its name, the other being its hue or lack thereof. Raidou took steps to them and hunched down over the pack to begin to peel through them, reminding him of the girl with silver along with the boy the same hair color. They were equally cold to those around them, Kiluia and Setsuna both graced with similar platinum hair. The girl witnessed the demise of her own, leaving her in a state of confusion and isolation. Kiluia an odd one but despite his mixed behaviors and personality Raidou considered him an ally none the less.

Retrieving white plants one after another in a quick extraction with ease, creating a small collection of them to his left side. His care for the location showed given the sheer yield he was capable of removing from its surface, each of them mature enough to produce a potion from if successful in the processes required to do so. Kiluia's name had not yet graced the wall, the monument and Raidou saw a bit of him in Setsuna aiming to keep the young girl close and driven toward a path instead of a bloodthirsty tirade of unfocused fury toward those who had done her wrong. Each piece had a place...a use and Raidou would see them where they fell into a socket, to save them from themselves and those that would wish them harm.

The patch was picked clean as well, Raidou stood up and peeled up what he had mustered from the forest floor.

On to the next in the chain, a quiet reflection of each of his thoughts as he cycled to each patch he had cared for day by day. A few footfalls brought him to a patch of grey, smelling a bit of sulfur or an ignited forge. This was the patch of Iron-Stem's aptly named based on scent and their greyed blackish color. Brought him back to a place with Seldendar and Fives, along with current memories of Griswold. Raidou's path through time had been a long one, the faces that made the timeline like milestones along the side of a long road. Seldentar had been the smith that forged his blade, from a stone he had mustered from a cavern of reflective crystal. The unruly blade latched to his back, as it had been for what seemed like ages and wouldn't be leaving any time soon in a decree of another friend that seemed to vanish from the face of Aincrad.

Placing this plant down into the grass, equally the memory of the crafter that produced his blade Raidou pulled up another. Fives was an awkward one, feeling a strange kinship in his outlandish behaviors and his seemingly out of pace with society. The same tailor that forged the simplistic armor latched to his torso, the smell of iron pungent in the air as Raidou retracted the herb from the soil. Where was Fives now, another name that did not find rest on the front of the monument and seemed to be claimed by time. Looking down at the leathered straps that affixed his gauntlet to his arm and the ones that held strong the belts and pieces that littered his frame, Raidou's attentions drew to the herb in his grasp before he added it to the few that lay in the soil on his side. A final few removed from the dirt, with the clipping of sheers and pulling of roots with snaps and clips. Raidou looks to them with visions of Griswold, the young upstarting blacksmith with a subtle wonder if he would reach the aspirations and sheer magnitude that Seldentar had before him. He seemed to have the willpower to make the journey Raidou had set before him. Raidou was curious still that if he would be able to reach the end of the path created for him, was he strong enough to do so. Placing the last of them into the pile before scooping them all up, Raidou sorted them into his bag quietly adding them into the back of his mind.

This patch was now barren of mature plants, Raidou picked himself from the forest floor and began to beat a path to a patch of yellow plants a short jaunt from where he stood.

Littered along with small stones, the pure electric color of yellowed herbs with greyed roots amongst the rock. Taking care as to not plant his knees into one of the stones comprising the floor underneath him, Raidou drops down to begin his harvest of the materials he had cultivated here. Heart-Bulb Raidou had referred to it as named for its effects over the heart. This herb was capable of either amplifying the effects a potion had on the system or strengthening toxins that wished to bleed a person dry. A soft reminder of Nikki and Miaki flushed forward to the forefront of Raidou's mind back when he took to the front lines. Another soft reminder of the girl Eruda who had weaved the tapestry around his neck. Nikki had taught him the balance he had required to properly wield his sword, on the surface ice he learned to center himself with a sword the same he had when fighting unarmed.

Miaki a man he had only met briefly through Nikki, her other half and the damage to her tank. He had planned out the same way Raidou was doing now, and Raidou came to respect his council and discussion on the best course of action to take. The front lines have been a place he had not stepped into in quite some time but he grew tired of his entrapment here and wondered if Nikki and Miaki still fought on the front, if the ebon vanguard were still fighting the good fight. Placing the bright yellow herb onto the loose rubble floor, each one by one like gravestones of a time that had passed him by in his efforts and disjointed from what had transpired while he took himself in seclusion.

Returning his hands to the rest, time still left to sort as he worked through them in a quiet reflection.

Eruda was a tricky one, the girl seemed infatuated with Raidou and he had no idea how to process such a situation. However her concern and familiarity was welcome none the less, she did so much to aid him and taught him a thing or two about assisting another. She was gone now, and Raidou didn't know if he would ever see the girl again but the lesson she had shown him lived on in his actions now, dropping items into the hands of players at every chance he got as to bolster them and keep them safe when they were at their darkest times. The last of a few yellows left the patch empty, a small pile of yellowed plants of acceptable maturity graced his side that he proceeded to condense and add to his satchel. Latching down the belt loop and tightening it to halt the contents from falling out, Raidou moved on to the next section he could remove small nuggets of value from.

Although he wasn't proficient in entirety, Raidou did his best to glance at a few more resources for the others. A gemstone here, a hunk of ore, a small commune of thread, a recording crystal, a collection of uncut spices. Raidou may not know exactly the processes of dealing with these materials given his profession, his eyesight was keen enough to at the very least locate them and while they were out trying their best to follow the path he had set for them the least he could do is silently aid their efforts. Adding each item to a small rucksack and tieing it to his belt, as to not have it crush the materials he had gathered for himself Raidou moved along debating and deliberating his next course of actions. Raidou started to feel a creep of exhaustion, collecting plants although peaceful and serene was also a bit taxing.

Removing himself from the area, debating if he should travel upward and continue the journey or halt his efforts here. His energy was draining and he would need to rest soon, but Raidou may just have a couple more hours of daylight left to spend. Making his way toward the town of beginnings, a glimmer graces his vision from the side of where he passed. The all too familiar glimmer of a frame of metal around boards of wood, a principle Ceres had made him aware of. 

Looking over the box with a quiet serenity with a soft whisper "Thank you for all you've taught me" Raidou says, looking over the golden trim of this concealed container, hidden behind shrubbery that the cardinal tried to hide from him but he managed to make out in passing. Checking over its surface carefully hoping to find if it was rigged to blow if any cables or strings had it set to activate some device if he should attempt to open it.
