It wasn’t long before she spotted the next boar tusk. It was the final one that she needed and she was rearing to pick it. But a boar was in the way. She ran at it with a head of steam. Everything shimmered before her eyes as she saw her goal clearly. She wanted to slice it powerfully so powerfully in fact that it wouldn’t even know what hit it. She could no longer be soiled with the blood of the boars. Everything, absolutely everything she forgot went there in the back of her mind along with the gore and guts that spilled due to this boar being sliced nearly in two. And it only took a click for everything to come back to her. He had to arm himself with patience and courage. What she had always been looking for was there, within reach of her actions. “Just forget about the gore,” she told herself with a whimper.

She was so overtaken by her emotions that she couldn’t even speak. She wanted to vomit when the guts splashed onto her. Not even her training could keep her from noticing how real everything was. She just wanted to run on home but she had a job to finish. The boar somehow still lived even after slicing through it. She just needed to put it out of its misery so that she could gather in peace… She swung again, but blood got in her eye and she missed because of it. She rubbed it and spat on the floor’ Gross!” she shouted at the top of her lungs. She heard laughter behind her and she shuddered. Why did that guy have to still be here watching? Her courage would come back to her soon, it would be finally possible to wrap up this task. She sagged slightly, a tear pointing to the corner of her eye. She had waited so long…

She was bored of all this but she was still determined to finish her task. She sliced the boar dead with one more swipe of her blade and watched it squirm on the ground before dying. She then harvested what she needed and went back to the person who hired her to do all this work. The boy who had bothered her this whole time was gone now, maybe he was sent to make sure she would be okay and save her if she wasn’t. She sighed, it was all over now. She walked all the way back to the man’s workshop, the one who hired her to bring him all this stuff to begin with. He accepted the stuff and rewarded her in kind. It wasn’t much but it was definitely worth an afternoon of slaying boars. You couldn’t beat this kind of payment at her age and experience that was for sure.

Hinatao kept thinking about her dream as she approached the next boar and slashed at it. And if she had spent enough time in the first floor recently. She had taken a few weeks off of doing quests and she was realizing just how boring her life in SAO was. She who normally had spent most of her time outside of the house long enough to experience what it was truly like to be free. She had recently gotten permission to leave the area to do quests too. She just had to figure out a way to send reports back to her friends. She considered sending a messenger to them to inform about her potential setbacks and the important discoveries she would be making while going after those rare and new adventures. The question was, did she even care anymore? There was so much that she had to do and she was realizing just how little the game had done for her.

Hinatao attacked the boar again and missed this time. She knows that there was absolutely no one here by her. It's far too scary for her to succeed. Until then, she had regarded her own's punishment as ridiculous. But now, she realized that she has no one to talk to, with whom to bicker. No chance to challenge anyone in battle. Solitude, to this degree had never been experienced before. And it was so heavy to bear all at once that Hinatao began to regret her decision. She even felt tears rise to her eyes dry with dirt. In anger, she sent a violent blow to the dirt near her face. She was tired of this junk always stuck to her. Except that it only causes a new dark cloud and a new lazy rain around her. She screams her rage this time, cursed in this cry her own for once again made her slave to a world she hates.

Hinatao attacked and missed the boar again. She was unable to carry her pride to the safety of her back, so that she must also pull their weight tenfold by the dirt when they drag on the ground miserably. She did not really know where she's going, she just needed to get around. This hellish land was worse than anything she had imagined. There was fire absolutely everywhere. She was completely covered and she could not move without sucked up asphyxia. She tries not to get discouraged, but she was literally at the lowest she could be. How could she get up when she was at the bottom and nothing positive remained in her dream life? She on her stomach, grunted as the dust gets into her eyes and mouth. She decided to give up. All this silence was made her crazy. This was the first time she has ever experimented with loneliness. And it far from pleased her.

She walked through this pasture and looked around. Boars. Great. She thought that this area would have new enemies but what else did she expect? Boars guarded what she needed so she had to slaughter them. She slashed at the first boar that charged at her and felt her blade skim its tusk. It was probably because she was so tiny because a fully sized person would have easily landed that blow. She got a bit of nostalgia which appeared in her heart as she recalled all the times she had practiced on training dummies. Why was this happening? This feeling he felt was very real almost as if it was coming from the deepest part of her heart. She shook her head. The nostalgia didn’t do anything for her right now. She’d just missed an easy target so she had to strike it again. She just had to wait for it to come back around and try goring her again.

She looked at the boar and swung again, only to miss again. What was going on with her? She felt a twinge in her head that reminded her of her nostalgia. “Don’t tell me I’m that attached to this lifestyle,” she told herself. She didn’t want to be killing boars for the rest of her life. What was going on? She had a sudden urge to cry, to throw back on the world all that she had endured during all these years. It was like an impression of déjà vu, a situation she had already encountered a thousand times before. She threw her hair back. There was a great need to change the scenery around her, otherwise the world would capsize under her. She took heavy breaths as she contemplated just going home after getting her final tusk of the day. She was so down to just go home and come back later to wrap this up.

As she swung and missed for the third time in a row she really contemplated giving up on this particular boar. But she saw that it was protecting what she needed. She couldn’t just circumvent him or else it’d actually get to get a free shot on her and she wasn’t that durable. She had some good armor, yes, but it was still going to suck bigly if she got rear ended by those pointy things. She didn’t want to damage her armor either by taking any unnecessary risks. She just thought about walking around her room a bit, and napping on a sofa. She just had a few more things to wrap up then she could go… She paused for a few seconds, and analyzed the situation. Alone in this fight, she had to pass time by until she finally killed some more boars and got the stuff she desired.

“Focus, you can’t keep missing all day. You might actually go crazy if you just keep doing it again and again.” Yet she still missed her next slash. This was some omega ultra slippery boar that just glanced her blows and twisted its body in unimaginable ways to avoid her attacks. There was no problem in itself in there, but the problem was that a hunt for information on this stuff was going to be very difficult. She had been informed of this information that the boars were harder than first thought the day before, and immediately she set out again to indicate the latest changes in boar’s strategies. From a distance she could hear a knocking sound. The girl turned her head from the boar where it was focusing on, and strained her ears, after having immobilized herself so as to make no noise. Of course, she couldn't hear from here…

The sound she heard was enough to make her miss yet again. She just wanted to throw her blade to the ground and wrestle this big pig for all the trouble it had caused her. “Damn you boar!” she shouted in anger. “Too late, I'm here!” shouted one of her friends that just happened to be strolling along. “Hello! I hope you had no problem getting here, we just moved our house just two months ago, so few know our HQ. Aare you coming for the gathering thing?” she waited for the answer, then went on, “Ah, hm. On the other hand… it looks like you aren’t done yet.” “If I asked for help, it's not for nothing. I can't. I already told you that I should do this myself. (I’m not sharing any rewards here.” She breathed in despair as she closed her eyes, then returned her gaze to the intruding friend.

With all the distractions out of the way, she finally landed her hit on the boar and it dropped dead. Only for her to realize that what she thought she needed was just something else from what the boar was guarding. It was a collosal waste of time. “All this and you don’t even give me what I need,” she kicked the boar’s body to the side. “god this sucks.” Her friend said, “I'm sorry for the inconvenience but are we going? We have to pick up some stuff but if you’re not done then stay here. Here is the card, I entrust it to you; I already know the numbers and the places since I made a location there. She smiled a bittersweet smile. She had been relying on her to finish up quickly so they could do stuff together later. Too bad her luck was absolutely trash today given how things had gone.

After all that she needed a break. There was no point in continuing to stress out about that boar who had nearly given her a migrane at such a young age. She noticed that her friend was still there, wasting her time. “I’m just going to rest for now,” she announced to her friend. The friend listened to the young woman and respond to all this heartache that she had released, recovered her coat, and left without saying another word. It was not too hot for a spring day, fortunately, and because of this the girl was going to be able to complete her work of the day without a hitch so long as she could poke around for a little and relax. Hinatao looked around and found some eggsthat wasn’t being guarded by the boars so that was a plus. It was low quantity and didn't detract from being sad about the boars not dropping tusks.

She hoped that her friend would understand and accept her apology. She seemed tired - or was it her daily attitude? She was looking for someone, perhaps the person who will take care of the task with her. But nobody was going to help her in this state. She had to become stronger if she was going to lead anyone and expect them to help her. She wondered if she would ever get a task that revolved around tracking as she looked around for more eggs. She found some, but not a lot of it. It was all good though. She was taking a break from boars anyway. She had heard that the tasks revolving around tracking were very exciting. This consists of finding the locations corresponding to the numbers of the card in order to be able to place traps there. Except that the traps were not with them. You had to look for them in a warehouse where dangerous creatures prowled.

While looking for more eggs, she pulled up the other tasks she could take. There were some indeed revolving around putting traps and tracking. She wondered if it were pertinent to be careful not to disclose the place of the warehouse. Of course, she had not been wrong to worry, on the contrary, her action was worth and was greatly justified since bullies liked to come along all the time; but she had made it clear to the people that gave her tasks that she was interested in something other than gathering. People didn’t like to send you out on dangerous stuff when you were so green though… She clearly used to meet up with older people of her kind, by her rank, her position on the totem pole was pretty low, and the missions she took on were reflective of that. But there, of course, everything was different when you got stronger unexpectedly.

Having finally found enough to satisfy her, it was time to go attack some more boars to get the good stuff. It didn’t take long to find one. They just swarmed all over the place in this pasture. She slashed at one vertically and hoped to land a hit. She missed. It infuriated her to realize that she had missed again when she’d already missed so many times today. It was like her arms were officially not operational and simply accompanied the young woman at her sides. Normally, the blade she used would have done everything asked of it, but there they were working against each other, it was a combination of circumstances and a situation that originated from her not resting enough and simply being too frustrated to make things work out. “I swear if I miss again, I’m going to lose it,” she told herself. She would probably just toss her blade and use a different one instead.

The woman swung again, not even caring that she had missed and actually hit the boar with a surprise attack. The boar didn’t even register the hit until it took a step and realized that it couldn’t walk properly anymore. It stopped, and discreetly inspected the surroundings. After a few moments of pause, it charged at her again and just happened to miss her. She carefully pulled it by the tusk and drug it to the side. They crossed across the pasture, went around all while grapping with each other, passed through dozens and dozens of trees and bushes, jumped over a few obstacles, and finally arrived in front of a large ditch. “I’m going to toss you in there you pig!” she shouted, but it wasn’t giving up. It broke free and charged again. Most might have thought her efforts pitiful but there was no point in trying to act cool when you couldn’t even handle a boar.

Unfortunately all the grappling made it difficult and ultimately she couldn’t overcome the boar’s strength and she was pushed back. It took the opportunity to slam into her which sucked. It made her cough up some spit and then she spit it out. She swung with her blade and missed, unsurprisingly. She had just been rammed of course it would set her off. She just had to hope the next swing would work out better. She could ask you to reveal where she was now. She’d gone all over the place with this bvoar and she didn’t even know which way her home was... She wanted to advise herself not to approach this boar again but she had to finish the fight. She would not come back here without a good reason, otherwise she was afraid that something unfortunate was going to happen to her mental health. Who was she kidding? She’d come back so long as they kept paying her.

As soon as she registered that she missed she tried to hit the boar again only to miss again. She wanted to fall asleep and get swept away to the same wasteland she visited on a prior night. It felt as though nothing has changed. She was lost in thought, seeking a way to leave this hellish land once she was strong enough to do so. It was with a start that she realizes that there was movement in a pile of dirt not far from her. Hinatao recoiled sharply, opened her eyes wide, distinguished a snout from hesitated out of the dirt. The creature extracts its head completely, barely bigger than an apple. The girl remained motionless, subjugated by the presence of life in this place. Was it an armadillo? Or just a tiny pig? She couldn’t tell at a distance. Maybe she would check it out after this boar was dead.

Luckily, this time she landed her hit and was able to slay the boar. She took to foraging around for the boar tusk she was after and she found it. It was just enough to warrant her taking a break and doing something else for a while. Whether she would do that though was yet to be seen. She took it to the person who hired her in the first place and was instructed to take something somewhere else. She would do that all later. For now she just wanted to relax and stop thinking about boars for some time. She never wanted to do this again. She just went home and went to lay down. The light has rarely reached this place in her room, so there could be no distractions... Hinatao looks out to the clouds, where the tunnel through which sunlight entered was before closing. Well, it’d been a fun day.
