[SP-F10-E3] These eggs... They're Hidden!

The cloaked figure stood on the Tenth floor. There was an Easter event throughout the floors and there lay eggs everywhere, but only today. She chose this floor for two reasons. One: Nobody else would come here. This floor was often hated for some reason because it had somewhat of a creepy vibe. Secondly, the eggs literally glowed. That made them easy to find in the dark, she could just pick and pick and pick. She pulled a pack of... a pack of Asian Cheetos. She opened the pack and looked at the contents. It... it was just dry ramen noodles. 'I spent 600 col on something like this? I am not going back there again thats for sure.' She ate the item and retrieved her Loot bonus. She also traded out her accuracy item for her Shadows Eye which would further boost her Loot Bonus. "Lets Get started" She searched the immediate area finding a few eggs. 'Nice' This was easy.

This was far too easy. She scooped up those eggs, placing them into her inventory. They sat in glowing bunches all throughout the floor. As long as she could avoid the monsters, then she could easily clear this event. Her eyes scanned the area finding several clumps of eggs for her to find. 'I forgot to look at the rewards for this. I'll just have to grab a bunch and see what I can get for this.' She moved to the next bunch, gazing down at the glowing eggs. Maybe this would be getting boring after some time though... she certainly just needed to grab a bunch and then move along. By the end this would be a chore. She couldnt wait though, no way was she going to go spend 600 col again on some uncooked Ramen noodles. That woman needed to have some form of trial after death to pay for her sin for making people pay for some crap item that wasn't even that good. That woman would rue the day. She grabbed a couple of more eggs and moved on.

The cloaked figure continued her own searching, moving over to the next bunch of eggs that lay on the cold floor of the tenth floor. Was this event like the zombie event that took place on halloween? Mindless, easy and just constantly gathering something? Though, she had heard you actually had to fight monsters on that event. She just had to go out and grab a bunch of eggs and then trade them in for some prizes at the end to increase her own ability. She noticed that the events as of recently had become more like this event instead of the bosses that used to appear constantly. Sadly, things like these granted far less skill points. She was trying to level up and get skills and not being givena  bunch of freebies slowed her down a bit. Thats why she had been constantly grinding a bunch of random quests as of recently. They provided a lot of experience and would help her with the process of leveling up and finishing the hide skill.

When gathering, one's mind may float to other things such as the ambiance of the distant beyond. Or other things such as off brand Cheetos made from ramen noodles. Had she even see that girl again she would enact her revenge and make her eat what she decided to bring into the world. Imagine wasting a skill just to make ramen noodles. Talk about unoriginal. Sey was an amazing cook and eating things that he hadn't made almost made her sick to her stomach. She had an expectation of quality now damn it. Before he helped her out she might have been fine with it, but now she had a high-class tastebud. She wasn't going to pay for dollar menu crap food just for some Loot buff that she hardly needed. Finding another group of eggs on the ground she would pick each up one by one until they were all added into her inventory. 'Let's keep going' she thought to herself.

Carrying on more, the cheap knock-off Asian Cheetos powering her through the event to the extent that she could keep finding these eggs without fail. She'd only spent a few minutes searching and gathering but she had managed to gather sixteen eggs as of so far. She assumed she would need about two hundred just for normal items, but two hundred and fifty if she really wanted to go above and beyond in her gathering efforts. Bounding off towards the next group of glowing eggs, she would stop and examine them. They seemed to all be plain in color, but they glowed. They were made of chocolate, so they were edible to soem degree though she assumed if she ate it she would be able to return it to the event so she wouldn't satisfy herself unless she had some left over after the event. That would be tasty and she hadn't had sweets in forever.

The Asian Cheetos sat in her stomache, their terrible design fueling the cloaked figure during the event. No way in any hell that she would even reccommend going to the shop at all. She would rather just face anything going without cooking buffs. These eggs were already terribly easy to find so the waste of col was already probably not needed. If only she could just take some eggs from other players. It would probably be a lot faster than finding them all herself. Maybe some sort of pickpocket skill that would just let her take their eggs. She could use her hiding skill and just swipe the eggs with ease. But no. Here she was, stuck eating of nasty off brand cheetos and hunting alone for some silly eggs in the hope that she could get some good items to help her along. Why wqas cardinal making boring events like this? Give her a boss to fight or something.... This was just like some level one quest.

She had gathered over twenty now, bringing in about ten percent of what she figured she would need just for herself. Within that short of a time, there seemed to be no reason why she couldn't get it done rather soon. As long as she kept at a steady pace she should be able to manage everything that she needed to get. She walked up on the next eggs and looked down at each of them. 'Hmm I really wonder how they taste though...' It had been a long time since she had chocolate. In fact, the last sweet she ate was a Candy Apple that Sey made the day he asked to marry her. at the sudden thought she felt a twinge in her heart. It hurt. Would he still love her after everything she had done to him? She never did think she deserved someone like him. He could have found and fell in love with someone kinder, sweeter, who gave him everything that she couldn't.

Thoughts of how much better her lover could have done clouded her mind as she gathered her eggs. She was by far the worst choice he could have picked. She was quiet, moody, didn't get along with other people, small in more ways then one. What did he see in her? He would have been much better off pursuing someone else who could cater to his every need and go into the public with and so much more. Her mood suddenly dropped. Why did she do this to herself? She got to thinking and ending up putting herself in a bad mood for no reason.She continued on, stepping through the damp stone floor to grab the next group of eggs that littered on the ground. If she got in any worse of a mood she would end up stress eating all of her chocolate eggs and have nothing to show for the day of work. She picked up the eggs from the ground and placed them into her inventory and continued to the next batch.

Shutting down her own emotions, she found something else to focus on instead of how Sey may or may not feel about her. The Cheetos. Off brand, no good, waste of inventory space Asian Cheetos. Why the shop keep ever thought it was a good and humane idea to sell it as product she would never know. Instead, she would have to live through the atrocity in silence, quietly waiting for the day to take revenge for selling her such low-quality items. She should have walked back in that store and demanded a refund! Although, she would have wasted precious time for gathering and leveling up. She was certain she would see that white-haired girl again somewhere. She would never forget that face, and she would ensure that her wrath would be felt the next time their fates parted. It was her destiny to rid the world of such filth. 

I am going to stop putting LD since there is 100% chance of finding eggs.

The amount of eggs she was managing to find seemed to be diminishing. Only finding two eggs in a bunch was holding her back by extreme amounts. Sh e needed to find more. More fast. A couple of eggs was not going to make her job easy, but instead much much harder. She needed to pick the pace. She wondered if the gatherer skill that she dropped long ago would have helped her finish this task. Helped her find more eggs in a single area. The question was: how did these eggs get here? If the egg boys dropped them here, then why did they want them and willing to trade valuable items for them? It just didn't make sense! Did something take the eggs from them and then they just wanted all of them back? In that case that was a lot of chocolate. From all the players, it would be enough for one whole year.

Another five eggs. That was the speed that she wanted to be finding them at. It was almost essential to getting the job done in a timely manner that she wouldn't lose her sanity. If she spent hours doing this, she would most surely need some time to mentally recharge from all of this utter bull crap. Like seriously, just let her fight some strong monsters for these rewards! But no, she was hear collecting eggs like some mere child. What did they think these players were? All of them were five year olds blubbering about the death world of Aincrad?  She supposed if the rewards were truly worth it then maybe it would actually amount to something in the end but this was just getting out of hand. Over two-hundred eggs in a single day just to earn some rewards to get her gear up to par. She really should have paid attention to what they were.

Who dropped all of these damn eggs? She was nearing fifty eggs in total and she could still see the glowing dairy products littering Floor Ten's ground. The mosnters had left her alone, maybe it was safer to travel due to the event? Normally she would have had to fight off a couple of monsters but nope. All was quiet. No monsters, no NPC's, and no players to bother her. I mean, Floor ten was already where she went to get away from anyone else. Nobody seemed to like it. It really didn't seem to scary to her, but it repelled a lot of players. The fourth floor seemed to get a lot of attention which gave reason to her distaste of it. She didn't like crowded areas. If she was with another player, she really wouldn't like a group larger than three. Any more and it would just be a crowd and she didn't like crowds. The cloak should prove that statement. there she went. another five eggs!

She was now almost a quarter of the way to her goal. Perhaps this would go much faster than she had originally thought. She could probably pick up a few more eggs just so that she could get more items, but she doubted she would need more than three hundred total. She swore, if she only needed to gather fifty or so and she grabbed two-hundred she was going to be pissed and somehow ravage Aincrad with her surplus of chocolate eggs. She pressed on though, moving over to the next group of eggs that laid on the ground. It was a good thing they were wrapped or else they would all be dirty and no good on the cold hard wet floor. She picked the up and placed them in her inventory before looking out and sighing. There was just so many to pick up and only one of her. She was willing to take donations from other players. She didn't want to sit here and do this forever.

She would take a break after finding one more egg. That would be fifty and twenty five percent of the required work done. she supposed the work she had done was fast and efficient. If she would have been more prone to finding the group of six eggs instead of just two it would have gone much faster. At least there was an event going on to double all experience gained. Gathering provided a small amount so that she could get them all eventually. She wondered if Mari and Aereth were also hunting eggs, trying to get themselves stronger. They were both a higher level and Mari seemed to be gaining levels faster than she could manage. She wondered if the woman managed to find and hide away a great experience spot or was just constantly grinding eighteen hours a day. Some of her own time went to searching for the Laughing Coffin base so maybe that was it.

Continuing on with her searches, she would search for the glowing eggs that littered the ground. She wondered if there was somewhere a chicken that had laid these chocolate eggs, and that was the final boss of this event. The cloaked figure moved to the next bunch, her mind immediately thinking that perhaps  it would be easy to just give up on the event and turn this bunch in a group of scrambled eggs. Instead, she would pick them up and place them into her inventory. There was so many more eggs left to pick up and she had already grabbed so many of them. And she still had so much left to go....

Pushing forward, she would make her way through the floor, trodding along the damp floor in search for new eggs. Perhaps she should have requested someone come help her on this journey so she could have at least someone to talk to. Maybe Mari was somewhere on this Floor?

Searching for even more of the chocolate capsules that littered the ground. The cloaked figure stepped along the area, fueled by the Asian Cheetos that were so terrible in quality they made her cringe and her anger reach its maximum. She squatted next to the group of eggs, examining them before picking them up and placing them into her inventory. A few more and she was on her way. She had strayed some distance away from town, perhaps she should circle back around and grab the eggs she missed? Nah, if anything, the area nearest to town would be grabbed by the lower leveled players that were afraid to move too far from the town. She stood back up, looking through the mushroom lit clearing and searched back to see if there was any players that were following her and trying to sneak up on her. She didn't want tog et attacked over some eggs.

How many minutes had she already spent doing this stuff? Thirty minutes? She had lost count and was getting tired of this egg gathering. If she didn't think that the rewards were worth it she would not be wasting her time on such a silly side quest. She practically skipped over to her next spot and gazed down at the chocolate eggs that laid ont eh ground at her feet. Ona  second thought, perhaps eating these eggs would be a bad idea. They were just sitting on the ground, cold and damp. They probably didn't taste to good. This entire Floor was vacant of things such as grass and the floor had an alien feel to it. Glowing Mushrooms, rivers that had an irony taste and smelled terrible? It defienently wasn't like the rest of the floors with lush grass, frozen wastelands, awful deserts. The air here was musty, but the floor was calm without the bustle of players.

"I've got all of my eggs, sitting a row. They're on the ground, laying around, this event does kind of blow!" She whispered her new song to the silence that hung around her, the words unreaching any ears. "God dang why does something like this take so long! What kind of NPC needs this many chocolate eggs? Is he an NPC in a middle school Math problem?" She trudged along, seeming to almost drag herself through the endless job of picking up all of these damn eggs. Was it Cardinal that came up with the ideas for these events, or was it the creator himself who just wanted to see him break down the wills of the players who participated in the event. The rewards were too good to pass up, but the way of getting them made it hardly worth the effort. It seemed the time would be soon before she began to succumb to making egg puns.

The search was long and hard... well not hard but really really boring. Painstakingly boring. She wanted to stab herself with her dagger. The reason that she didn't is if she didn't live onshe could never ennact her revenge on the maker of the Asian Cheetos. That was a fate she could not stand for. She must have her revenge and nothing was going to stop her from getting it. She moved along,  understanding she would need the help of any items recieved from the event if she wanted to have any chance of defeating a chef that was crazy enough to call what she ate food. That level of craziness could only be produced by someone with the pwoer to back it. She was probably on the level of the top players, or maybe that was her insanity talking. She didn't know, there was just far too many eggs to gather and such a short time to do it in without losing sanity.

Furthering her amount of eggs that she was gathering didnt seem to hard, but it was getting tiresome. She was almost halfway to her minimum goal, but she had already spent quite a bit of time out here.She might just go ahead and decide to take a small break once she reached the mark of one hundred eggs. That would be a good place to call for a bit of rest. I mean, she already had enough for at least one reward? At two hundred she could get about two or three and be just fine and happy. Was this event just preparing for the Floor twenty five boss? She assumed as it was a quarter of the way up it would be a lot harder than anything the players had fought before. she doubted that she would be allowed back by the time they cleared the floor however. The problem was, if they took out the boss first and a few of them died, less would be able to help with Laughing Coffin.
